Good morning, grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today and many days before I have grown tired and weary of holding my hands up to Him, although I want to continue, I get tired, but He always sends me people that will hold my hands up for me until the day ends. This is the unity we have in Christ our Lord and Savior. Moses, some of the other prophets, Paul and the other disciples experience this unity and today we are going to talk about what God does when his children get tired and what do we do.
Exodus 18:11 As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelite's were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. v12 When Moses' hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up-one on one side, one on the other- so that his hands remained steady till sunset. v13 So Joshua overcome the Amalekite army with the sword.
As powerful as God was through giving Moses what he needed there is no question God could have given Moses enough strength to keep his arms up and Moses could have stood alone holding them up through God's power, but as you can see here through this message that was not God's plan in giving Moses enough power to stand alone. God wants and has always wanted us to stand together worshiping him with his power in each of us for His purpose.
Many of us today stand alone or with others in glorifying themselves with out glorifying him at all. Some of us glorify him alone, and do not share His presence in others. If we stand alone we will lose our true battle within ourselves because we cannot glorify Him alone, we will get tired and weary just has Moses did.
If we stand alone without Him at all we will not ever win the battle within us. If our hands never go up to glorify Him our hands are going up to glorify something else. In this type of worship and glory of worshiping others, ourselves, and things above him will always lead to destruction, confusion and lack of peace on earth now and for eternity.
Those of us who have totally surrendered our lives each day to our Savior will always be given others that will help us through His power to keep our hands up until sunset each day. This is His glory in who he is through each of those that have given Him all of themselves through out their lives each day. They will always win the battle because it is through His power in each of them that gives them the win, and they will wave their banner high and call it "The Lord is my Banner".
Anytime any evil in us, the world, or through Satan and his evil schemes, puts up a hand against the throne of the Lord, God's power through His Son will lift up the hands of his people through generation to generation and defeat them! He will prove His power and presence in our lives today as He did then. He is our sword. He will always provide what we need in others He sends to help us. They who truly belong to Him will always continue to share in helping each other to hold their hands up through His power and glory from His Holy name! If we are truly His, they will come and we will go!
Has he proven this in your life when you have become weary or tired? Has he sent others to you that proclaim his Holy name above all and prove it by them helping you hold your hands up and when they get tired do you help them continue to hold their hands up? Has he defeated the battle you have faced each day by His power and grace He has given all of His children that belong to Him through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior? Who gets the glory, and who gets the praise? Whose banner are you waving? What is it called? Has he proven to you what He does in the world, and what He has done through you?
His peace and love always
