Since I have been in my ministry I have grown each day getting closer to the Lord. This week my Lord has taught me suffering through death, through pain and through rejection. My word everyday is everyday. Everyday He leads us, every day He comforts us, every day He teaches us, every day He gives us faith, every day He loves us, every day He disciplines us, every day He blesses us, every day We LOVE HIM. This is one of those times the last is the first. Because if we do not do the last thing I mentioned we will not receive the others, and because I love Him, I will receive all that God has given His son Jesus Christ, so I can be strong and have peace through all situations and I am truly free. He takes care of all my suffering. If you are suffering because of what you are going through by what life gives you then you are suffering for no reason. To choose God's will even if it means you will have to suffer is a whole different meaning. This kind of suffering is suffering through sacrifice, the giving up of yourself for Him. These are the two sufferings I am going to talk about. I hope this will help you in your everyday life because He gives me all wisdom to share with others and because I love Him I must share and help others so they may love Him as I do.
First we are going to talk about choosing to suffer ourselves. This has been proven through out History, we all are going to suffer, we all are broken, we are always going to have trouble. We may choose to make bad choices like our forefathers since time began or we may have things happen to us in life that are out of our control. Either way we are all going to suffer from our own mistakes or trouble through living life. If you have no troubles you are not truly living. I made bad choices in my life that led to other bad choices that still led to others. This made me have low esteem, doubt and worry. It over took me till it made me feel worthless. Then I let the world in my life and the world is very cruel in labeling us and figuring everything out for us, for all the wrong reasons, then I was in control for all the wrong reasons. The world has a bad habit of kicking us when we are already down. This kind of suffering has God no where around it, we may call on Him and say Lord, Lord but He will never know us because we never took it upon ourselves to get to know him. We rather stay in the world getting more confused in who we are then turning to our Creator. Like Jesus says in Mathew 7v21-23 "Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven".22 Many will say to me that day, Lord, Lord did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?" 23Then I will tell them plainly, "I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!" I know Jesus sounds harsh here to some people and some may say Jesus is not like this, but Jesus knows His Father, He Loves His Father above all else; He only listens to Him not the world. God knows our hearts and our reasons for us doing what we do, that is all that should matter to us, like Jesus says who ever does the will of my father I will know. Jesus says also to know Him is to love Him and to love Him is listen and practice His words. Matthew 7 v 24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. v 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. Jesus also says in John 14v15 If you love me, you will obey what I command.16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. Always remember the command does not come first, the love comes first so you will want to comand out of your love for Him. If you have work but no love; you gain nothing. Paul says this in 1 Corinthians 13 v 2-3 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. This is why the love God has for you and the love you have for God is the most important will of the Father, He put you First so you in return should put Him First.
I do not know about you, but my house is built on a rock and I put to practice His words everyday and the Counselor, the Holy Spirit tells me all truth and I believe. I also know Him for He lives with me and in me. This did not come to me in a day or a week, a month or a year, it has taken me a few years and a lot of "everydays" for this miracle of His to happen in my life! This is suffering through ourselves and what the world gives us everyday and of course His grace will become stronger in you everyday to overcome anything the world dishes out, remember Jesus also says He has conquered the world. I believe when people suffer they do not need us to sympathize with them to the point that they only see us, our pain and theirs, I believe that hinders us. That brings on self pity and I have had plenty of that, I have Jesus Christ in me, I want you to see Him not me, I want people to know His power through my weakness, do not dwell on our weakness only in His power to overcome them. Thank you Jesus for making me all that I AM. Without you I would have and be nothing!
Now if you are suffering because of Gods will it is all together a different suffering. We must always suffer for God to become one with His spirit within us. We have to give up our own life for the life He has for us. We have to sacrifice our selves for Him out of love for Him so He can work in us everyday, so we learn through His work how we are reborn and the result being Children of God. We are reborn through the death of our old self! I will brake this sentence down for you, it is a mouth full!!! We love Him so much when we realize how much our Lord Jesus Christ loves us through dying for us on the cross, He sacrificed everything for us so we could be saved. Jesus sacrificed everything for us through sacrificing everything to the will of His Father out of love for Him. He was afraid, He suffered, He was led always by His Fathers words and His Fathers presence in His Life. He was always quoting His Fathers words, not His, His Fathers. He was always praying to His Father for strength and guidance, and always thanking His Father. Jesus was devoted, trusted and loved His Father before all else. This is suffering for the life of being a Child of God. There is no us in the life of a Child of God, it is only being His children and His teaching us how to live through His life for us.
There is always something we can give up everyday for our Lord, what can you give up today? You will suffer but it will not be the kind of suffering you will regret, it will be the kind of suffering you learn from. It will glorify Him when you become a Child of God and He will glorify you. Like Paul says, 2Corinthians 4 v 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far out weighs them all.18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. I hope you can see the difference in each suffering we each have. Our God, our Father our Creator is the answer to all suffering, I hope this helps you in learning how to trust in Him so you may receive the fullness of Him in your daily everyday lives. As always this is my journey and what God has taught me through my relationship with Him, you have your own relationship with Him and He will also teach you things to share with me. I love everyone, peace I give to you that He has given to me to share.
