Good morning! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of known.
1 Thessalonians 1v8 The Lord's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia-your faith in God has become known everywhere.
Everywhere for us is where ever we are placed. Everyone that is around us, should know the difference in us by our faith growing in God. Everyone that knew us before should be saying how we have turned to God from idols, how we are now serving God by letting Him work through us, how we are now waiting for his Son from Heaven, and how we know now we are rescued from the coming wrath. We know and have faith in Him because the gospel came to us not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction that is why we are changed, it is by faith in God that we have received the Holy Spirit. It is through the Holy Spirit that we appeal to everyone to receive the gospel of God. Our appeal does not spring from error or impure motives nor are we trying to trick anyone. On the contrary, when we speak, we speak as men or women approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. Our motives are not springing from a desire to please men but God only, because we know he tests our hearts in how we react to our relationships and circumstances in our lives. We know this because through the Holy Spirit what he has freely given us. (Ephesians 1v6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.) We know the new person in us, we know his voice, we are one with Him; this is our eternal life. (John 17v3 Now this is eternal life; That they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.) We live only to bring God glory completing the work He gives us because He is working through us to accomplish His purpose. We know everything we have has been given to us by Him. This is why our faith in God is starting to be known everywhere because it is the power of God working through us, not the power of men. Read 1 Thessalonians 1 and 2 and John 17. I love everyone with the love God gives me for you!
