Do we have free will?

We are going through some believers in Christ thinking that we do not have any free will in any situation.  We also have some believers that believe we do everything ourselves.  I do not want to discuss different denominations I want to discuss our Bible, Christ and our Heavenly Father, which for me is all we need to discuss.  If we discuss these three divine persons and His word all else will be proven to our own spirits satisfaction.
I believe we have been given a free will to choose our Heavenly Father and their is proof in the Bible.  I believe God knows everything that is going to happen in life, I believe He creates certain things to happen in our lives to prove He is The Creator and has better control of our lives than we possibly can. (Thank you God) I do know through our choices and daily sin we create consequence our self that may produce heartaches and misfortune we may have to go through. Either way, if we sin and create consequences or He creates consequences, He will be there to guide us and comfort us through it, all we have to do is love him.  He loved us first but we have to love Him for His love to grow within us. He knows all but He does not decide all for us.  He knows if we are going to believe and love Him or not, but He does not make us love Him or believe in Him. Would you want someone to love you out of free will or would you rather make someone love you? If that was the case we would not be free would we? I am free, because I love Him!!
In the Hebrew version of the Bible there are 4 different variations of the word choose, which is used 246 times in the old testament. In the new testament there are 10 variations used 65 times which gives a total use of the word 311 times.  I believe if there were no choice for us to choose our Heavenly Father He  would not have used it and told us many, many times about how we are to love Him first, if we have no free will He would not tell us to love Him first He   would  automatically make us love Him first.  He knows who will love Him but He does not make us love Him.  He creates circumstances to know Him but we miss them over and over, I missed many circumstances, but when I finally heard Him and had ears to here and eyes to see I turned and He was waiting patiently for me. I am sure He got up set with me and was sad every time I did not respond to His call, but when I did, I know He rejoiced because I heard Him in my heart while I was rejoicing He was too!
God uses the word regret 2 times in the Bible.  When He created the flood, and when He appointed Saul King.  I know a lot of you believe the people chose Saul to be King but I believe the people wanted a King and God did not.  The people did not listen to God about how a King would not be able to lead them as He did.(Sound familiar?) He wanted Judges but they were mere men too, they did not follow in the Lords foot steps all the time either.  Samuel was the first Judge but He appointed His sons to lead after him and they did not follow God like there father Samuel did. If you want a good story read Samuel 1 and Samuel 2.  God picked Saul for the first King but the people chose the idea of wanting a King.  Now if God chose everything for us and was in control of our free will  and we had no free will, He would have done what He wanted to do not what the people wanted. It is written in 1 Samuel v16 Anoint him leader over my people Israel:he will deliver my people from the hand of the Philistines. I have looked upon my people, for their cry has reached me." He picked Saul to be the first King.  Saul however did not follow or wait for God to guide Him. He jumped a head of God and did not obey Him often. If there is regret there is sadness. If we do not choose, why would there be any regret or any sadness.  God wanted Saul to choose Him above all else so did Samuel, but Saul had other ideas and God hardened his heart because He knew Saul would never choose Him over himself.  God gave Saul many chances but He never turned to God, He only cared about himself.  David knew God had appointed Saul King, that is why David did not kill Him.  He had three chances to kill Him but David loved our Heavenly Father above Himself and let Saul live out of love for God because God had anointed Saul to be King.  Saul was anointed by God to be King. This scripture was written for us to learn many things from, freewill is just one of the  things we can learn from this.  Our leaders are human they are not God, every leader will make mistakes but they must love our Heavenly Father above all else.  He can only lead them into being a great leader, whether it is leading a nation, a family, or our self, God must come before all else then He will put Himself in your heart so you will never loose Him.  Thank you Jesus for choosing us so we can choose you!! It has always been our choice to choose Him after He chooses us, we can be like Saul, and God can regret ever choosing us.  Now with the Holy
Spirit we are sealed into Him, we have help that Saul and David never had! Thank you Jesus!! Please write me and give me your thoughts on this widely discussed topic.  God gives us all that we have and are, we have to let Him work within us for Him to show us who we are.  With out Him we are nothing.  I love you and pray for all to know Him. Jesus himself says in John 7 v 17 If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.  Thank you Jesus, I love you so much!!! As always this is what God has taught me through my journey of getting to know Him.  You have your own journey with God, please commit so we all can learn more about Him through others.
Many prayers,
Vicki Gann

There are certainly plenty of particulars like that to take into consideration. That is a great level to bring up. I supply the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you carry up where a very powerful thing will be working in trustworthy good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged round issues like that, however I am certain that your job is clearly recognized as a good game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment' pleasure, for the remainder of their lives.
