Good morning! Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of first.
1 John 4v19 We love because he first loved us.
If you find yourself not loving others like Christ loved others than you need to go back to the cross and receive the love He has for you. When we have accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior in our hearts than He showers us with His love of forgiveness and our new life begins. If we have not given our lives to Him then we will not receive His loving forgiveness and be able to love everyone in the most perfect way, because He will be loving others through us by the promise of the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit loving others through us because He is the only one that truly knows how to love in the right way. If there is resentment, jealousy, anger or any other negative spirits dwelling in you then you do not know the love of God. This is hard for some of us to swallow because we create God to be our own personal God and live by some form of Godliness but it is not through the true first love we are suppose to have through the forgiveness of our sins. All bitterness, all anger, all guilt, all shame, all pride, all worry, all doubt goes away when you give your life to Him. It depends on you how much you want to give Him before you experience all of His power of love in you. Jesus Christ searches our hearts and our minds, he knows us better than we know ourselves. He has already given us everything and done everything for us, we have yet to receive what He has for us because of what we are not willing to give up or unlearn. We know of His love and His power but most of us are not letting Him live through us so we can live out His power and love in our lives. We are tested every day with each relationship and circumstance in our lives to know in ourselves if we have received what He desperately wants to give each of us. He will always be our first love if we are going to be saved into living out His love in our lives. Are we? Are we living out His love? Are we sharing that love through our words and our deeds? Is He sharing His love through our words and our deeds because of the Holy Spirit working out His love through our bodies. Has His love cleaned out our insides so what comes outside comes across clean and pure with His truth? Are we gentle when we need to be gentle and bold when we need to be bold. Are we truly using His discernment and not relying on our own? Does things that matter to Him matter to us? Can we easily be moved from His love or do we stand firm in it always so He can be the one that holds us firm and gives us our boldness with His confidence. We often, after we have given our lives to Him, forsake our first love and we are pulled away from Him by the world and everything in it. We let the world over power His love in us, because we do not continue to feed it by continuing to have faith in our love relationship with God before all other relationships and circumstances. Sin is crouching at our door and we start answering it. When we remain in God's love will not not continue to sin. Repent and do the things you did at first when you first felt His love, always remember how far He has brought you, if He has not brought you then go back to the cross and receive His love, His forgiveness and His salvation and begin your first true love relationship. (Revelation 2v4 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. v5 Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. )We carry out His commands because He saved us and showered us with His love that goes beyond all understanding, how can we not give up all we have because of what He did for us, this is how we know we are born from the love of God and are His children. We give our life to Him out of love for Him because He loved us and saved us! If you have not given your life to Christ first at the cross of His love, then God has not saved your life! I love everyone with the love Christ give me for you! (Read 1 John 4 and 5 and Revelation 2 and 3)
