What are we paying attention to?

Good afternoon! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of attention.
Isaiah 28v23 Listen and hear my voice; pay attention and hear what I say.
Only when our attention is on our Lord and Savior is when we are going to here His voice. If we are distracted by other sources from our past, present our future we will loose our hearing connection with our Lord and Savior. This takes training and practice to listen to our Lord from the Holy Spirit. To know and to trust His voice means we have surrendered ourselves to Him from the love we receive from His forgiveness from all of our sins. When we have been touched by the love of God through His salvation on the cross we will know His grace and begin to live it out each day by faith in His training and listening to Him and Him alone; this takes perseverance. (James 1v4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything)The peace we receive will confirm we are in the right place with our relationship with Him by our reactions to relationships and circumstances in our lives. We will know His voice and we will know His instructions and we know He will always be faithful in leading us the right way. Many will say, "God gives us a mind to use." Yes He does and it works best with His way of thinking and by His instructions. We will be our utmost for His highest when we rely on Him giving us our thinking. He will always communicate what we are to do next whether it is wait and be patient, or He gives us ideas and abilities to complete what ever task He puts in front of us, we will know His voice. Our new way of thinking and our new disposition comes from Him and we give Him all the glory and the praise. We will be blessed if we acknowledge Him giving us our ideas along with His patience. If He taught the farmers how to plant He also will teach us all things with new ideas and abilities. When we acknowledge Him in all our ways He will make our paths straight, and when we commit everything to Him, our plans will succeed. Pay attention always to the Lord and He will open up your mind to places and things you do not know. He is wonderful in counsel and magnificent in wisdom. Your attention should always be on His way of thinking and His way of doing things, and then you will always here His voice. (John 10v4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know His voice. v5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice.) The reason the sheep do not recognize a strangers voice and run away from Him is because their attention is on their Shepard, and the Shepard's attention is on His sheep, they are one counting on each other for their relationship. We are His sheep showing a life of faith in our Shepard and that is why we can hear His voice. Our Sheppard is Jesus Christ and our attention is always on Him if we are to follow Jesus and only here his voice. If you see yourself paying attention to anything else going on around you, before you pay attention to the Lord and His voice, back up to where you did listen and your heart was right with Him and reestablish your relationship. Once you reestablish your relationship with Him you can once again pay attention to only His voice. He will never leave you if you do not leave Him.( Read Isaiah 28 and John 10) I love everyone with the love God gives me for you because I will always pay attention to my God and Savior's voice, we are His sheep following one Shepard!
Many prayers,
Vicki Gann
