This devotional today is dedicated to a fellow servant of Christ, Joseph Robards, for His faithful love for our Lord showing in his service.
Good afternoon! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 1v7
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of "obey".
Acts 5v32 We are a witness of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.
Those of us that obey God will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit dwelling in them to guide them and teach them to say no to ungodliness and to live a worthy life being approved workman of God. When we are given the Holy Spirit and believe the truth of who Jesus Christ is for our lives, to truly live means Jesus Christ living in us, we will be able to face all persecution from others and our love will not change for them, we know longer view others from a worldly point of view, we view others from Christ's point of view. We rejoice because we know by the Holy Spirit living in us no one can separate us from the love of God, we may get discouraged but we rejoice because we are never defeated. We know if people are worshiping and doing God's work for their own interest it will come to an end and fail, but we know if we are proclaiming God's love for God and no other reason then we know no one will be able to stop us, they will only find themselves fighting against God. We know we will be blessed because we would be counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name. We will go on proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ day after day, in our churches and from house to house we visit! This is who we are because He is making us this way. His love compels us to do all things because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. (2 Corinthinans 5v14 For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.)( Read Acts 5 and 2 Corinthians 5 and 6) I love everyone with the love Christ gives me for you!
