Good afternoon! Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance. Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of closed.
Acts 28v27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
There is always going to be some of us that go through life and do not here Christ in our hearts and realize the love He has for us. It may take some of us a lot of suffering and trials to come to the place where we understand with our hearts. Some of us find Him through our guilt and shame from our sins and when we do finally realize the love He has for us our guilt and shame is gone and He is there showering us with the love we have been seeking all of our lives through His forgiveness. Some of us hear the message over and over again and never truly understand it out of our pride, our traditional upbringing, our unworthiness of not accepting we are not good enough to die for, or because we cling to the basic principles of the world and never go beyond them. If we have been raised in a certain way it is hard to clear the wax of traditions, the dullness of our ears from pride in our own accomplishments and receive the understanding of the cross that the Holy Spirit can only give us. If we do open our hearts to believe in Him because we accept our brokenness and our sins, and ask for His forgiveness and accept Him as our sacrifice, we will receive His healing! Our new life of making Him LORD of our lives with a new and planned purpose He gives us, will start and will carry us into Heaven, if we do not give up on receiving His love no matter what happens, He will always be there. For us to remain in Him we first have to be in Him. Some of us never get to Him in order to remain in Him because of our waxed hearts, and dull ears. The life He gives us will be a life He planned for us before time began, our hearts will know by His love and peace we receive from Him. Our faith in Him will be increasing within us, each relationship and circumstance we face. He will ask us each day to give up more of ourselves and it may be something we do not want to give up, but the lack of peace we receive from our hearts being pricked by Him, we will know it is something we must do or give up. If we do not give up something He is asking us too, we will miss out on our true journey. Our new hearts we receive from the Holy Spirit is our guide, without the Holy Spirit we will never hear, see or have the understanding of His heart because the Holy Spirit gives us His heart that renews our mind. ( Galatians 2v20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I , but Christ liveth in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.)The Jews did not want to give up what they believed for thousands of years and accept the new covenant of grace by faith. We too go our own way and do not accept it, and miss out on our life path that God has already made ready for us. If you find yourself not hearing because you do not have the love that goes beyond human understanding, or you have not experienced the endless joy or do not desire any of these gifts look at what is keeping you from hearing, seeing and understanding the love Jesus gave us from the Cross. Read Acts 28 and Galatians 2 I love everyone with the love God gives me for you!
