Are you truly laying your life down for God?

Good day to all, grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Are you truly willing to lay down your life for God?

During Jesus’ last conversation with his disciples He reveals a lot to them about who He was and who they would become for his love, and glory to be shared, and the difference in them from the others in the world.  At the time of this conversation they could not understand all because the Holy Spirit was not dwelling in them to give them understanding, and bring to their memory all He said, and taught them. At the time of this conversation Jesus was living with the disciples but was not living in them because He had not risen yet.

John 14:15 “If you love me, you will obey what I command.  And I will ask the Father and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.

Thomas, called the doubter by many, did not understand yet all Jesus was teaching Him but truly none of the disciples understood. Most had fear and scattered when he was arrested. They all had the wrong image of Him as their Lord and King that He was, and the Kingdom he was revealing.

John 14:10-11 don’t you believe I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? The words I say are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.  Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.

How do we know the Holy Spirit is working in us and through us? What is the evidence of His work? What gives us our belief? Jesus was talking to his disciples about this very subject.   Since Jesus has died, and resurrected how can we know the Spirit’s work, and will we be doing the same things Jesus did through His power as His power is manifested in us, should we be changing daily more into His image, and from what day will we know this change?

Our words will be his and not just our own any longer, they will be his living in us dwelling, and working through us for others, as they worked through Jesus they also will be working through us for those that accept Him, and His gift to benefit from. His words are not empty words they have the power of God’s truth in them by way of the cross through the blood of Jesus.

It will always be amazing to me that God speaks through people, and his word giving us all we need each day as we lay down our lives to Him.  God warns us, keeps us on the right path, rebukes us, corrects us, and comforts us. He picks us up when we stumble, molds us, shapes us, and gives us grace so we do not have to continue living confused and lost. They are not our words, and works they are His.

The Spirit of God that we hear daily through his word deals with our relationships and circumstances we face daily. We can hear the words of Jesus plainly showing us the way to go, and speaking to us through others, and speaking through us for others, for all to benefit from. We are His sheep being saved by our true Shepherd.  His sheep hear his words and know His voice. The question we need to ask ourselves, are we His sheep laying our lives down for Him to lift up?

John 10:14 “I am the good shepherd: I know my sheep and my sheep know me-just as the Father knows me and I know the Father-and I lay down my life for the sheep.

How do we receive this power, and know it is Him doing His work, molding, speaking, walking, and not us on our own or through the power of Satan?

John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

Romans 10:15-17 How can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news! But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord who has believed our message? Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.

God tells us our belief comes from Him through the message! Amen, I can surely prove that through my own life. His love has changed my heart for Him. His words come out of my mouth, his love has given me a new love for his children with his purpose behind it, and His power gave me new gifts and abilities I never knew I had for the building up of His Kingdom. Unexplained miracles he has given me and shown me through his signs, miracles and wonders. My deeds have come through the Spirit of God, and are committed to Him daily to glorify Him in all He has given me that separates me from the world.

He has renewed my mind for His purpose and glory only. A huge miracle of His saving grace is the evidence I live by from the cross, and is manifested in my life as it was in the life of Jesus.

We see faith and grace comes through the message of the cross, and what about love, how does His love come?

John 10:17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life-only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.

We receive through this message God’s love is revealed as we are willingly to lay down our lives for Him, as God love was given to Jesus because He was willing to lay down his life on his own.  Only Christ has been given authority to take up His life again. He also lifts up our life the same way He lifted up His. Like a sheep that is lost and confused wanting to be saved by their One true Shepherd, we lay our lives down for him to lift up. We lay it down by what He reveals to us of himself.

The same way Jesus gave his human self to God, as a lamb, although his human self-had no sin, his Spirit can destroy my sin every day as I surrender to Him as his lamb. As a sheep surrenders when the shepherd picks it up and puts it on its shoulders, we also lay our lives down for Him to pick it up, and carry it on his shoulders forever for eternity.

This is the reason God loved Jesus, He knew He would lay his life down for His Father, He was the Son, and this is the reason God loves us through Jesus.  We are willing to lay our lives at his feet, and He knows it. This does not mean we lay ourselves down for other people in their ways of thinking, and believing. We lay down ourselves for God and His truth only for others through our words and deeds so they can be drawn to Him. He is the light that gets the glory.

As our relationship of laying ourselves down grows in Him  what other miracles will be manifesting in our own lives by His Spirit? As He told Thomas, he tells us “Believe in the evidence of the miracles themselves”.

There should be miracles occurring in your own life as they were revealed through His life. Along with the first disciples we also are His disciples proclaiming His miracles working in us and through us for others that draw people to knowing His truth of healing us spiritually, physically, and emotionally.

There should be unexplained miracles occurring in our own lives. Is His power manifesting in your own life? Jesus said these miracles would be proven if we have faith in Him, and even greater because there is more of Him working in and through others. He also said whatever we ask in His name he will do, because it will be giving glory to the Father.

This requires for us to have all faith in Him giving us all things that complete us within ourselves in relationships we face daily and circumstances through out our lives.  Are we living by our faith in ourselves by what we can see, feel and touch, or is our miracles being revealed by us having only faith in Him by all He gives us?

When our life is over He will call us home and still His power will be revealed through this passage from this life to the next, death will have lost its sting, and through this last miracle in our lives more will be drawn to Him.

What day will all of this evidence be proven in our own lives depends on us laying our lives down for Him? Our Fathers love is given by Jesus laying down His life for us, and we receive that love when we lay down our lives, but our love is proven by working out what He puts in by listening to His commands and letting Him live them out by the power of the Spirit. What He freely has given us of himself comes out for others as He commands, not by our words or deeds but through His power through our words and deeds.

John 14:20 On that day, you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to Him.

Would this person be someone who loves the world, and is a part of it? Would this person be someone who loved God above all people, and things in this world? Would this person be following Jesus or the world?  Would this person be following all of God’s commands by the Spirit of God through all He gives them?

Would this person repent willingly when he or she sin’s because He pricks their heart, so grace would increase enough to keep him or her from continuing to live in it? Would this person know all the schemes of Satan? Would this person be willing to put all the armor of God on them each day to fight the evil spirits and the lies of Satan that destroy what God is freely given us from the cross?

Would this person be asking God things that would further His Kingdom and give Him all the glory, or would this person be loving others as gods, themselves as gods, glorifying the world and it's treasures, and the lies of Satan and those that live in it? Would this person prove their knowledge of Him comes from His truth?

There is plenty of people sharing their love with one another, laying their lives down for one another, living lies, and worshiping treasures of this world, but where is the love of God through Christ that His Christians are supposed to possess? Where is the evidence of them laying down their lives because of His love for them? Where is the evidence of his miracles saving us spiritually, physically, and emotionally? Where is His glory?

I do not see all of His true children laying down their lives for Him as a sheep wanting to be picked up by His love, and by showing their love for him obeying Him through the power of the Spirit and Him receiving all the glory? On that day we put Him above all things by fully laying down our lives for Him from all the love He has shown us first, we will listen and obey Him He will begin giving us all we need in miracles, signs, and wonders to glorify His Father because He knows we will.

This could be that day for you to begin fully laying down your life for Him by all He has given you of himself from the Cross, hold on to Him and never let Him go! Your life will prove you have laid yourself down at the feet of the cross daily, by His faith and love growing in you,and your life will be more than you ever imagined when his peace, hope, grace, faith, and love lifts you up in many ways through all the power of God.

His faith, and love always.
