Good afternoon! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Today we are testing ourselves with God's definitions of death and life.
2 Corinthians 4v10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus , so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
It depends on us on how much we die for Him if He is alive in us. Those of us that are always carrying around in us his death will always be carrying around his life. God has already given all of himself to us on the cross, it is us that keep all of his gifts and power from working through us for our lives and all other lives. Everything we do is for his sake not ours, so his life can be seen through us not our selves. We will be hard pressed on every side to give up ourselves so He can work through us. We maybe perplexed but not in despair. If our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. We know the god of this age has blinded their eyes so they cannot see the light of grace and their salvation. It is God that makes his light shine in our hearts through the Holy Spirit and gives us the light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. We know it is not by our power because we die everyday in human wisdom, in our own patience, in our own joy, in our own love, in our own anger, in our own pride, and in our own goodness. We are being renewed day by day for the sake of Christ so his light can shine through us for the benefit of others, so that grace may reach more and more people, and it may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. We believe therefore we speak in the same spirit of faith, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with everyone else that believes in his presence. We fix our eyes on what is unseen not what is seen, what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. If we are carrying around in our bodies the death of Jesus we will be hard pressed by what we have to give up of ourselves but not crushed, we will be perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not abandoned, struck down, but not destroyed. We will be experiencing all these things because he uses us in darkness. His life will shine through us and some will be saved by His grace. If we are not dying and being hard-pressed or perplexed, his light is not shining through us because we are not giving up anything, we are not being renewed daily, we are not dying within for Him, so He can live through us for others. Read 2 Corinthians 4. I love you with all the love God gives me for you!
