Good afternoon! Peace and love to you from our Heavenly Father our Lord and our Savior Jesus Christ. Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of get.
John 20v15 "Woman," he said, "why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for? Thinking he was the gardener, she said, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him."
I love that God used a women of no education, no "right way" up bringing to be the first to lay eyes upon him when he came from the empty tomb. A women that had no prier education of scripture knowing of his coming, a women that had seven demons in her, that was full of mental sickness as well as physical sickness. The one and only thing is did have was a love for Him healing her and forgiving her that led to all the other understanding of why He came through Him giving all she needed by the gift of the Holy Spirit due to the faith she had in Him being everything she needed. A perfect relationship we all can have without the "religion", without the opinions of others, without the world and our own wisdom, without the evil that we allow to breach the faith in His love He has given us. Although Mary loved Him at this time and was seeking him she did not know Him as closely has He knew she wanted. He knew she had not received the love He truly had for her yet through the Holy Spirit but she truly did have enough faith in Him to seek Him and here him when he called out her name. We often think we can get to him by our own efforts has she did. We often see Him as someone else when he is standing right in front of us because we put our own image of him in our mind and overlook who He really is by not having faith in Him alone. The only way we can truly know Him is through faith. When we have faith only in Him we truly hear only his voice when he calls us by name. Then we will all say when he calls, Rabboni! I see that it is you, you are my teacher and above all others that I may see and hear. We may not know where He is and think we can get to him by our own strength of doing what is right, making ourselves strong, and pulling ourselves out of the pit. Maybe if we read more of the Bible, maybe if we go to church more, maybe if we work harder than anyone in church maybe then we will here Him again or for the first time. Maybe then we will feel His peace again and have hope and faith again or we may never truly have. He had said other words to her but she still did not know who He was. Only when he called her by her name did she know it was Him....Today stop what ever you are thinking in how you can here his voice by your own strength and find him by your own efforts of right doing. Have faith in His voice speaking to you by right believing, listen and you will here Him call out your name and receive all He has for you because He, not like with Mary, has returned to his Father and our Father, and His God is our God! We can hold on to Him, we can remain in Him and His word can dwell in us, guide us through His Spirit. By Faith in Him we can receive His power, His nature, and His promises that He has given us! ( 2 Peter 1v3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness) When he calls us we have faith in His divine power he has given us, a faith to know we have everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him given to us, because He has called us by his own glory and goodness. Therefore we will be eager to make our calling sure because He was eager to make His calling sure and we will be given a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savor because He was given a rich welcome into His Kingdom. Do not try to hear Him call you by your own effort of finding Him! You will never hear him without faith expressing itself through the love you have for Him. Trust Him calling you out of the love you have for Him and you will always here him! Today if you have not heard his voice ask Him to forgive you of your sins as Mary did, ask Him to remove all your guilt and shame you have carried around like Mary carried around in her. You do not have to be Holy, he makes you Holy. He will heal you and you will know His love by your guilt and shame being removed, and lifted off you!! You will here Him call you clearly and you can start your journey of holding on to Him and Him holding on to you, you will have a new life full of His grace because He has given it to you freely because you believed!
Read John 20 and 2 Peter 1!
