Grace and peace to God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of disciplines.
Deuteronomy 8v5 Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.
If we have been given a loving and caring Father on earth then we know He disciplines us to bring out the best in us, so we would know right from wrong and depend on His teaching us how we should conduct ourselves in this world, before we are old enough to depend on the Holy Spirit to guide us. Discipline should always be a friend to us, it always challenges us to better ourselves. It should not matter how hard it may seam at the time, through disciplining ourselves we should always rise above the place we were. We can discipline ourselves and accomplish many things ourselves but when it is God disciplining you, you will be taken to a place where you could never imagine. When you observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and revering Him, you know He is bringing you into a life that glorifies His power in who He is. Our only command through God now is to have faith in Jesus Christ in who He is making us through the Holy Spirit. We have to come to a place where we believe why He was crucified and believe we needed to be saved for Him to save us, Jesus Christ becomes Lord of our lives. We have to come to a place in our lives that being saved is just the beginning to finding our true self. Our true self is found and completed in the love relationship He gives us. When we have been disciplined into knowing our true God and Savior we will begin to know His love and cherish His discipline. When we are complete in trusting our Savior and experience this new land we live in by our new life starting, with all of its gifts and blessings. We have to always remember where our provisions for this life come from, this is the fear of the Lord we posses, never forgetting He is our provider. Our new ideas, our new wisdom in finding a new job, getting promoted, and many resources developing is through our faith in God providing them. Faith in finding riches and gifts that are in Jesus Christ brings us riches in life, more than we could ever imagine. While we are disciplined we are beginning to have more and more faith in Him. Each time we are disciplined we have a more revelation of who He is and the love He has for us. We will depend more on Him arranging our circumstances, and our faith has come to a place where we know He will do it. We should not loose heart while we are being disciplined, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, our author and perfecter of our faith. He endured all things for us so we would not grow weary and loose heart ourselves, because He cares for us. We should endure hardships as discipline because He loves us enough to discipline us. We are no longer coming to a God that can not be touched, because through Jesus Christ we have a new promise because His blood speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. Because when we are disciplined by God we have His strength to gain His wisdom through all hardships because we know without holiness from Jesus Christ, by the gift of the Holy Spirit no one will see the Lord. As Jesus Christ went through and endured the cross for the joy that was set before Him we to can endure our discipline for the joy set before us, to become true children of God and live the life God has planned for us by living with Him on earth as well as in Heaven, this is our purpose. Through our hardships that He uses as discipline, we may know His love and power that surpasses all human understanding.( Read Deuteronomy 8 and Hebrews 12) I love everyone with the love and power God gives me for you through Jesus Christ our God and Savior.
