Good morning! Grace and peace to you in abundance from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. Today we are discussing God's definition of imagination.
Isaiah 26v3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trust in you.
We go through life imagining all kinds of things. We imagine suffering, we imagine where that suffering comes from, we imagine things that are not true enough to make them seam true, and we imagine we are walking with God but we do not have the peace in our hearts that prove it. We imagine trouble overtaking us, we imagine sickness when everyone around us gets sick, we imagine we are going to get cancer when someone in our family as died from cancer and we imagine the weather determines our health and how we feel. We imagine our Doctor knows everything about our health, we imagine what he says even though we are sick, the sickness cannot be over taken by the power of God. We imagine our reality is living in the world and we are a part of it, and we imagine we are only human born never being able to escape the falling world.Today I want you to look at where your mind is taking you, where it is resting above knowing who God is. When our imagination takes us above knowing who God is it will take us all over the place and we will never be receive His peace because His peace comes from a faith that is firm in who He is. We accept Him as our Savior for our salvation but we do not accept Him as our Lord, our master and redeemer. We start believing the world is more powerful then He is. We start speaking more about the knowledge of the world and how powerful it is instead of how powerful He is. Our reality has become a reality that our imaginations have created from our own circumstances and experiences because our minds are not on faith in Jesus Christ being everything we need for this life. We go up and down up and down with our circumstances God has placed in front of us. His hand is lifted high but we do not see it. If we are in Christ Jesus we take captive every thought of our imagination and make it obedient to Christ because our obedience is complete. We have surrendered to Him being our Lord and Master, our trust is strong in Him, he renews our mind because our mind is on Him. (2 Corinthians 10v5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.) God gave us an imagination to go way beyond the cares of this world, the genealogies, human philosophies, the basic principles of this world, our faith in men and ourselves. He gives us a new mind when we have faith in Jesus Christ being not only our Savior but our Lord. Our imagination is being renewed from our faith in Him being our Lord, not my will but His will be done in our lives. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift of grace that renews our mind above the world! When the cares of this world or our service for Him come before Him, we may forget we are not only committed to Him for being our Savior, we are committed to Jesus Christ's view of God, of the world, of sin and of the devil, and this will mean we have fully committed to Him as Lord and we will recognize our imagination is being transformed by the renewing of our mind, because we keep in perfect peace with Him. Read Isaiah 26 and 2 Corinthians 10.
