Matthew 15:13 He replied, "Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit."
This past week I had Jury duty. I was amazed at how many people did not want to be where they were planted. There were forty two in my group and only two wanted to be where they were planted. I pondered if any of them were planted by my Heavenly Father in this secular world we live in. If so, why were they wanting so desperately to be planted someone where else or to be doing other things in this world rather than be where they were called to be?
I understand there may be hardships that is more important than "jury duty" that will allow many to be excused, but "Jury duty" is our governments way to prove justice is lived out in our country the way it is suppose to be.
Like I have said and written many times I am a rare bird. A rare bird does not mean there is only one bird in the world that is like it, it means there are only a few.
Matthew 7:13 (Jesus said) Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Like Jesus I want to be anywhere my Father has planted me, sharing His word and works so others may be drawn to him in any setting I have been planted in through His given Spirit. I learned a great deal during the jury process and I talked to many "Christians" and the different ways they saw Jesus and the work of His amazing grace. I did not get chosen for the jury but I left His word and works for many to ponder.
Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
If you find yourself not wanting to be where you are planted look at whether you are completing your Heavenly Father's will being full of His joy where ever He has planted you in life because you are there to reflect His image through His words and deeds as He wills, and let the relationships and circumstances fall where they may.
Do not be anxious, inpatient, complaining, or fearful about anywhere he has placed you because if you are His He you know He has planted you to reflect Him and the truth of who He is in your life. You are witnesses sent into the world to witness who He is where ever He has placed you.
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Where ever you are, what ever you are doing, or what ever you have to face each day, talk to God about it and obey His Word and His peace will guard your heart has you obey Him. His peace is not your own peace or the peace someone else can give you, His peace transcends any other peace. That means it goes much deeper and raises you above yourself and this world into His Kingdom you cannot see, touch or feel physically. Spiritually through His Spirit of truth He gives your mortal body, spirit, and soul life beyond the natural no matter where He plants you!
This is one of my favorite descriptions of a person that is planted by God in this world and I hope it describes all of His reborn children. If not, you ca turn to Him now and pray. Tell them the truth of what you are lacking of Him, He will give you the gift of repentance that leads to His deliverance. What He gives us of Himself transcends all natural human nature and this secular world!
Blessed is the man (human-being) who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. What ever he does prospers.
Until next time my prayer is that you receive today and everyday all He has for you in all His ways He can give it!
