Good afternoon! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 1v7
We are testing ourselves today with God's definition of "vain".
2 Corinthians 6v1 As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain.
When we become workers of God we should never receive God's grace for our own use to prove our own abilities. If we are working for God it is to glorify Him in making us who we are and not for any other reason. There are many of us today that do not want to be called a "door mat" or some of us that do not want to help others because we do not get patted on the back for our help or we may get mistreated in someway by others. We may go through many hardships and not be glorified by people. If we think this way God says we are receiving God's grace in vain, for our own use; it is His grace being used in vain and not His love that is commending us for our work. We commend ourselves by God commending us by His love through the Holy Spirit that enables us to endure all things. Through His love our feelings and emotions are His feelings and emotions given to us, we can endure what ever He endures. His love commends true children of God in every way: in great endurance, in hard work, in speech and in the power of God. His love commends us through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown and sorrowful, yet always rejoicing. His love commends us because we may appear to some of not having anything in this world but to others like us, because they too are like Him, we possess everything! Thank you Jesus for giving us all we need for this life! We still speak the truth in our Lords power of love. His love can change them because our love is His love and it never changes; it is their love for us that may change. It is by His love given to us is why we can endure what ever evil spirit is thrown at us, it is why it can't be shaken, and it is why it is always ready to forgive! If it is our love only we could not endure all things, our feeling would control us not His love for us. We would focus on ourselves and not others. Our love for them will always be there because it is His love. Just like His love was, is and always will be there for us; we wait patiently for His love to come out of them. We may see and know His love in others but they may not see His love or know His love in them. Their hearts are closed and we say to them in fair exchange, as we would speak to our own children, "Open wide your hearts also." They may not walk with us, but we will always be waiting patiently for them to walk with us so He to will walk with them and live in them. Thank you Jesus for all your many gifts through the Holy Spirit because with out your love, faith, and hope given to us we could not be who you want us to be for others; waiting patiently with the love you give us for others. If someone we know does not know God or know Him as we do, we need to be patient and let His love shine through us. We need to always remember it is us following Him that changed us to be like Him, we do not follow ourselves in what we want to be for our own purpose. Read 2 Corinthians 6. I love you with all the love Christ gives me for you.
