Good morning! Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.
Today we are testing ourselves with God definition of two words, defending and confirming the gospel.
Philippians 1v7 It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God's grace with me.
As we all grow in the fullness of God being manifested in us we will be either defending the gospel or confirming the Gospel in us. We will be like Christ was because of the Holy Spirit of truth given to us, we will be walking the walk and talking the talk, the same walk and talk that Jesus walked and talked. Through the Holy Spirit we will have been given God's judgement about all things, not rely on our own judgement and understanding. We will always be, without being conscious of it, confirming and glorify His presence in us. Each relationship and circumstance brought to us we will either be defending or confirming His presence in us. We will have the fullness of Him being evident in our lives through our words, deeds, shown in each relationship and circumstance He brings us. They are being led to us for His presence within us to be confirmed or defended. He will be in charge of who He is making us through His purpose given to each of us in making Him known. First we will be the person Jesus is describing on the Sermon on the Mount. Our spirit will be poor, and we will be blessed by His Holy Spirit. We can not make our own Spirit's poor it is His presence that makes our spirit yield to His. We know it is the Holy Spirit that we are feeding that makes our spirit poor because we know He is guiding us and leading us to who we are suppose to be. Our spirit has become poor and yielding to the Holy Spirit changing us and working in us. We thirst and hunger for righteousness because He hungers and thirst for His righteousness. We can not be righteous, it will turn into pride in who we are making ourselves to be. It will be through our own flesh. We can not be confirming and defending the gospel of Jesus Christ without the Holy Spirit doing His work in us, without us surrendering ourselves to Him. Only through the Holy Spirit can He deliver us from the evil that we are committing and separate the sin from the person. Only through the Holy Spirit can we give to others without hesitation, we will be giving even if we are being taken advantaged of. Only through the Holy Spirit can we love our enemies and pray for the ones that persecute us. Only through the Holy Spirit can we give and not make it a purpose for us to be glorified but for Him to be, by keeping what we do only known by those we are helping. Only through the Holy Spirit can we pray continually to our Father in private so we will know how to pray in a crowd. He will not use us to confirm and defend the gospel if it is not the Holy Spirit doing it. We are His light of the world glowing, not our own light. We will be filling the law because He will be filling it through us. Only through faith in Jesus Christ being our Lord and Savior can we be the righteous sons and daughters God wants us to be by the gift of the Holy Spirit given to us. Only then will He see His son or His daughter, only then can we be made in His image. If we are bitter, anxious, worry, love other things before Him, jealous, angry, easily distracted, annoyed, hardhearted, dislike others,self-reliant, impatient, prideful, or resentful, than these are not the fruit of the Spirit God has given you. Whatever we may think we are doing for Him it will not be glorified by Him and we will not be changed along with others. Repent and turn to Jesus Christ and He will guide you to the love He has for you, so you can be given the Holy Spirit to confirm and defend the gospel as He and Paul did. He then He will use you to change people's lives after He has done His work in you, for all the right reasons, through the fruit of His Holy Spirit that is within you, so they too will grow and learn His love. Then you can share in His fullness together, defending and confirming His presence in you! It is only through the Holy Spirit and the fullness of Him that we can truly grow, and we will always be confirming and defending the gospel, because it will be Him doing it! For His good pleasure we are made! I love everyone with the love Christ gives me for you! Read Matthew 5 and 6 and Philippians 1 and 2.
