Grace and peace to you in abundance from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of "offer".
Romans 12v1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship.
If we are offering ourselves to God in view of His mercy, we will be offering ourselves as Christ Jesus because it is through His mercy and love for us that we were saved and forgiven for our sin through the sacrifice made by Christ. If from Him and through him and to him are all things then the only thing we can do is give ourselves to Him to be used for His purpose because through Him all things were made and have their being. He knows what is best for us so when we do offer ourselves to Him what we receive from Him is who we are suppose to be for Him to work through. Our will for our lives will be His will because we have given ourselves to Him. We will be who He has made us to be our perfect lives living out His perfect will in them. We will have His perfect gifts living through us, His perfect plan for us, and His perfect future He has made out for us. ( Jeremiah 29v11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.) We may not think it is the perfect future for us because it is not what we would choose for ourselves, but through His divine wisdom she is always been proven right. We begin receiving the Holy Spirit by faith and receive all the gifts He has for us to be used according to His will for our lives. We who are in Christ Jesus and have surrendered ourselves to Him will grow each day in faith and will be used each day according to his grace given to us. Each day we offer more of ourselves the more grace we will receive. (Romans 12v6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith) We are who we are because we have offered ourselves to Him in faith, He is our Lord and because we have offered ourselves we receive grace and it is by His grace we are who we are, His love and mercy has changed us because we are his humble servants offering ourselves to Him daily. (1 Corinthians 15v10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect.) His grace should have a huge effect on us all when we have offered ourselves to Him at the cross, by His mercy shown to us for forgiving our sins. (Proverbs 3v34 He mocks proud mockers but gives grace to the humble) Do not keep yourself for yourself for the god of this world to use, so the devil will have a chance to deceive you through pride, fear, or doubt. Offer yourself to God through faith in Jesus Christ and receive His grace for His use through you, so your will, will become His will for your life, His perfect and pleasing will He has created for you! Read Romans 12 and 1 Corinthians 15 and Proverbs 3. I love you with all the love God gives me for you!
