Are we trusting in deceptive words becasue we are living a deceptive life?

Good morning! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of deceptive.
Jeremiah 7v4 Do not trust in deceptive words and say, "This is the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD!
This message as a lot of words that are small but their meaning should be noticed. He uses the word really, when God says, "If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, that means for us to believe in Jesus Christ and His grace for us so we will follow Him and not rely on ourselves. We deny ourselves so He can come and live and work through us. His grace is sufficient enough for us to receive all we need in this life through the Holy Spirit of truth. Then is the other word God uses that means so much. He says, "Then I will let you live in this place. For us if we put our faith in Jesus Christ being Lord of our lives we will be able to live the life God intended us to live now and for eternity. The other word God uses here for us to continue learning from Him is the word but. He says, "But look, you are trusting in deceptive words that are worthless." We still use words like, "Follow other gods" and let the destroyer steal away our love by deceiving words and behaviors and continue to stand before Him in His house, which bears his name, and say, "We are safe"-safe to do all these detestable things? Has His house that bears His name become a den of robbers to us? Have we forgotten that He is watching! We have become prideful, self-interest has taken over our hearts in pleasing ourselves before pleasing God our Father. We dress the wound of others as through it were not serious. Peace, Peace we call out when there is no peace. (Jeremiah 8v11 They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. "Peace, peace," they say when there is no peace.) We are falling away from Grace and we are being deceived. We are suffering from lives we do not need to suffer from and we live as though we are not aware of it. We worry, we are prideful in our own self-seeking interest, we are unhealthy physically and mentally. Where is His healing, where is His joy, peace, and comfort? Has the truth of our Lord and Savior vanished from our lips. As always God says the same thing, "Obey, me and do everything I command you, and you will be my people, and I will be your God, then I will fulfill the oath I swore to your forefathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey-the land you posses today." Thank God for His Son because we could not be all that He wants to be, it took His Son being our sacrifice and taking our sins upon Himself so we could be the righteousness of God. Having faith in Him is our new and only command. Right now we truly can posses the life God intended for us to have. Today is your day to turn to Him with a new understanding and with new words of truth not deceptive words and receive your salvation or return to Him and rededicate your life to Him. We can obey by truly having faith in our Lord and Savior expressing it self through the true love we have for Him. We need to be expressing words like repentance, forgive me and giving up ourselves so we can receive Him, the Holy Spirit, and not just saying them but truly meaning them. Not with deceptive words that say one thing and our lives showing another.Really wanting to receive His love, faith, joy, peace and really wanting to receive all the gifts He offers us, in His name. Do we really live like this? Do we express words of doubt, by speaking words of sickness, over whelming sorrow and shame and not of His power? Are we proclaiming more what we are doing for Him instead of what He is doing in us? Are we expressing words not showing our forgiveness and humility we proclaim by our pride and our anger revealing something else. Ask the Holy Spirit within you if you really have received all that He is offering you today and everyday or are you being deceived by words and behaviors that are not true to who you truly are? Read Jeremiah 7 and 8. I truly love everyone with God's true love He has given me for you! Praise and glory comes from the love we have for Him for saving us from ourselves that we create, thank you, thank you, thank you for your mercy in allowing me to know the true you so I can know who I am, your child, so I can tell others of your endless gift of love.
Many prayers,
Vicki Gann
