Who owns us?

Good morning!
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of "own".
1 Corinthians 6v19 Do you not know that your body is a temple to the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
How many of us can truly say we are not our own. How many of us can truly say my life is not my own, my spirit is not my own, my hands are not my own, my eyes are not my own, and my heart and my mind are not my own? Most of us stop being His when we face discomfort of our heart being broke, we have to go through or climb a mountain of discomfort. How many of us would rather have praise from the world than praise from God? We would rather stay where we are suffering in our self-pity, having praise from men, and praise from our own accomplishments in our own pride, that will aid us to our death, instead of giving our selves to God. A life where He will be our aid, comfort, and provision into a life He has planned by using us for His purpose. A life of undisturbed peace, comfort, wisdom, and strength. His purpose is to make us into the image of Christ but we stop at our first test and not give Him our total self. We never become His own to be used for His purpose because we do not want to go where He is wanting us to go, we want to be used how we want to be used. How many of us kneel down at the altar when we go to church? We rely on our understanding of Him and our life must make sense to us. He will always take us where we do not want to go, but when we go because He is leading it will all make perfect sense, because it is Him making us shine like stars and it is Him giving us our understanding. (Philippians 2v15 so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like starts in the universe.) We are not shinning like stars for the world to see but for Him to see and for those that are seeking Him will see! If we have to go through a broken heart of losing someone we love or lose a heart of stubbornness when give up ourselves, a mountain of financial troubles, a storm of anger or bitterness from persecution, or pride, then we need to thank God for that broken heart, that huge mountain and that devastating storm, because without them we can not shine like stars. We are His to mold and to make into shining stars and to be used for His making us to be used for His purpose. We may not see the full picture of that purpose but we have faith in what that purpose brings; His glory and praise! If we are not experiencing the life of being His shinning stars because the world still owns us, we take ownership of our self by letting God use us the way we want to be used, or by living our own life and going our own way because it is easier, then does He own us, and the price that was paid for us, has it been paid? Are we being redeemed? Read Corinthians 6 and Philippians 2. I love everyone with the love Christ gives me for you out of Him owning me so He can use me for His purpose of making His love known! I praise Him and give Him all the glory in making me and others who they are!
Many prayers,
Vicki Gann
