Good afternoon! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 1v7
We are testing ourselves today with God's definition of "showed". Exodus 15v25 Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet.
For three days the Israelite's did not have water. When they finally found water it was to bitter for them to drink. The first response of the Israelite's was one of doubt, fear and worry in how they were going to quench their thirst. The moment Moses cried out to
God there was a piece of wood that made the water sweet.
Jesus Christ was buried, crucified on a piece of wood and raised in three days to make our lives sweet with more than enough provisions for us so we can share His sweetness with others. Their first response was not to depend on God for Him providing them for all they need out of the love they should have had for Him for their salvation. They argued among themselves and grumbled with complaint until they did not receive the promise land. God told them if they would listen carefully to the voice of the LORD their God and do what is right in His eyes, if they would pay attention to His commands and keep all his decrees, He would not bring on them any of the diseases he brought on the Egyptians, for He is the LORD, that heals them. We were not able to keep His decrees it was to hard for us as it should be, we are not made Holy as He is Holy but thank you Father for loving us enough to send your Son has our sacrifice, so now we can live the sweet and Holy life you intended us to live since time began. Now through His blood we are healed and made Holy and whole not lacking anything because we have faith in you bringing us your Son for our sacrifice of sin. We no longer live under the curse of man, we are made whole through the blood of your Son. We are now your people and you are our God showing us every provision we need through your Son. When you look at us you no longer see our bitterness you see the sweetness of your Son in us. Read Exodus 15
I love everyone with the same love God gives us through His Son Jesus Christ!
