How long has many of His children been sleep walking?

Revelation 3:1b-2 I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake UP! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of God.

Is the majority of the “church” in America, and in the world sleep walking into death today when it thinks it is alive in Him? Do we need to Wake Up and truly follow Him and His life through His Spirit?

The definition of sleep walking was interesting to me. It is called somnambulism, and it is when an individual walks or does activities while they are unaware they are a sleep. With God and His relationship we can be deceived having a case of sleep walking, thinking we are awake and alive in him but truly we are a sleep and dead spiritually. I think we have been thinking we are fully alive in Him for quite some time as a church majority when we have been dead. God is telling us to Wake UP from our deception!!

Why isn’t the “church” or the majority of God’s body of believers resembling the first church in the New Testament? Why isn’t many of His children being healed spiritually, physically and emotionally? Why isn’t the world looking at His church and wanting to be a part of it, and why does His church look no different than the world that helps themselves?

Are we following His death within ourselves, His resurrection within ourselves, and within ourselves His life? The answer is clearly No, when I look at the majority of his body of believers today. We are not following Him or His Word through the Spirit He can only give. Let us look together and see His proof He has revealed to me.  We truly need to clean out our closets before He will give us our new wedding clothes of white.

Do we follow his child like Spirit as a Son wanting be taught by His Father, being a virgin bride clear of all other wisdom, trends, and traditions of the world that want to enslave us? Let us look at His life as our model and check and see if we are only married to one Spiritual husband?

First, like Him, where are we getting our wisdom from? Only from His Spirit, and only through receiving Him from the Cross will His Spirit open up the understanding of His words in our hearts. A natural man cannot see, hear, or conceive what God has prepared for them. His Holy Spirit will never add or subtract anything in our hearts that He does not open up through His written Word. In other words what is in the Bible is in our hearts through His direct Spirit, He does add or subtract anything that is not already written in the Bible. His Spirit and the Bible will always coincide with the same reasoning with one another. First comes the Spirit of God directly into the heart and mind of his children, then His Word opens up in their hearts and mind. The person then has the mind of Christ through His Spirit and are capable of knowing for certain the deep things of God. When a person experiences this revelation it is quite overwhelming at first, but He will calm his child down where they can speak through His self-control as their soul rest comfortably in Him alone.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 However, as it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him, but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

1 Corinthians 4:15 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment. For who has known the mind of the Lord that he my instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

With this written let us begin and see if the majority of his “body” of believers today go by His Written Word through his death, resurrection, and life, or do they follow another Jesus they are creating, with a different gospel, and are we putting up with it easily?

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.

Did His "church" long ago let someone come in and preach another Jesus other than the Jesus Paul preached? Let us look at the life of Jesus and see if the majority of the “body”  has been following the same Jesus Paul preached about, the same gospel, and the same spirit Paul received.

Did Jesus go to seminary school to learn about God, to know God, did he have to pay to get a degree before He could be a Priest, council or do His ministry? Did any of his disciples, or apostles? God chose Him, called Him, and gave Him all He needed to be all of what God His Father was asking Him to be through His Spirit? All though we know He was God he still was a perfect human with no blemish or sin He had to depend totally on His Godliness to accomplish all His Father was asking Him to do. Jesus sent us out into the world just like God sent Jesus out into the world, although we are not perfect, He does a perfect work in and through us every day as we die every day to our nature giving him our own personalities to be used for his purpose. We should be looking at his life and our life should follow His spiritually, physically and emotionally through His Spirit. Is it?

Clearly any believer as well as non-believers can see the difference in His first “church” and the church we are claiming to be His today. When you compare the first followers of Christ they clearly  followed his death, life and resurrection, and He worked through them because of it. Today not so much and it is easily seen.

Did Jesus tell his first followers to celebrate Christmas, and Easter, or did He? Did the first body of believers?  No He didn’t, and His first body of believers did not either. What did He tell them to do in remembrance of Him?

Luke 22:19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new convent in my blood, which is poured out for you.

When we look at the life of Jesus he was living through the law at the time. He was a Hebrew Jew and was raised with their sacrificial laws, offerings, festivals, and Sabbath days so He lived them out in his life because He came first to fulfill all their laws, offerings, festivals and Sabbath days through His Spirit first. While he was still alive he gave them little rain drops of his truth because they would not be able to understand all of what He was saying at the time, until he resurrected, and then the Spirit would remind them of all He said, and through the Spirit each person could then fulfill the law being free of doing all those things, but through Him could be right with God.

Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

John 1:16 From the fullness of his grace we have all received on blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but god the One and only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.

Romans 5:9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him! For if, when we were God’s enemies we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, ow much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ in whom we have now received reconciliation.

John 14:25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart’s be troubled and do not be afraid.

This would mean the Jews would not have to do all these festivals, offerings, and laws physically any more. He would complete them within himself through His Spirit when they receive Him after the resurrection through the Cross, and be reconciled to God through Him and not have to live through the law anymore! I can't imagine how much weight was lifted off of the first Jews. Not only for their sins, but for having to live through the law of keeping all those sacrifices and laws they themselves could not ever keep.

Another piece of evidence that the “body” is not following today that the first church did is through the orderly worship instructions that is in 1 Corinthians 14:29-31, the majority of believers today truly do not worship this way. Many are in too big of a hurry to do what they want to do, and do not give Him first priority on Sunday much less in their daily lives. Many want to keep the one speaker and all listening method without sharing God's revelations from others with the whole body gaining more of Him through it. Others have been taught a certain way and they are sticking to what they have been taught by others, justifying it in many ways, and again man following other men and not God.

1 Corinthians 14:29-31 Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said, and if a revelation comes to someone sitting down, the first speaker should stop.  For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged.

We can truly see from what has been written by way of His Spirit of truth that Jesus did not tell his children to go to Seminary school, celebrate his birth, his resurrection on certain days, and we can clearly see His first followers in the Bible did not either. He clearly knew in Him they would every day hold on to what He could only give.

How much of a virgin do you think God sees when He looks at His majority of churches today, are they presenting themselves to him as a complete virgin? Sadly to say not many, and for a very long time when you go back in history.

Thank God we can Wake UP, be the few that truly follow Him, His life, death and resurrection and prove His Word through His Spirit can turn His children around! It is not too late to repent and Him begin working in and through His children just like He did through the first church and then the world can truly see how different we are from them and many more will be drawn to Him!

Revelation 3:4 Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes will, like them, be dressing white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

We can repent and begin again only keeping what He wants us to keep, clean out our closet with all the clothes that do not belong to Him, and that means EVERYTHING! I know how tempting it is to keep some of the old, but clean it out for Him and He will give you the strength and will power to do it!! If we only want to put His wedding clothes on, we will give up all things for Him and His sake, and we will test everything. If we want to be a virgin Spiritual bride and Him being our only Spiritual husband we are married too, meaning the only God we listen to as Lord of our lives, we will, if we do not then we will not; He will never force us.

Would He then be working in and through us like He did in His first church? I do not know that is up to Him, but I am willing to give up all for His sake, are you?  This was a huge step for me to give up what I followed most of my life, but He has brought me too far to continue not giving up all he is asking of me, and pressing on each day through His Spirit of truth to be more like Him as He molds me into His true image, his love compels me to move and do and I must follow if I want to remain in His love and guidance. The same goes with you where ever you are.

It is up to us all to be obedient to Him giving up what He is asking us too so he can work freely in and through us for His purpose of creating a Kingdom of His very own as He did through His first church. If you are willingly please join me, and we can rejoice in Him together growing more into his image while he works in and through us more freely as He did His first church.
