Good afternoon! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of knowledge. Romans 10v2 For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. Going up our path of knowing by receiving knowledge of our Savior He will direct us to testing the spirits of others. It is one of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit called discernment. As we let God work everything in us and crucify our sinful nature His nature will emerge, and then we will become useful to complete His purpose with every good work He gives us! This includes recognizing false prophets which are false Christians. We recognize only because we have become to love God so much we have been given His heart of love and His interest in others, we never will condemn others we only want to give them true knowledge they are missing to be true followers of God's will in their lives.Paul tells us about Him having the gift of discernment or the gift of distinguishing between the spirits. If you have fear, pride, doubt, or looking to please men instead of pleasing God you have not received this gift yet. We like Paul only have one desire for all those that God gives us to help and that is they may be saved. We know they have a passion for God just has Paul says, but we also know their passion is not based on true knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ. We know that they do not have the righteousness that comes from God and we know that they sought to establish their own, because we know they have not submitted to God's righteousness. We know this because we know that Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. Moses describes righteousness that is by the law: the man who does these things lives by them. But the righteousness that is by faith says: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. We live today with Christians trying so desperately with passion for God to be what He wants them to be through their own works and thinking. We can recognize them from lacking in His gifts of the fruit of the Spirit. They are not only missing out on receiving the fruits of the Spirit, (Galatians 5v22 ) which we do not receive by our works but only through faith, they are missing out on eternal life, living for ever!!! Jesus himself says, Many will say to me on that day, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform miracles? Then He will tell them plainly I never knew you. There are many of us today that come to each other in sheep's clothing, thinking we know God, Jesus says by their fruit you will recognize them. The "you" He is speaking to means the ones that He has given the fruit of the Spirit to. They are His true followers that have submitted their self to God and truly have given Him their whole hearts through faith in Jesus Christ being their Lord and Savior. We have been given the true knowledge of knowing our Savior just has Paul was given the same knowledge through the Holy Spirit. Out of the love we have for Him our faith grows and He gets all the praise and glory for giving us the knowledge of who He is through the Holy Spirit of truth. When we submit ourselves to God, It is Him working through us to give everyone the true knowledge of Him. All we do is believe and then we will receive!
