Does our faith rest or stand on God's power or on men's wisdom?

Good afternoon! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of rest.
1 Corinthians 2v5 so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.
We often see some of us today base what we know on man's wisdom of the world in how it operates, the way we have been taught in the past by someone else, and on the intelligent minds of scholars and eloquent speakers of the world. We often think something sounds good and we rest in that until it becomes our way of thinking. The saying, "You can't teach a old dog new tricks," comes to mind and another of our favorites we use when we can not be or do what God is asking of us is, "It is easier said than done". If you look at these from the power of God and not from the wisdom of your natural eyes you can see God can teach anyone what He wants as long as the dog is willing to learn! (Matthew 23v37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.) The other saying that has become a good excuse for us when we are looking at it through our natural wisdom, it is always going to be easier for us to say it than it is for us to do or be what He wants us to be. We can never do or be, what He wants us to be, but He can. If we are resting in faith in our own abilities and our own way of thinking to accomplish anything He requires of us we will always fall short. If we are not resting or standing in faith in His power our minds will go every where accept where they are suppose to rest. God does not force us, He leads us through the Holy Spirit freely given us out of faith and love we have for Him. His gifts given to us we recognize through the Holy Spirit. If we look at this from God's power we see with man nothing is possible, but with God all things are possible. Paul knew God by the gift of His wisdom given to Him through the Holy Spirit, the power of God. That is why He could do all that God required of Him because His faith was always rested and stood on God's power given to Him and not on his human or natural wisdom. No one in the world knows God and His secret wisdom but God alone. His wisdom is given to us as a gift so we can know Him who is truth and reveal to all through the Spirit of God who He is. You can read your Bible all day long for a hundred years and never receive God's wisdom if you do not deny your own wisdom and the wisdom of the world. You have to rest in faith in His power giving you His wisdom. The Holy Spirit is given to us so we can understand what God has freely given us so we can share His incredible gifts with others. When we have been given the mind of Christ no one will be able to instruct us in a new way of thinking, because our faith rest and stand on His power given to us. The Holy Spirit within us makes us aware and judges all things around us. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God, so if our faith is resting or standing firm in human wisdom and not on God's power we are missing out on the deep things of God and His gift of wisdom. God wants us to rest in His power so we can receive all that He is freely wanting to give us of Himself! (Read 1 Corinthians 2 and Matthew 19)
