Have you truly given your life into the Potter's hands?

Have you truly given your life into the Potter's hands?

God uses different parables to describe our relationships with Him, and many today have not received the meaning of the Potter and the clay. There are a lot of other images today walking around that clearly are not being made as Him being the Potter and them being his clay. Their fruit, wisdom, and image reflect they are not, and many are being deceived.

For a piece of pottery to be made there has to be a lump of clay, a wheel, and there has to be a Potter that molds it. The clay is hard pressed on all sides so it becomes a design the potter desires. If the clay is hard it will not mold so a potter has to add water to it, and has it moves on the potter’s wheel the potter presses it and molds it to the shape he wants.

Spiritually speaking in God’s parables we are the clay, and He is the Potter. He is the Potter molding us into the image of His First Holy Son. He has been molding his children in this way since the creation of the world.

Isaiah 45:9 Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker, to him who is but a potsherd among the potsherds on the ground. "Does the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?' Does your work say, 'He has no hands’?"

A potsherd is a pottery fragment, and to God we are nothing but little fragments waiting to be shaped and molded into some design, and if you do not know He is the Potter you will be making yourself into something that he cannot use for his plan and purpose for his new Kingdom.

The clay cannot tell the Potter how it wants to be designed that is up to the Potter, so the clay has to yield to whatever the Potter wants it to be if the clay wants to be what the Potter wants to use for His purpose. If the clay yields then the Potter can design it has He determines, and it will be what it was intended to be, but if the clay does not yield to the Potter it will be of no use to the Potter for his plan and purpose for the building of his Kingdom.

Jeremiah 18:2-6 Go down to the Potters house, and there I will give you a message. So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. Then the word of the Lord came to me: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?”

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.  We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry about in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

This clearly tells us God is molding us by the power of the Holy Spirit into the image of his son, and we are yielding to Him as the Potter and we are His jars of clay. In Christ when we are hard pressed on every side, we are not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down but not destroyed. We have Him and what He gives us of himself surpasses, and delivers us from all we go through. We know Him by what He himself gives us, and we are clay being molded by His hands!

When we feel we are hard pressed on every side by trails and hardships He lightens the pressure by his peace, and we are never crushed.  Because we are perplexed about others at times he gives us joy in Him, and we are not over taken by despair. When we are persecuted at times He blesses us through His Spirit and through his other children, and we are never alone.  We may be struck down but we are never destroyed because we live in him now and always for eternity.  We are continually being made in the image of Christ becoming one with the Father as the Son was, is, and always will be with the Father. We deny our power and live through His power denying ourselves every day as we carry our cross so His life can be revealed in our bodies.

If you feel deep inside as if you are being crushed by the cares of this world, in deep despair, abandoned, and destroyed little by little everyday then you may not be yielding to Him as the clay into the Potters hand. For others they may feel like they are going on the right path but are being deceived and their path will lead them to destruction.

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to destruction.

Many today including "Christians"  are being the potter, and Him the clay as if He is the clay in their hands. Sexual immortality, alcohol, drugs of all kinds, lying, greed, and idol worshipers worshiping many people, themselves, and other gods is more reflected today in the world and among his believers.  Many of his  children do not reflect His holiness, and His redeeming power of grace through the image of Christ, his life, death, and resurrection.

Today I urge all of us to look in the mirror check and see if our image is something we are creating for our own purpose of who we want to be with our own motives, or are we being molded into someone the Potter wants us to be by putting our lives into the Potter hands.  We have His Spirit to live by within ourselves, and His Word that follows His Spirit that testifies if we are giving ourselves to the Potters hands. His Spirit, and His true word will always testify for us if we are reflecting His image and truly putting our lives into his hands, by him molding us and shaping us to His image. Is your image in the mirror reflecting the life, death, and resurrection of Christ through His Spirit?

If you see that the image in the mirror does not reflect, or is not being molded by His Spirit of himself and His Word the good news is you can repent of your sins; He is waiting for you!! Ask Him for forgiveness, tell him you are sorry for trying to be the potter, and you want Him to be the Potter and mold you into the image He wants you to be through Christ so you too can know Him as the Potter and live out His plan for your life as being His true child! He will give you His Spirit to begin molding you, and I urge you to continue to listen to Him through His Word of truth, and your true life can truly begin being molded by the true Potters hands!!

A life being molded by God the true Father and Potter is an amazing life that takes you far past yourself! If this is what you truly desire he will do it! Your new, and true life can begin growing and being shaped until He is finished with you on earth, and you will know with no doubts your beginning into eternity starts now in the Potters hands!
