Good morning! Grace and peace to you in abundance from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of take.
Philippians 3v12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
There are some of us that are starting out knowing what has taken hold of us. We do not understand the drawing of God's love to himself when before we were not drawn to anything but accomplishing what we thought God was in our own mind. When we love God through our own flesh it is not the love He has given us. Our flesh counts for nothing, it is through Faith in Jesus Christ that we have the heart to love God, through His sacrifice for us on the Cross that we know the love of God because we were forgiven for unspeakable things in God's sight. We know what ever we thought before was a profit to God is now a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord, for whose sake we have lost all things. Meaning all else in life is rubbish compared to the love of Christ and knowing Him. His love is a love that drives us to finish and complete all that our Father in Heaven has ask of us, without any complaining on our part. We always forget what is behind us wanting to hold us down and we press on always remembering the hold of His love He has on us through the seal of His Spirit He has given us. The new person gives us the prize for which we strive for, that is the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus. This is why we fill up with tears for those that do not know His love that surpasses all understanding. We plead with others to be united in mind and Spirit and we know at some point some of us may think differently, that too God will make clear to them. We notice those who live according to the pattern we live by so we can be united with them in His truth and His glory. We also learn to be content in all circumstances because the love of Christ has taken hold of us. We keep pressing to take hold of it no matter what plans He has for us we belong to Him and where He puts us is where we are suppose to be, because His love never fails us. His love always gives us strength to endure what ever is ahead. His love is what we take because it is His love that He has freely given us at the cross, we are forgiven for our Sins, and been made new, how can we not take hold of it? Read Philippians 3 and 4. I love you with the love God gives me for you!
