Good afternoon! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Today we are testing ourselves with God's definition of received.
John 3v27 To this John replied, "A man can receive only what is given him from heaven." There is only one person that has come to the earth from Heaven, and that is God himself through Jesus Christ our Lord. (John 1v1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God v 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. ) When he came into the world his purpose was already given to Him to die for the world so the world and the sin in the world could be demolished. When we receive Him through faith we receive all He is, God was among us and through his death we receive Him the same Spirit he had within Him is now living and abiding in us. Giving us council, forgiveness, gifts of righteousness, and undisturbed peace. We know Him, we are one in mind and Spirit. We receive His forgiveness and His grace to keep us saying no to ungodliness. We are guilt free, from the fullness of his grace we have all receive one blessing after another. If we are not living like this then have we received God dwelling in us. Are we reborn, have we been redeemed made new? If not then give yourself to Him right now, tell him you are not experiencing all his gifts through faith in His forgiveness, tell Him you are still living with guilt and shame. Tell Him you are not able to save yourself with doubt through endless steps of figuring out why this and why that. Tell Him you have no faith in Him making you into a child of God, ask Him to help you with your unbelief! Tell him you know you must decrease your wants and desires for this life, for Him to increase His wants and desires for your life. Tell Him with a sincere heart you are ready to receive Him in faith as your Lord and Savior. Tell Him you know that He is your Lord. Being Lord of your life means you belong to Him, you are his to decide how your life is lived out, with His plans. Tell him we know He knows us better than we know ourselves, because He created us to fulfill his life he has given us! Tell Him finally that you want to receive all He has for you and you know that He gives continually without limit and you are ready to be His. You will change as quickly as you are truly willing to, by giving up all you have, and your life will follow. He has already done everything for you, all we have to do is receive all He has for us each day walking in faith in Him being our Lord! Read John 1, 2 and 3.
