Will - (1) A wish or desire often combined with determination
(2) Power of controlling ones actions or emotions
Mathew 7 v 21
"Not everyone who says to me, "Lord,Lord,"will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
Many people believe there is only sweet love and no separation from Jesus' love and us. God wants us to be Holy that is his main aim for all of us; for us to be Holy as He is Holy. To be Holy means to separate for God; not from God. But when we are asked if we love our Heavenly Father above all else and our answer is yes but the way we think and live does not match our answer, He will make us right. We have to hear and we have to respond. Jesus may love us more than any of us can imagine but His Heavenly Father comes before anything and anyone. This is something people do not want to accept, they want to be what they think God wants them to be.
In James 1 v 22-27, James talks about how we can show our love to the Father. 22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive ourselves. Do what is says.23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.25 But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it-he will be blessed in what he does. 26 If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. 27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
For most of my life I was a "false" christian. If people ask me if I believed in God I would say, "Yes, of course I do, I go to church, I pray." Did I love God before all else? NO! Scripture is what we live by if we are a child of God. We do not turn it into something we think He may accept because we do not love Him enough. We should love Him enough to let him change every part and every minute of our lives. It doesn't matter all the wonderful works you do for Him or that you prophesy in his name if you do not love Him more than anything and anyone else you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. It is not the love of people or ourselves that pleases our Father most but it is the love we share together between Him and ourselves that pleases Him. If we love Him more than anyone and ourselves He teaches us how to love everyone His way. Through His relationship with us; by always seeking to know Him and He will reveal Himself to us. Then He will fill us up with all His love to share with everyone else. Don't be one of those people He tells "I never knew you".
Mathew 7 v 23 Then I will tell them plainly, "I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!"
The love of our Heavenly Father must come before all people, places and things. He is the only one that can complete us.
1 John 4 v 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
My words are not my own they have been given to me from my Heavenly Father, I hope you will hear them and pass them on. The same grace that is offered to me everyday is offered to you. Much love and Many Prayers, Vicki Gann
