Spirit, I surrender

Spirit, I surrender

John 16 v 13
When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth.  For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak whatever He hears.  He will also declare to you what is to come. 14 He will glorify Me, because He will take from what is Mine and declare it to you.15 Everything the Father has is Mine. This is why I told you that He takes from what is Mine and will declare it to you.

This was something God put in my heart to write to you this morning.  He is telling me we are falling short because we do not receive what He died for. I believe we as believers are living in a world of duty, we are showing a loyal reverence for a person by being duitful almost to the point of being excessively religious through what we do, not what God has done for us. There is no proof in us that shows we need the death of Jesus Christ. Does your life show it cost the love of God? Does your life show it died through the blood of Christ? Does it manifest the voice of one who looks upon it and says, "That is the work of God Almighty".  When we receive the Holy Spirit we are receiving God Almighty. God works in us everyday, every minute He is within us.  He is not a copy, or something we have to be like, we are like Him.  He is not only our example, an object  we must copy. He saves us by giving of Himself to us. He is our salvation from oursleves when we are lost and broken in sin. Christ says, "everything the Father has is mine. This is why I told you that He takes from what is mine and will declare it to you." We do not speak or act on our own any longer.  As Christ was glorified we also will be gloried in a new life.
When we receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit He begins telling us the truth about Jesus, He is no longer an object of thought we praise, He exists in our thoughts so we are over whelmed with gratitude and praise for the new life He has given us through this life and the one to come. We then can not help but to share what He has done for us and then He begins working through us for His purpose. All the glory be to God for giving us Jesus Christ on the cross. Without Christ I would not truly live.
