Good afternoon! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 1v7
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of "old self".
Romans 5v6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin
He died so we could truly live. For those of us that think we combine ourselves with God this scripture should help you gain God's understanding how we die so we can truly live and not us live but Christ lives through us. It is Christ that works through us by the gift of the Holy Spirit. We are therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father , we too may live a new life. Just has God lived through Christ on earth for Christ to be able to complete God's purpose, Christ lives through us for Him to continue to complete His purpose. We are one with Christ as the Father is one with Christ because it is Christ that God see's when He looks at us, he does not see our "old self", it is dead, our sins are forgiven by the love we have received. We offer ourselves as instruments to be used by Him to complete His purpose. We wholeheartedly obey the form of teachings to which we are entrusted because we live by the Holy Spirit and we have our minds set on what the Spirit desires. As long as we live by what the Spirit desires we will wholeheartedly obeying God and accomplish His will in our lives. The more we decrease the more He increases within us. So for those that think they help and do the best they can to help Him hinders His power to work in them because our works hinders his power. (2Corinthians 4v7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.) Read Romans 5 and 2 Corinthians 4. I love everyone with the love Christ gives me for you!
