Good morning! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of pleased.
Luke 3v22 and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.
When we look at this statement it tells us why God is pleased with us. It tells us that God loves every son He has created by it only tells us He is only pleased with the Son, Jesus Christ. We have to realize that God loves everyone but He is not pleased with everyone. He is still upset with us when we sin, when go other ways besides the way of Christ, when we do not receive the Holy Spirit He still is angry and disappointed in us because we still do not understand who He truly is in how much He loves us. It robs Him of His glory in who He is when we do not receive the Holy Spirit, He is not pleased with us because we do not have faith in Him being all of who He is, our one and only Savior that gives us all we need to have true life here and eternal life forever, so we can praise Him in who He is in our lives. We are missing out on all the life giving blessings from being saved from a fallen world. The fallen world is still fallen but we do not have to suffer from it when we have received our protection from it through the Holy Spirit. His power gives us life to our mortal bodies, His life heals our body, mind, soul and spirit! We are His children by Faith in His power saving us and making us whole! By faith we know Him and talk to Him and He answers us. (John 4v10 Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.") We may suffer from trials and tribulations but they are given to us to increase our faith through perseverance to be overcomers! We may have trouble in this world, but remember Jesus said, "Be of good cheer I have overcome the world!" Faith in receiving all of who He is in us, gives us our true lives. By faith in His love He has shown us through sacrificing His one and only Son is the only thing that will please God, because only then will we deny our power and receive His power to accomplish all He wants in us for the use of His purpose. He is Lord of and over our lives! He will always be pleased with us only because He will always be pleased with Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ denied His human nature and had faith in God through the love He had for Him that He would provide Him with everything through His power to complete His purpose. He received His power in Him to accomplish all that His Father wanted Him too. He was His Son and with Him He was pleased. Since His death we too have a baptism of the Holy Spirit so our Father can look down at us and say, this is my Son or daughter and I am well pleased because He is making us in the image of our creator, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! Today can we say my Father is well pleased with me because I do what pleases Him? Have we received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in bodily form? I love everyone through all the love God gives me for you! Read Luke 3 and 4 and John 4.
