Good morning! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 1v7
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of "followed him".
Matthew 4v25 Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him.
When we follow Jesus means we will continue where he left off. We will be preaching the good news of the kingdom of God to whoever God puts in our path, healing every disease and sickness among the people. People will bring to us all who are ill with various diseases, those suffering sever pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and paralyzed, and he will still heal them through us. We have lost the power He has given us from our lack of having faith in Him to use it. We do not dsire to be close to Him enough to loose our own life and receive our new life with Him which is our true life. (Matthew 10v39 and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. v40 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.) the cross we carry is the same cross he carried and it was persecution and God blessed Him when He was persecuted just has God blesses us when we are persecuted. God gave Christ all he needed in this life to perform the task He gave Him and God also gives us all we need to perform our same task to spread the good news, heal every disease and sickness among the people. Are we freely receiving all he wants to give us and are we freely giving what He has given us? The sickness from physical diseases as well as spiritual diseases. When we follow we will begin our new life He has created for us and leave our old life behind. We believe in who He is within ourselves, we are healed by His love for us on the cross and He gives us the Holy Spirit, the same Spirit that enabled Him to be all God wanted him to be enables us to be all God wants us to be! Is our life continuing where his life left off, are we following Jesus? (Read Matthew 4v18-25 and Matthew 10) I love everyone with the love Christ gives me for you!
