Who are we listening to?

Good afternoon! Grace and peace to you in abundance from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of listen.
John 10v27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
We go through life listening to all kinds of sayings that are good, special, and kind. We may hear someone say something that sounds so wise and want to write it down and make it something we live by. We love it because it matches our own way of thinking. We believe in it because it matches our own determination, our love, our devotion to doing everything right and good. It sounds responsible in our right way of thinking and doing of making ourselves the person God wants us to be. We go through life living by it everyday but we notice there is no change within us. We are still prideful, snapping at everyone, jealous of what people have, and comparing ourselves with others. We still are struggling with wanting to be that person God has called us to be, trying hard to live up to all the things people say we are suppose to be doing, how we should be talking, and how we should be caring for people. We have become tired and weary trying so hard to accomplish what God has asked of us. We ask ourselves continually," Where is the peace, the patience, the joy, and the contentment I am suppose to have in all my circumstances?" Where is the joy I am suppose to be feeling when trials and troubles come? Why is my heart still troubled about all the cares I have in this world? It is because we have become our own workman. We have become our own voice, our own building,  and our own field of right doing. We have listend to people tell us so much about right doing we do not know about right believing. We have become workman for Him having faith in ourselves making us who we are suppose to be, over having faith in our Savior being our shepherd and listening only to his voice. The devil has deceived us in thinking we are going the right way when all along we have been listening to the wrong voice. We have to remember we live by faith not by works. This is why He listens to our voice, because we have faith in Him as our shepherd. We are his sheep not our own sheep making our own green pastures to live in. When we have faith in Him being our Lord and Savior He saves us from sin by the forgiveness through the grace we receive, it is a gift of His mercy and love for us, not based on what we do. Our hope is in Him because He has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit He has given us!! (Romans 5v1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand) It is by faith in Him making us who we are by His love guiding us, comforting us and giving us all we need, because He is perfect. We can never be faithful loving Him the way we should. We are unspiritual He is our life giving Spirit. We have faith in Him making us His brothers and His sisters doing our Fathers will not our own! Thank you Jesus for giving our souls rest in you, we know we will never be who God created us to be without your love guiding us each and everyday so your love can come through us! We only know to listen to your voice and you know who we are!!! Read John 10 and Romans 5. I give grace to everyone because He gave grace to me!
