Good morning! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of practice.
Ezekiel 33v31 My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to listen to your words, but they do not put them into practice.
At some point if we are true Christians there is going to be a time that we listen to God because we have made Him Lord over our lives so we read His Holy true Bible and practice His words. Most Christians today are becoming like the Israelites not true followers of our true shepherd. Wherever we go, true Christians should be speaking the message of God. We are all prophets through Jesus Christ and all a member of a royal priesthood. God gave us Jesus Christ as a gift offering through His sacrifice, if we believe in Him we all will receive the Holy Spirit, the same Holy Spirit that was in Him makes us true followers that practice His words, but are we practicing His words? Jesus Christ and His image is who we all should be practicing to follow until He becomes our natural way to follow, we should be practicing dying to our sinful nature everyday. When we have been reborn we should be reading God's word and practicing it in our lives so much that His life has become so natural to us that we living it. At our workplace, in our families, in our government, people should be saying, "Come and hear the message that has comes from the LORD." Come and hear my Mother, come and hear my Father, Come and hear my sister and brother, they all speak the word of God. Come and hear my boss, come and hear my doctor, come and hear my bank teller, come and hear my president, come and here my housekeeper, and my friend, they all speak the word of God because they practice it!!! Look at their lives they are followers of Jesus Christ! They are not people that express devotion for God and in their hearts they are greedy for unjust gain. Are we becoming people that here empty words, sing empty songs, play empty instruments? Are we becoming nothing more than one who sings songs with a beautiful voice and plays an instrument well because we do not put them into practice? Are we becoming devoted to relying on ourselves to be His work, His teachers and His watchmen. Jesus Christ told us himself, practicing His words through faith in Him is what makes us His brothers and sisters. ( Luke 8v21 He replied, "My mothers and brothers are those who hear God's word and put it into practice.)" If we are practicing anything other than practicing putting His words into our daily activities, or daily jobs, our daily family lives, our daily relationships and circumstances then how are we showing we have faith in Him to be His brothers and sisters experiencing all of what He wants to give us? Read Ezekiel 33, 34 and Luke 8. I love everyone!
