Good morning! Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of one.
John 17v21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
Through Jesus's prayers He knew God and communicated to God in a way only a Son should communicate with His Father, with confidence in His guidance and Him answering all of His prayers. The purpose of God is not to answer our prayers it is to create Him in us and us in Him, to discern right from wrong and receive the mind of God and become one with the Son so we can become one with the Father. Jesus prayed this prayer so we who believe know this prayer is being answered through us. If we are not one with Jesus Christ then we are not one with the Father. Our own actions and words will reveal who we truly are when we are faced going through something we do not want to go through, or to be used to be the person He has asked us to be for His purpose. The things we go through either are making us ill-tempered, or saints; it depends entirely upon the relationship we are to God. When we are being made into Saints we will not be cynical, bitter or prideful, wanting to get our own way. We will be humble, loving and caring regardless how the other person responds to Him within us or what ever the circumstance is around us. He will always be showing His attitude and His disposition through us; trusting in the one we are one with no matter what is going on around us. Jesus prayed this prayer for all believers; that we may become one as He is one with the Father. If we truly believe in Jesus Christ being sent by the Father to save us, we will become one with the Father has Jesus Christ was, we will be the answer to Jesus' prayer because He was one with the Father. Are you helping God to answer His prayer or do you have another plan for our life? Read John 17.
