Is Jesus Christ truly the Lord of your life?

What does Lord mean?
Many of us call Jesus Christ Lord, and yet do we truly know what that means, and if we do know what it means, is He truly Lord of our lives?
We see these relationships lived out in epistles of John in chapter 9 between Jesus and a blind man Jesus healed. The Pharisees investigated this blind man’s healing when he gained his sight since he had been blind since birth. After the man gained his sight he told them that the man that healed him had come from God, and the Pharisee’s threw him out after they had said a few words. We will pick up the relationship between him and Jesus after the Pharisees through him out.
John 9:35-39 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of God?” Who is he, Lord? The man asked. “Tell me that I may believe in him; Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking to you. Then the man said, “Lord, I believe and he worshiped him. Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.”
We can see through this relationship Christ healed this blind man and opened His eyes to see Jesus as He truly was. He was his Savior because he saved him from his blindness, and Lord of his life, because he immediately worshiped him.  Jesus had given him all he needed to believe in who He truly was spiritually, physically, and emotionally. This man could truly see who he was and his guilt was removed. His physical blindness had already been healed and now his spiritual blindness was healed. He knew Him as Lord and he immediately worshiped him. Jesus was proving he is the light of the world as the Savior of mankind through Him being Lord of our lives.
Lord -  Greek translation is the word kurios, or kyrios and it sounds like koo-ree-os it means he whom a person belongs, and he has the power to decide for that person.
Jesus is called Lord of Lords, meaning out of all the Lords in the world he is Lord over them, and He is Lord to help us through his righteous judgment, not to hinder us, but to lead us in the right direction. His truth in who we are in Him is the truth, way and life we can only find our true selves. He wants us to have an abundant life under his Lordship now and for eternity. We must listen to him, and only him speaking through someone else, if we are calling Him Lord. We will recognize all truth, and falsehood through His Spirit if He truly is Lord of our lives.
Luke 6:46 “Why do you all me, ‘Lord, Lord. And do not do what I say? I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice.
He heals us spiritually, emotionally, and physically if we let Him be Lord of our lives. We will be practicing his words into our lives daily and only listening to Him guide and mold us into His image, and we will be like the house that was built on the rock. If we put any other person over him, or if we listen and apply any other word or instructions beside His to our lives we will lose all He has given us as Him being Lord of our lives and we will sink like the house that was built on sand. If we live by the will of ourselves or the will of others we will fall away from what He is giving us. When we surrender our lives to Him as Lord of ourselves that means we have total faith in Him making all of our deciding choices for us in doing His will for our lives, not our will, or the will of others, but His and only His.
Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name, drive out demons, and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from em, you evildoers!
If you truly want Him to be Lord of your life, but after these words you find yourself not truly listening to him, not practicing daily by applying His words to your life, and not doing His will, but your own or the will of others, as always it is not too late!!

You can begin by going to the Cross and asking him to forgive you for not making him Lord of your life with a sincere heart, tell him that you want to listen only to him, that you will truly begin practicing and applying his words to your daily life, and He will forgive you, and give you a new desire in your heart to complete all that you have said, and He will never leave you as long as you remain in Him!! You can today begin doing His will for your life, experience his abundance spiritually, emotionally, and physically that surpasses any you can have naturally, and live with him for eternity. He can open your eyes to His truth like He did this blind man, and you will worship Him all the days here and for eternity more than you can ever imagine as the Lord of your life!

shortest bible verse on Thursday, October 24, 2019 1:27 AM
Jesus called" (John 11:35) is certainly the shortest verse in English. In English it is 9 letters long. But in Greek it has 16 letters
