Who are we depending on first in our lives?

This devotion is dedicated to someone I met at church yesterday. A beautiful child of Child of God that does not know her true identity. She does not know our Almighty God and know how we can depend on Him for all things in this life so we can receive our true life and our true image. Rachel this devotion is for you, my new and dear friend in Christ .

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 1v7
We are testing ourselves today with God's definition of depends.
Jeremiah 17v5 This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD.
In our time today we have many "gods" we worship. We have many more resources to depend on then they did in Jeremiah's time. God wants us to depend on Him first but due to our own fault we will lose our inheritance he has planed for us on earth into heaven. When we trust in Him we will see prosperity when it comes, we will be blessed because we will be trusting in the Lord who confidence is in Him. We will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. We will not fear when heat comes, meaning we will not burn inside with fear or anxiety over circumstances in our lives because we know God is our salvation, he is our rock, our fortress, and we will not be shaken. We will stand firm in faith in our Savior to save us through His power and His strength He has given us. We wait patiently through His patience not relying on our own patience that will grow thin and break. We will stand firm in prayer and petitions to our LORD and Savior, and reading His word with never ending faith in Him. We are a tree with leaves that are always green. We have no worries of the cares of this world because we have faith in Him caring for us. We will always bear fruit which adds to our righteousness because our righteousness comes from the LORD not by our efforts, but a gift from God. We know the heart is deceitful above all things and beyond our cure. Our heart will continually tell us lies when we are faced in times of trouble about our own strength in being the one that can save us. It will either tell us we are strong enough in our self. It will tell us we have our own strength to depend on in getting us out of trouble. It may tell us we can always depend on others to help us, or it may tell us we are not worthy enough for God to lift us up and save us. We have created so many idols for ourselves we think we have enough resources on our own to help us out of trouble. Each time we turn from the LORD our peace will decrease and our mind will start being full of anger, pride, doubt and we will be feeling less acceptance of being loved in the right and most perfect way that He can only fulfill. He is the only one that can search our heart and our mind and with the Holy Spirit that guides us we have help to know our mind and our heart if only we are willing to turn to Him for our dependence. Our society has become dependent either on ourselves or others to give us what we need. When we have faith in our LORD and all of his resources we may received help from people that depend on Him too. We may receive help from our own ideas He has given to us that we have not thought of before, we might have doors opening in our lives that come from no where we expected. We may experience some doors closing that need to be closed but we did not have the strength on our own to close them. When we give ourselves totally to the Lord we will know through the Holy Spirit He alone can heal us and He is the only one we will praise. This world is beginning to create it's own "Saints" but to be a true Saint of the Most High God is to be first and foremost trusting and depending only on Him and then you will be like living water bearing His fruit that last for ever. Read Jeremiah 16 and 17. I love everyone with the love the Holy Spirit gives me for you.
Many prayers,
Vicki Gann

There are many people who are following Christ and spending their lives by following Holy book Bible. They have different traditions and festivals which they can celebrate independently. Christians have churches also where they like to spend their time.
