Are we truly acknowledging Him in all of our ways?

Good morning, grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

This morning I got up praising my Lord in thanks as I do every morning for allowing me to be His reborn child through His one and Holy Son. I was also thankful that my  wonderful husband my God has given me was off from work and we were able to eat breakfast together. It is Saturday morning and my husband loves college football and was able to watch "Game Day". He works many Saturdays so he was excited and thankful to be home and able to watch college football, and I was excited to watch it with him. I love sports and how God reveals his power through their lives.  The college "Game Day" show has many segments about sports, and people that claim their faith. I began asking myself whose faith or what faith were they proclaiming. Faith in people, faith in themselves in their own righteous moral goodness and integrity, faith in their accomplishments, or faith in God. They proclaim several faith based stories about helping one another in sickness, and many struggles in life, but whose faith and where was their faith coming from. They thank people for their courage, faith, and devotion to one another. But not one word is ever praising God, our Father, the God of  Abraham, Issac and Jacob, and acknowledging Him in all of their ways through His One and Holy Son Jesus Christ. Our Father God or His Holy Son was never mentioned. My soul was becoming grieved. What grieves Him grieves me. Isn't He the one that gives us the desires to help the right way, the right truth, and with the right life because He lives through us. Isn't it His gift of faith we receive? Isn't it Him giving us His courage to continue and persevere, isn't Him that give us our integrity and righteousness? Why are  they not giving Him any praise and glory?

Not one time did I hear through these amazing human stories them acknowledging our Father being their Savior through Jesus Christ His Son. I heard people acknowledging "their" faith, faith in others, faith in their accomplishments, and faith in their own works and their own integrity. Some are matching God's wisdom but do not acknowledge Him giving it to them, they are giving themselves the glory. I began to realize how deceiving Satan is by how he uses our human nature to keep us from receiving what our Lord is offering us of Himself. We like being lifted up, we like being noticed as the one making ourselves good with us making our own choices in the world for all to see and giving ourselves the glory and accepting it as something we deserve.

Our moral goodness comes from God and we should acknowledge His wisdom and His ways is why we receive our moral integrity or goodness. He deserves the life He has given us and He deserves all the glory and praise for it.

Proverbs 2v6 For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless.

Today I am asking all of us to listen to ourselves, who are we proclaiming the good news for? Are we proclaiming it for Him, others, or our self? We need to check our  own actions and words and see if Christ is within us, leading us, and are we letting Him have His way in us because if we are, we will be acknowledging Him in all our ways.

How many of us today truly want to acknowledge Him in where our goodness and integrity come from. How many want to acknowledge Him giving us our mind so we can make the right choices through Jesus Christ our Lord. How many of us know we can't make the right choices in life without His Holy Spirit giving us the right choices to make. How many of us know we have to give up all of our rights to ourselves because His right goes beyond our right and good in us. How many of us truly know through Him we can be all of what He wants us to be and that is the utmost highest we can ever be. How many of us truly belong to Him so He gets all the glory and praise forever and ever Amen.

Many of us may see our paths full of stumbles, pits, and many crooked struggles in life. We may think we are going the right way but many are deceived. You may find yourself not acknowledging  Him in all of your ways. You may be one of those that want the glory or do not want to give up something you think is important to you. You maybe compromising His truth and accepting some sins over others, not denying yourself in what you may want in life. You may find that you are seeking the glory and praise for "your" good moral behavior. You may find your life is not about Him it is you getting the glory for yourself making yourself and helping others. You may find your life is making a difference in the world for the world, or for yourself to get the glory but not for God because He gets no glory. Your path and you may not be truly  changing, you do not have His faith, peace and joy in you and through your journey in life.

Psalm 43:4-7 You are my King and my God, who decrees victories for Jacob. Through you we push back our enemies; through your name we trample our foes. I do not trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame.

Today there is a lot of moral good and a lot of faith going around in many circles. Whose good and whose faith it is does not matter to our human nature as long as we are getting the glory but to God it does matter and if He is within us we do not put His fire out by not acknowledging Him in all our ways. He is the one that makes our paths straight, righteous and true to prove who we truly are. IF He is guiding us we will not be wise in our own eyes. If we are living through His Spirit we will acknowledge Him in all of our ways, because we know He gives us our way, our truth to who He is within us and who we are in our lives. We are not wise in our own eyes, we fear not pleasing Him above pleasing the world, ourselves and others.  We know He is the one that brings health to our bodies and nourishment to our bones.

Proverbs 3:5-8 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.

Jesus told us he did not come to help the righteous he came to help the sinner, the lost, and the sick. The ones that need healing need Him and He gives us that need to be healed when we are touched by His Holy nature. We know immediately we all have a poor spirit and nature. So why do we not give Him the glory for giving us our Holy and true nature? We act as if we have received nothing from Him and have gained all we have on our own.

He came to work in and through us to help all people know Him and be saved and drawn to Him. We give Him the praise and the glory of His name, he is the one who saves. He came to proclaim who He was not who we are. He came to save us from this world, ourselves and Satan. He came to proclaim His Holy name through us not for us to proclaim our good, our own righteous acts but His through us. He also said if we have His faith, we would be doing as He did and greater things than Him because He will be working through more people for His glory in making us in the image of His Son with His Father.

Today I am asking all of us to listen to who we are proclaiming the good news for. For Him, others, or our self.. Check your own actions and words and see if Christ is in you, leading you, and if you are willingly letting Him have His way over you as your Lord. If you are you will be acknowledging Him in all your ways and your life will be an outcome of  proving His faith, rejoice in Him, He is keeping your path straight!
