Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of favoritism.
Acts 10v34 Then Peter began to speak: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism
In the early church the Gentiles who wanted to be included were not because they were told the gospel was not for them. Peter needed a revelation from God because it was the time God revealed that the gospel of Christ was to be told to all men. The Holy Spirit tells us that we are to have no hesitation in helping any person no matter who they are, we are all children of God created by Him and we want everyone to be born of Him. Some of us find ourselves showing favoritism to all kinds of people. We call all kind of people unclean because they are not up to our standards of people we want to be seen with. The Jews thought like this against the gentiles. We often do not embrace the poor, the widows, oppressed, brokenhearted and the lost. We do not have time to devote ourselves to God if we do not have time to devote ourselves to those in need for any reason. We are too busy keeping up our lives instead of embracing our true lives He is wanting so much to give all of us. Our devotion to others by not seeing favoritism comes from the love we have for God. That is the only reason it was revealed to Peter because it was because of who Peter was in his relationship to the Father, is why He received the revelation from God. If we love God and have faith in His grace we have received then we will get revelations showing us we are not to show favoritism through the Holy Spirit. What we thought at one time will be gone and an new way of thinking will come in our minds to live and make a home for Himself, the Holy Spirit of truth. We will no longer show favoritism for any man or women. God will love every man and woman through us and we will want all to know His love, just as Peter received His revelation, we will too. God loves all of us the same it is us that love Him and need Him differently.( Acts 10v35 but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right) Read Acts 10 and 11.\
