Who is up for such a task, as carrying the Cross of Christ?

Who is up for such a task as carrying the Cross of Christ?

If we are fully in Christ, and lead fully by His Spirit, and word speaking, and walking in His truth, all of who we are, and what we are speaking, spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him. God uses our senses throughout His word of truth as a way of explaining how He receives us and the way we receive Him through His Spirit.

Those who love Him, the knowledge of Him is like a fragrance of life, those who don’t love Him above all, his knowledge is like a fragrance of death because they will have to give up something or someone they love more than him.

People will “see”, and “smell” His light of life glowing within a person, or they will “see” or “smell” death. It does not matter where He has placed them through His Spirit, all will be exposed because who He is within that person.

It can be in the darkest place, or in the brightest of places, a child of God will be spreading the knowledge of who He is through their words and deeds. He will always be lifted in every child that loves Him, and He will always be lifted in others through them.

God will always lead His children that are carrying His Cross in triumphal procession because they are spreading the knowledge of Christ. They will always be a pleasing aroma to Him. They will remain following Him by all He gives them from within, regardless how others respond to His presence, and message.

2 Corinthians 11:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved, and those who are perishing. To the one are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task? Unlike so many, we do not peddle the world of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like man sent from God.

To God, His true children are the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. His truth within them will always remain the same, but people will respond to Him differently. All will be exposed by how each person responds to His truth.

To one, who do not love Him above all others and things, they will respond to His message as a fragrance of death. These people can be false apostles masquerading as apostles of Christ. It can also be proven through any unbeliever. The person who smells death, due to their lack of love for Him, will respond to the anointed child of God with, pride, self-piety, bitterness, resentment, mocking, and contempt.

To the other, who truly loves Him, they will respond to His message as a fragrance of life. They will respond with His humility toward His Father as a child being taught by His Father through His Spirit, His joy, His gentleness, His understanding, and love, the fruit of His Spirit will be lifting them up giving them life through the message, not death.

Jesus shares this truth with a religious man, a high member of the ruling council of the Pharisee, named Nicodemus.  He came to visit Jesus in the “dark”, because he was scared to visit Jesus in the “day light.” He feared losing his position, reputation, and being ridiculed by the other Pharisees.

Nicodemus had seen and heard how the other Pharisees ridiculed Jesus, and his disciples in their council meetings, and he did not want to experience what Jesus and the other disciples of Christ were experiencing. Jesus tells Nicodemus a person must be reborn through His Spirit of truth to enter the Kingdom of God, and He is the verdict that has come into the world to prove those that do live through His Spirit of light,  and those that don’t, remain in darkness.

John 3:19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth come into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.

Some people will love darkness, the lie, more than His light of truth, and they will not come into His light of truth in fear of their evil deeds being exposed, but those who love His truth will come into His light and not be afraid of exposing the lie, and it will be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.

Nicodemus and the other Pharisees liked people lifting them up, praising them, boasting about them, but they did not live to please God, and did not live humbly for God so He could exalt them. They were not any different than the world or the Roman government, they liked exalting themselves, and they used everything, every occasion, and people to exalt themselves. A humble child of God will always live for God, in all occasions, to exalt them not people. Just like Jesus did not live for people to exalt Him, He lived for His Father to exalt Him, and we will too, if He is in us.

1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that He may exalt you.

Evil in God’s sight reveals many spirits a natural man will never be aware of, and many can be deceived thinking they are rightly related to God, but they may be idolizing something above Him that makes them feel good. Today there are many who love people, life, and all things around them, but they, like Nicodemus, become very religious, and have a  deep passion in pleasing God, but it is through their own ideas and understanding of who God was and is.

Nicodemus wanted to learn about Jesus, but he had no true love for God, and His understanding of who He was in His heart. Nicodemus had earthly things on His mind above Heavenly things. He let fear take over, fear of losing His standing in the community, fear of losing his own value of his accomplishments, and fear of losing his own understanding of who God was. Nicodemus was much like Paul, being twisted by His religious views, rules, traditions, and was being deceived until He heard the truth from Jesus.

John 3:11 I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.

V 14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.

We do not know what happened to Nicodemus after Jesus was resurrected, perhaps He was resurrected by our Father through His power and grace working in Nicodemus as He worked in Paul, and all the disciples and followers of Jesus the same way He works in and through us.

I think because Nicodemus was curious enough to seek him out in secret before his crucifixion, when Jesus was crucified, the earth shook, and the religious curtain was torn, the heart of Nicodemus was open enough to let His faith in and fear out! We do know what happened to Paul when He saw the light of Jesus after Jesus resurrected to Heaven.

The light of Jesus, His grace within had a huge effect on Him, and Paul gave all of himself to Jesus as God’s Holy Son and His Heavenly Father through all God had given Paul through His Spirit of truth, just as He does in and through us today, we too can be like Paul and give all when we first see Jesus, and everyday after, for Him to make the choices in life for us through His Spirit of truth.

If you find yourself responding to God’s truth with fear of any kind, resentment, mocking, contempt, self-piety, pride in your own righteousness, repent immediately and face His truth, and presence that gives you new birth, and life. His mercy and His forgiveness will be like a fountain pouring over you with a new heart lifting you up to only wanting to please Him above all others and things in this world.

Let His truth transform us, mold us, and lift us higher than we are today, higher than our own righteousness, and higher than our own guilt and shame. This task of carrying our Cross is a miracle that only can be done through the power and grace of God. You can begin pouring out His light of truth without fear as a humble devoted child wanting to be taught by a devoted Father.

He will exalt you beyond your own imagination that takes you beyond this world into His Kingdom. Those who are perishing or those who are being saved will not affect your relationship with Him, but through each response He will reveal who we are. Who is up for such a task as carrying His Cross? Those who love Him above all!

Are you a watchman, or a watchwoman for God?

Are you a watchman or a watchwoman for God?

Proverbs 8:34 Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.

A watchman, or a watchwoman is someone in the city or a community that would be designated by the city or community to warn the unrighteous, guard the righteous from the unrighteous, and their influence, or defend the righteous any means that were necessary. They would stand at the doors of the houses, stand at the doors of their work places, stand at the door of their synagogues, and stand at the doors of their communities, and countries.

A "watch person" for God  is much like a shepherd watching over their sheep in the parables of God.  A "shepherd" for God has to be His "sheep" in order to become His "shepherd" or "watch person".

1 Peter 5:1 To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder, a witness of Christ's sufferings and one who also will share in the glory to be revealed. Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers-not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.

Many look at this scripture and automatically think Peter is talking about mature in age elderly people. Truly Peter is talking to young and elderly in age. Each age group in Christ can willingly be a witness, shepherd, watchperson for Him, and experience His sufferings, which was persecution.

A school age child can suffer persecution because they are being examples of Christ in word and deed just as much as some one older in age. They also are humble, and not hoarding their salvation over their peers, as the elderly in age are humble and do not hoard their position over those who are younger. Each speaking His truth through the words He gives and walking out His truth is a part of every person in Christ. Everyone He has appointed as His witness through Christ can be His shepherd,  watchman or watchwoman if they are hold enough to be accountable.

All throughout the Bible God would appoint watchmen, shepherds for His cities or "flock." Each of us in Christ have been given a flock to watch over. The young and the old in age were included among his prophets, kings, and disciples. In the Old Testament God would appoint judges, kings, prophets, watchmen and watchwomen that were appointed by the king, or God to stand guard against the unrighteous.

They would watch from the gates, high towers, and walk among the people inside the gate and outside checking on their farms and vineyards. They would have meetings with the king and report any danger in the land or the city. The "watch person" would warn the unrighteous, protect the righteous, and if they had too, they would physically remove the unrighteous from the city, take them to court to face the judges, or kill them if it came to that to protect their righteous people in their cities. Many wars broke out, and divided kingdoms emerged. These wars are still going on today between the righteous, and the unrighteous in so many ways.

Through the History of the Old Testament, the kings, the prophets, judges, and the watchmen and watchwomen that did not do their jobs as God instructed, would quickly fall into the life of the unrighteous, and the unrighteous would take over their righteous cities, or bring back their prisoners to their land. The unrighteous Babylon King taking over Israel was God's punishment for His people because of their rebellious acts, idolatry, and their lack of only worshiping Him above all people and things. He had to punish the unrighteous to save the righteous, or the prophecy of Jesus and the Cross would not have been fulfilled.

Ezekiel was a prophet chosen by God to be a watchman, or shepherd for his flock, Israel, when they were captured by Babylonians, due to all the sins they committed, and they had to live in a country that was led by people that did not believe in their God. These are the words God spoke to Ezekiel, and it also is the words He speaks to us as His chosen children through His Son Jesus Christ, living in a fallen world, we are to remain righteous in Him, and still warn others through these same words He gives us, as God did through Jesus when our Father sent Him and fulfilled His first coming to save the world, Jews first then the Gentiles, and today He still is, in and through us.

Ezekiel 3:17 Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. When I say to a wicked man, “You will surely die, and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.

If you have surrendered all to God through the Cross, and He has revealed to you through His Spirit a person you know that does wicked acts, a person that has other idols above Him, double-minded, or is lukewarm “spiritually”, and you do not warn them by speaking the words He gives you, their blood is on your hands, just as the blood of the wicked, idolatry, lukewarm person would have been on Ezekiel’s hands.

If you are a child of God, His witness, and can’t hear the words He gives you then your eyes are off Him, and on the people, or the circumstances. You have more sympathy for that person, or more fear of the circumstances above pleasing Him, and what He can give you, and that person. If you do hear His words He is speaking to you to give to that unrighteous person, and you ignore Him, He will hold you accountable for their blood, and it does not matter who they are, he will old you accountable, because He is trying to save them through you. These are His words not mine, and it is up to all of us to take heed to them as He takes hold of us.

Through Christ He has chosen all of us who are in Him to speak the words He gives us, that is dwelling in us through the Spirit of truth, if He is in us, His words will be there at the right time, and be spoken the right way, without fear, calmly, sternly, bubbling up, and pouring out of us with His authority. This does not mean we will be perfect all the time, but it also means we can be if we remain in the light as He is in the light.

He only knows what we are today, and what we will be tomorrow. His will is for to stay in the light as He is in the light, but if we do not we will repent, ask for forgiveness and begin where we left off. He will give us enough grace to overcome our mistakes, and let us know when we make them. He will change us daily as we walk in Him daily. The process and length of time it takes a person to be spiritually mature in Him is measured by your willingness to please Him through a devoted relationship, and not the worlds way, or man's way, but His way. He has already done all He needs to do for us, now it is up to us to receive all He has done, and put Him before us through His life giving Spirit.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his son, purifies us from all sin.

Sometimes our words may appear to hard, or too soft, but through Him it will always be as He intends it to be, because of the blessing His peace and grace we receive from Him no one can touch. The more of our natural flesh we give to Him the more He will come through. He will always prick our hearts when we are not rightly related to Him because we are His children He is molding and shaping to do His will on this earth. Beware, do not deceive yourself by letting your feelings or emotions lift you up, or bring you down, you will always grow tried and weary if you are living through your natural emotions.

1 John 1:2 My dear children, I write this to yo so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense-Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. (Or He is the one who turns aside God's wrath, taking away our sins, and not only ours but also the whole world.)

He is much greater than our natural feelings and emotions. His words will not be sugar coated, nor will they taste like vinegar. They will be like salt is to food, igniting out the right flavors, and a beautiful aroma to God, that brings out all the right emotions of his temperament, to the right people at the right time. His truth will always bring Godly sorrow no matter how sincere a person is, and we will be grateful for Him breaking our hearts.

2 Corinthians 2:15-17 For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life, and who is equal to such a task? Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God.

Our Father exposed what was hidden in the world through His Son for His purpose, and through Him He will expose what is hidden in ourselves, and through us for others for His purpose. Jesus spoke to all the people, with the right temperament for each one, at the right time, and through Him we will too. If we are fixing our eyes on Jesus He will give us the right words and the right temperament every time, and we will never grow weary or lose heart, speaking, praying, and walking in and through His Spirit for our Father and His Son sake for their Kingdom building, not because we must, but because we are willing through His given Spirit to do His will.

Hebrews 12:2 We are fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the Cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so you will not grow weary and loose heart.

His He tugging on your heart to be His witness, shepherd, or "watchperson"? Is He calling you to warn the wicked, the people who have lost their first love for Him, the idolater, the lukewarm, the double-minded,and the people who do not walk and talk through His Spirit and word? If you have fully surrendered wholeheartedly to Christ, then He is calling you to be sent, has He was sent. What is your answer to His call? Who, or what is most important to you?

Will you be held accountable for the blood of others because you did not speak, or will you save yourself, and possibly someone else if you do? Through the fullness of Christ, we are all His witnesses, shepherds, watchmen, or watchwomen for our Father doing His will! Are you listening to Him, watching daily at his doors he has given you, speaking His words, and waiting at his doorways? If you are, then you are being blessed by Him within, and in many ways!

Can we truly hear the voice of God, or is His voice based on our feelings?

Can we truly hear God’s voice within, or is His voice based only on our “feelings?”

John 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

My last blog discussed God’s wisdom and how we can receive it, and attain it, but many do not hear His voice to attain His wisdom above any others, and they are being deceived thinking it is His voice. To many voices can prevent us from hearing God's One true voice. Are you protecting your ears?

Some “Christians” claim they do not hear God’s voice speaking to them, they live by their “feelings.” They claim they feel Him because of the way they “feel” when they face a problem, sin, or heart break. Jesus did not say His “sheep” will hear me by the way they “feel,” He said they will know His voice, listen to it, and follow it because they belong to Him.  He tells the Pharisee’s of His day they were not his sheep that is why they did not listen to His voice, believe Him, or follow Him.

John 10:25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, (Pharisees) but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father’s name speak for me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep.

Most of us know God is not here in the flesh as He was when He walked this earth through His Spirit in His First Holy Son Jesus Christ. How are we supposed to hear someone that is not here, know His voice, and follow Him. How are we to discern which voice is Him, Satan, our own voice, or the voice of the world?

It is through His life given Spirit we are reborn children of God experiencing eternal life, and He is present working in us, and through us redeeming our lost relationship with our Father due to our sinful flesh natural human nature that He crucifies daily as we surrender our body, spirit and soul in His hands to use, mold and shape into the image of the fullness of God.

The Holy Spirit of God that is in us wants to speak, walk, judge, and finish the building up of His Kingdom through us. We are all sent as He was sent. Everything we do with our bodies, how we think, what we say, how we say it, any decision we make, and what or who breaks our heart, matters, and is very important to Him every moment of your life.

We do not know how the Spirit came within us, only we know He is there, we hear His voice, we are willingly to be His, and follow His voice as a sheep follows a shepherd. We are like His sheep, and are willing to be obedient doing our "Shepherds" will at all cost because we know His will is best for us. We are His sheep as if He was our One true Shepherd knowing He will give us all we need. We hear and know His voice above all others.

John 36: Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, “You (Greek is plural) must be born again. The wind blows where ever it pleases, you hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So, it is with every born of the Spirit.

Nicodemus had not experienced this encounter with God’s Spirit within himself up to this point in time because our Lord had not risen so He could not rise in Nicodemus. It was hard from Him to understand, and if He has not risen fully in us it also will be hard for us to understand. Those that did, and do experience their rebirth after His resurrection knew, and know exactly what Jesus was saying because they understood due to the Holy Spirit teaching them, they knew His voice, flowed Him, and He worked through them as He worked through His First Son.

We can testify to what happened to the first disciples that continued to follow Him after His resurrection, they knew His voice, listened only to Him, and followed only Him. His Holy Spirit and power rose in them from the dead, and they completely understood all He had said, and they continually heard his voice, because He was within each of them as He is in each of us today.

Now that we understand His voice is given through His Spirit that rises in us that gives us rebirth, He speaks to us, we listen, and follow His voice how does God give us the ears to hear Him, and know His voice, and others don't.

First, He prepares our ears to hear only His voice by the relationship He offers us from the cross, all people, and we protect our ears to only hear Him over any other person, or thing in this world. He prepares first by all He gives us, then we protect.

I do not think many "Christians" that came before us for centuries did much protecting of their ears due to the evidence of the majority of the churches today that followed them. We must make sure no other voice holds us captive. Sounds simple, and it is if we are all willing to face His truth His Word provides.

We make His guidance, His work, or hearing His voice more complicated each time we do not put His relationship above all others. He must be above all relationships in our past, and in our future for us to be able to hear only His voice above all others. His voice must be above all others in our hearts this moment, and each moment that follows regardless who is speaking.

They could be a great man in the eyes of the religious community, or in the world, it should not matter who the man or the women is. If the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is truly is the most important voice in our lives we will hear Him and His truth, and protect our ears from hearing any other voice because He tells us what is true and what is false. Our lives are made of moments to glorify Him, and who He is in our daily lives that surpasses any other human need we may have.

We begin following other people, fathers, mothers, preachers or priest, and yes, even the Pope very easily if they are most important. Many people put others before Him all the time, and do not realize it, and therefore, His voice is being hindered because they have not been protecting their ears. When we begin to cherish man-made traditions, and basic teachings of this world we are blocking His voice.

It is hard not to hear God if a person truly does put Him above all others, want to please Him above all, and obey Him above all. If a person truly does want to please Him they will always hear Him above the voice of any man or woman, trouble, heartache, the world, or Satan. There could be a million-people following a certain doctrine, but His sheep will be able to hear only Him, because they know Him, and want to follow only Him, and they can by themselves if they must, and leave all other voices behind. They want to protect their ears from hearing all other voices besides His. They do not want any other voice to keep them from Hearing His.

The reason many do not hear His voice is they do not protect their ears from all the other voices. They keep wanting to hear and follow other voices, they road his voice is on is very narrow compared to all the other voices. They are determined their way is right, but they have no proof they are following His way, and life through the Word He has given. There is only One word the true Shepherd (Son) follows, and that is the word of His Father.

2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world, rather than on Christ.

If any of us are basing our worship and lives on any other instructions, teachings other than on Christ then we are not going to hear Him and know His voice, and many today are being deceived by hearing other voices, and following them but their beliefs and lives do not align with His word.

Submission: Do you truly desire to Hear Him and only Him? First, when His Spirit is revealed in us, do we submit to Him as our Lord, or do we make Him submit to us, our way, and our image of who we want Him to be? He is our Lord, and our Lord does not submit to our ways, thoughts, and views of ourselves, the world, and Satan. We submit to His ways, teachings and word; not the other way around. Ask Him to help you silence your own thoughts, the opinions of men and all that is not Him in you.  He will, but you must be willing to travel down that narrow road when He reveals His truth to you, and you will always here his truth, the lies of Satan and the world that are trying to deceive you.

Resist Do you truly want to resist your sinful nature, the world and the power of darkness? Do you truly want to break what binds you and has you all tied up inside? If you do not, you will not hear His voice because the sinful life is blocking His voice. This does not mean His child that does hear Him will hate other people. This means you resist their ways, teachings, sins, and all that is not God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Are you truly wanting to resist all evil? Repentance and confessing one sins to God opens our ears to hearing His voice. Ignoring your sin, or the sins of others will keep you from hearing God’s voice. Are you wanting to please Him above all? Remember every human being is evil with their own evil desires within each of them. Are we wanting and willing to resist all evil?

The good of man, and His own righteousness, is evil as any evil there is in God’s sight. Making oneself a "god" is  making one self an idol. We all need to use the authority Jesus Christ has given us through His Spirit and word to silence the voice of the enemy. The evil spirits, lies and deception will flee from all He gives us if we are truly wanting to get rid of all that is not Him in us by His power and grace.

2 Corinthians 10:4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. WE demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God.

Colossians 1:28 We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully work in me.

If a person has received His faith, they will except to hear His voice as the Father He is. They will not doubt, or have a over whelming fear, being a false witness revealing someone He isn't.  If a person remains in Him and His words remain in them, whatever they wish, it will be given to them. Those are His children His power works in and through. They know His voice.

John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father’ glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

God speaks in and through us in different ways:

When a person is allowing God to work freely in and through them, by giving their full heart to Him freely, they will be allowing God to speak to them, and through them any way He chooses for the building up of His Kingdom. We do not dictate to Him the guidance methods we prefer. He is the Father we are the child. There is a direct link between submitting, denying ourselves, yielding to Him and hearing His voice. He may choose to speak to you through His Word of truth, His Holy Bible. This could come in our daily reading of the Bible, but remember to listen to only Him through prayer and meditation. Let your relationship to Him prove to be more important to you personally before the “foot notes” from others. Let Him tell you if the “foot notes” from others confirm what He is speaking to you, if it is different, wait, He will reveal His truth to you where you have no doubts at all.

Psalm 119:107 I have suffered much; preserve my life, O Lord, according to your word.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

He may choose to speak to you through an audible voice, this does not need to happen as much today, because He speaks to us within and He does not have to speak to us in an audible voice. He does not have to speak to one person through an audible voice. That does not mean He can’t, He still can if He chooses as He did many times. This encounter with His audible voice I am using is one of my favorite that Moses had with Him seeing parts of His spiritual body, but not His face. I cannot imagine what Moses saw, but His Spirit within me burns with His fire and glory each time I read it.

Exodus 33:19 And the LORD said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front to you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion, But, he said, “You cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” Then the LORD said, there is a place near me where you can stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.

He may speak to you through dreams and visions

Matthew 2:13 When they had gone an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get Up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt.

Acts 2:17 In the lase days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people, your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. I will show wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billow of smoke.

The most common way He speaks to us is through the quiet inner voice through His Spirit, that shakes our body as if it was roaring thunder compared to any others. It is very clear, you know it, and you can either reject it or follow it every day of your life.

This does not mean once you hear His voice and have given all of yourself to Him above all others and things you are finished, it only means He can begin working fully in you, and you must continue each minute putting Him above all so He can continually fully work in and through you all the days of your life. It is much easier to die once for Him physically, than it is to live for Him daily Spiritually.

His love His Spirit reveals to us gives us is limitless, growing higher and higher in the depth of His love and power for each of us, and through us to share with the whole world as His first sons and daughters did through His Word of truth. Those that first bore His fruit of healing spiritually, physically, emotionally and intellectually, His first followers, His first body of believers, and His early church testifies too should be His same church body today, but clearly it is not.

For some it may take a life time to give up their sinful lives, the way of the world, and putting others, or following others above Him. For some they may give up a little here, and a little there all of their lives. For others, they give up all at one time, and continue giving up all daily, and this can happen to anyone at the age they are accountable of knowing their own sins.

Isaiah 30:21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Then you will defile your idols over laid with silver and your images covered in gold, you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, away with you!”

Everything and spirit that is not Him should be like menstrual cloths compared to what He wants to give us. Have all things, spiritual, physical, intellectual, and emotional in us, that is not Him, become like a menstrual cloth to us?

Are we putting anything or anyone above Him now, we should not think about other “Christians” in the past, or those in the present, why they went this way, or going this way. We need to think about only Him, His life, crucifixion, resurrection, through His instructions He gave all of us through His Holy Words that live in us through His Spirit.
Only through Him can we help ourselves and anyone else. Are we truly willing to follow Him regardless of anyone else going their way?

His inner voice His sheep will always hear, and know it because they know Him, whether they go to the right or to the left, up a mountain or in a storm every minute and every day of their lives. He will always lead them to follow Him and His voice in the right spirit, mind, body and soul His Spirit only can give them.

Those who hear and know His voice will reveal His presence. Their souls, body and spirit will change according to His image through His given power and grace. If we hear His voice, and are following His voice He will be shaping us, and molding us to the image of His Son by His Given Spirit revealing wonders, signs and miracles in their changed lives.

This is for the purpose of giving our Heavenly Father glory in showing His healing power physically, spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally! Then He will use His reborn children to draw people that want to live in His light so all of them will see what was done in and through them was done by their Heavenly Father through His Son, and they will glorify their Father in Heaven!

How do we attain God's wisdom?

How do we receive and attain God’s wisdom?

By His given relationship through His Son can we only receive, and attain His Wisdom. Not through “religion”, but through His relationship given to us through His Son. The Book of Proverbs is full of God’s divine wisdom for us to learn from. Those who have received the Spirit of God through Jesus Christ our Lord by way of the Cross, by their daily crucifying of their will for His through His relationship will gain His wisdom. He is their built-in Counselor full of God’s divine wisdom that walks and speaks to them daily. The Book of Proverbs is living in them, as it did in Solomon and now through His Son Jesus, and His wisdom is pouring out for others what He has put in.

John 14:25 All this I (Jesus) have spoken while still with you. (1 disciples). But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

This tells us through Christ, and the Cross, we have a built-in reminder sent by God through Jesus of all Jesus said, He is the Word of God, is within each of us. All His instructions are given to us out of love for us to live by, if we love Him above all we will be living by them. If we are using our ears to listen to Him, and our hearts belonging only to Him above all He will counsel us every minute of every day, because He never leaves us, and He is always with us for our good. It is people who leave him, listen to other voices, and He is not wholeheartedly above all in their lives is why He can’t work in and through them properly.

Proverbs 2 gives us some insight of how the Counselor’s wisdom within us works when our relationship with Him is proven in our lives. It is a great proof that God sent to those who truly love Him so they can understand how they know what they know about their Heavenly Father. Has He proved these words to be true in your life without a doubt, without shame, without fear, and, without confusion?

Proverbs 2:1-5 My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.

The first response proving our relationship with Him is complete will be if we accept His words or not. God does not demand us to accept His words, He says If you do… Any relationship we have with another human requires us to listen and accept their words or not. Our words and our conversations matter if a relationship with someone truly matters. With God, it is no different. He has offered this relationship with Him, we listen to Him, and it is up to us to accept His word or not.

I use to think it was very hard not to accept God’s word He gives a person through His message of the Cross through His Life-giving Spirit and Word because when I received Him, His grace had a huge effect on me. I could not help but to be drawn to His word, accept it and never leave it. Not all people respond to Him that way, nor do they want too.

I first heard Him, and His words through a woman He sent to me in my late forties. That was the first time anyone had set down with me, and told me about Him the Cross, and what it truly meant. It was the first time I heard Him speak “His” words directly to me. I do not know if it was because I had been taught wrong, or my own hears were blocked by what I thought about myself. Either way, that was the first time I heard HIM and HIS words through another person.

Why is it easy for some to accept His words, and for others it is not? There are many reasons why people cannot accept His words. First, they are hearing the wrong words, the wrong gospel, and with the wrong spirits, and they are not His. They are coming from another spirit that is not Him, but they may be claiming they are coming from Jesus, and God. They are being deceived without realizing it.

2 Corinthians 11:3 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.

Second, their ears may be blocked thinking they are not worthy enough to hear Him, and they believe their sin is to sinful for Him to save. Third, it may be because they are too prideful going their own way whether it is their good works, their own accomplishments, and their own building themselves up to be the god that saves themselves. They cannot hear Him as their God due to themselves and others in their way they have put above Him.

Fourth, there may be many things in life they love above Him, and this can be people, family members, and friends and the world they live in. The world says our life and human beings matter more to us than God, God tells us we must lose our life, and ourselves, for His sake, before we can find our true life, and ourselves. Before we can accept God and His words we must hear them, His Words that are coming from Him, not a natural man, and that includes ourselves making Him submit to our own image of Him. God does not submit to our understanding, we submit to His.

store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding,

store up my commands within you

As human beings, we store up many things other than His commandments or instructions. If our relationship is being proven as a child and a Father relationship, we will be willing to store up all of our Fathers instructions as a child wanting to be taught only by Him.

I remember storing up moral teachings of my mother and father that would help me in life, respect your elders, say thank you, and please, ask for forgiveness and forgive others. We store up all kinds of things in our heart and mind, and sometimes material possession during our journey through life.

All human beings store up different teachings, memories with their family and friends, money, food, clothes, collectibles, our works, and accomplishments before we store up His commandments or instructions. This life, and this world continually draws us to please ourselves, and others above pleasing Him and His relationship. Are we storing up anything above His teachings and instructions?

turning your ear to wisdom

As human beings, we hear many voices of wisdom constantly if our ears are turned on to wisdom. Many of us do not turn our ears on to any wisdom, we travel through life not paying attention to any certain wisdom. Some travel through life hearing their own wisdom, and different voices each day, depending on the circumstances and the person that is speaking. God says they are like the waves, their minds are being tossed back and forth because they have doubt in His words.

James 1:5 If anyone lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who give generously to all without finding fought, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea blown and tossed by the wind.

When you turn yourself to  God, and His wisdom He speaks to you all the time, He corrects, and counsels you about everything you are doing for His purpose and plan making you one with the Father in relationship as the Son was with the Father.

If our ears are not turned on to God we will never hear Him, we will hear every other voice but His. If our relationship is not complete in Him we will think of other things above Him. If our relationship is complete in God our our ears are turned to God, and we are storing up all He gives us, then He will pour it out when we need it, and when others need it. Are we turning our ears to Him and His Wisdom, because His relationship is above all others in our lives?

applying your heart to understanding

As human beings, we apply our heart to many things, and people of this world. What we apply our hearts to the most will be revealed through our speech, and actions the most.  If we are applying our heart to His understanding above all others, then His understanding of who He is will be revealed the most in our speech and actions.

We could be applying our hearts to any possession, our work, our sexual lustful desires, sports, hobbies, anything that “sounds” good, or makes us “feel” good and easy to understand, but it may not be God’s understanding given to us. Just because it sounds "good" or "feels" good does not make it His good. What sounds valuable to man is detestable to God. That is why we apply our heart only to His understanding.

Luke 16:15 He (Jesus) said to them, (Pharisees) "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows you hearts. What is high valued among men is detestable in God's sight.

His understanding erases all confusion, doubt and fear in who we are, and who God is. Understanding means the knowledge and the ability to judge. Are you a person, and am I a person, who has been given the understanding of God, and the ability to judge who He is within us and through us for others? Are we applying our hearts to His understanding above all in who we are, if we are then His understanding will be revealed in us and through us, not our understanding of who He is or who we are.

and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding

Here is another if from God that reveals IF our relationship is complete in Him. If we are calling out to Him for His insight, and we cry aloud to Him for His understanding then our relationship is complete in Him.

I admit I called out many times before I knew Him, but it was for my own way, and for my own insight, and for my own understanding. I was loud standing up for my own understanding, before I heard about Him through His Words of truth. I cried out many times searching for this love I was missing. I didn’t have any idea how to find this love, and why I was missing it. I had all kinds of people and friends loving me their way all around me, but I still was missing His. I cried out for my own way, I cried out loud for my understanding, and for my pleasure when it came to my children. I did not think of anyone else, or God, all I cried out for was for me and my justice.

The first time I did cry out to Him my life began to change.

He is telling us if we cry out to Him for insight, regardless of who we see ourselves as being, and cry aloud to Him for His understanding, whether we understand Him, life, ourselves or not; He will answer. He goes further explaining how we will cry out to Him if our relationship if our heart is truly seeking Him.

and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,

We are storing up what He only can give us spiritually, turning our ears only to hear Him, applying our hearts only to His understanding, crying out for His insight, and cry aloud for His understanding he then tells us how we will be looking for His insight and understanding through the relationship He has given us. We are looking at His relationship meaning more than all the silver and treasure in the world!

We will be looking for his insight as it was silver, and searching for His understanding like it was a hidden treasure! Is His relationship being proven to be more treasured than silver and gold in your life? Then all the possessions this world has to offer?

When these words began living in me, and they did before I read them, or they were read to me, I felt strange loving a God I could not see, craving and desiring a presence and word I could not touch and receiving wisdom and insight as if they were silver, and a treasure I thought I would never find. I could not explain how He was doing all of this inside of me, and I still can't, all I knew, and still know is His relationship was true and the most real relationship I had ever experienced.

His commandments, and word I wanted to store more than anything else in my life. I wanted to turn my ears only to Him, and disregard all other voices that were not His. I wanted to apply my heart only to Him in what He wanted to give me of Himself above applying anything, anyone else, so I could understand Him, and all He was giving me each day. I knew what He was giving me was not only for me, but for others.

All He was given me was a treasure I held more dear than all the treasure this world could give me, in all its ways, and through all its inhabitants that could be shaken, and that included myself. Then He told me why?

Then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.

All this He was given me because He wanted me to fear losing Him above all, and to gain knowledge of Him above all knowledge of myself, others, Satan, and this world. Then I would know He is greater than all my problems, all my sufferings, all of Satan’s schemes and lies, all my temptations, all in this world that could be shaken, and last, but certainly not least, greater than death. This did not take him long to teach me, as many teach and say. Why you ask?

Because since the beginning, when I first received Him, I have always accepted His words, stored up only what He was giving me above all, turned only to Him, applied my heart only to His understanding, cried out only to Him, and thought of all He was given me through our relationship as greater than any treasure on earth! I listened, trusted, and obeyed.

I am nothing special, I am not wise, and I have no understanding of life and this world, but I know He is and does have all I need to be who I truly am through His eyes.

I also know He has all you truly need to accept His word, store up His teachings and instructions, turn only to Him, apply your heart only to His understanding, cry out only to Him, and to know He is the greatest treasure on earth you will ever know!

Who is the Engineer?

Who is the Engineer?

Acts:17:26

From one man, he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being.

Engineer – to lay out or mange – to guide the course of – syn: pilot, lead or steer

Many today are teaching God does not arrange our engineer our circumstances, that is a lie, do not listen, Satan is trying to deceive you so you will mold God into an image you want and not who He truly is. He determines the times, and the exact places we are to be each day so we will seek Him and reach out to Him, and perhaps find Him. Only through His Son we can live through Him, and move in the right direction and be who we are supposed to be in Him.

From one man, Adam, God our Father made every nation of human beings. Why?

Because He wanted them to inhabit the whole earth.

Who determined the times set for them, and the exact places where they should live?  He did

(NIV) He determined the times set for them, and the exact places where they should live

(KJV) and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

The word determined means ordained, or willed beforehand. We have no control where God places us, he determines the times set for us and the bounds of our habitation.

The word time means “season”. This could be a season of crisis or blessing, we have no control over the times that he has given each of us to go through good or bad. We do not control the time, the bounds or limits of our habitation, He determines that, or ordains that for each human being.

The word bounds, or exact places means exact limits or boundaries he has placed them in.

He gives each of us our own limits we live with and through. Some have more than others but all bounds or limits He has given each human being because He is drawing them to Him, it is up to us in how we respond to our limits or places He has put us in.

This means our Father engineers our births, environments, our crisis, or blessing each of us are born into, or live through for His purpose of giving every human being an opportunity to seek him and perhaps find Him, so they can live through His provision.  Why would God cause us to suffer in the time he places us in, or give us our own limits in this life?

NIV God did this so that men would seek him, and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

(KJV)That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us.

God placed us in our time, and gave us our limitations in order that we might seek Him, feel after him and find him through Christ. A natural man is made to need God, but they do not know they need God, so through suffering a man’s limitations or boundaries are revealed, and they have been given an opportunity to seek and perhaps find God that takes them beyond themselves, and their own limits. Is he far away from any human being?

No, He is not far from each one of us, but only through Jesus Christ do we know how close His love and presence is to us, and how far our love is away from Him. Only through His Spirit can we remain close to Him, and Him to us for His word to be dwelling in us as the Son was One with the Father we also are One with the Father through Him. Why? Because only through Him can we truly live, go where ever He leads without fear, and know our true selves.

For In Him we live and move and have our being.

This statement tells us when we live through His Spirit, He will move us forever forward by His guiding love and wisdom. We  know who we are in Him regardless of our circumstances, because we have our being, or soul in Him. Our soul is well no matter the circumstance he has placed us in, because in Him we have no limit, He will draw others to Him through us because we live and move in Him.

Some people today think human beings control the times and the places they are in by their determined will or choices they make. That would mean the righteous would make good choices and all good things would happen to them, and the unrighteous would make bad choices and all misery would be due to their own choices. This world would require no need for a Savior or the Cross.

For example, for the unrighteous in this world every time a person would make a bad choice in drinking excessively and drive then an accident would occur. Each time a person smoked they would get lung cancer. Each time an expected mother did drugs her child would be born an addict. Each time a homosexual practiced an act of sexual immorality they would become infected with the aids virus. Each time a person committed adultery they would get a divorce and their marriage would fail.

In this world, the righteous would never smoke, and they would never have lung cancer. They would eat right, exercise, and no sickness would take over their bodies. They would not commit adultery and their marriages would never fail. They would never practice any homosexual act so they would never become infected with the aids virus.

In the real natural world, we know there are some people who never smoke, but they still get lung cancer. In the real natural world, we also know many who eat right, exercise, and sickness still over takes their body, and mind in many ways. We also know in the real natural world people drink excessively, and do not get involved in a accident. We also know marriages don’t always fail when someone commits adultery, and others fail without committing adultery. We also know homosexuals that commit sexual immorality are not affected by the aids virus, and we also know some people are effected by the aids virus that have never committed a sexual immoral act.

God wrote Ecclesiastes through Solomon or through another wise man to prove how we fit into God’s life given to us through His Son. He had seen in his world what we see in ours, and God tells us who, and what we all should consider.

Ecclesiastes 7:12-13 Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: that wisdom preserves the life of its possessor. Consider what God has done: Who can straighten what he has made crooked? When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider; God has made the one as well as the other, Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future.

Ecclesiastes 7:15 In this meaningless life of mine I have seen both of these:
a righteous man perishing in his righteousness, and a wicked man living in in his wickedness. Do not be over righteous, neither be over wise- why destroy yourself? Do not be over wicked, and do not be a fool- why die before your time? It is good to grasp the one and not let go of the other. The man who fears God will avoid every extreme.

Others believe God controls everything and no freewill is required because he controls everything so it does not matter what they are willing to give up or willing to keep because His will, will be done, regardless of their will.  This too would require no need for the Cross because whether one believes in Christ or not would not matter in this world they believe in because they believe God’s will prevails for the believer as well as the unbelievers regardless of the choices they make.

This is “half true”, regardless of the choices we make God’s will, will be accomplished and done according to His purpose and plan for all Heaven, earth, and that includes all the inhabitants on earth, but those who do not receive Jesus Christ will not know His personal will, and plan for their own personal lives, and will not be able for their souls to be a live in Him, and through them now and for eternity. Those who freely receive Christ and willingly have received all they have been given by Him, and they will freely give to others whatever they have received from Him doing His will for their lives. They all know God and His perfect will for their lives because they have submitted all of themselves to Him everyday of their lives.

Matthew 10:7 As you go, preach this message: The kingdom of Heaven is near, Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

This does not mean His children who are living in, and through Him will not be disciplined by Him through hardships. This is not Satan trying to destroy his children has some may be taught, and it is not God engineering His children to suffer for no reason or His purpose behind it. This is God disciplining his children as our Father because He loves us. He will use anything He chooses to discipline us if it makes us more faithful, holy, and dependent on Him.  He knows what will move us to submitting more to Him. He desperately wants to work in and through us for our good and the good of others.  He knows who will submit more of themselves to Him through His discipline and who will not. We can either run from Him or run to Him by submitting more of ourselves to Him by the faith He gives us.

Hebrews 12:9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful, later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

His discipline produces a harvest of His righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it, but for those who have not been trained by His discipline they will not produce His righteousness and have His peace.

God teaches us through Paul many times without holiness no one will see the Lord, and this is what our Father’s discipline is aimed in producing in, and through His children. He arranges these hardships in our lives for His purpose of making us a people of His very own, because He knows what is best for us so we can live in and through Him, be healed by His power and grace that produces in us His holiness.

Today do not listen to people who tell you God does not arrange, or engineer our hardships. If He is your Heavenly Father than He will, and if He isn't than you are not His child. He does for all of us because he wants us to reach out to Him as His child, and perhaps find Him, so we can live in Him, move in Him and have our right being in Him by all He gives us of Himself to live in and through each day!  He is a great Father that engineers everything for our good!!

What is Godly sorrow, and why do we need it?

What is Godly Sorrow, and why do we need it?

Are we becoming a stumbling block to Jesus because we have things of men, and this world on our mind above Him?

Matthew 17:23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.

Today many are proclaiming the “God of love”, and rightly so, He is love. His love is much higher than ours, it changes us, it judges us, and it separates us from the world we live in to be used by Him and through Him for building up His Kingdom. The world cries out no division, no Godly sorrow, and all are loved by God no matter how we respond to Him and the Cross.

God cries out throughout His word and through His Spirit in His First Son, Jesus Christ, “Repent or parish. Jesus tells us through the words His Father gave Him “I have come to bring division” between natural man / and spiritual man, between Satan, the god of this world / and the God of My Kingdom. There are only two kingdoms and two gods we can choose to worship, and there is only ONE of those gods that divides the whole human race. Either you worship Satan and humankind, or God and His Kingdom.

Matthew 4:17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.

Luke 12:49 “I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to undergo and how distressed I am until it is completed! Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.

This word of God reveals to us through Matthew from the beginning of our Lord’s ministry he never stopped preaching repentance to all because His Father’s Kingdom was near.

He never stopped preaching this until God’s work in and through Him was finished at the Cross. When His presence is fully in us due to our total surrender in faith through His Spirit working as He worked through His Son we too will preach this for ourselves and others until His work in and through us is finished. Some will repent and others will not, this will cause a division among the world, and among families.

The world tells us there is no need for Godly sorrow, judgement, or conviction of our sins. All the world tells us we can change on our own, and there is no Godly sorrow we need to keep us going in the right direction.

I lived most of my life not knowing what repentance meant, or what Godly sorrow meant. I was ignorant of this teaching so I walked through life unaware of his presence wanting to work in and through me. I do not want you to be ignorant because our Father does not want you to be ignorant of this experience that He gives all His children that He chooses, if you have not experienced within yourself the Godly sorrow His presence lays upon you then you have not been convicted by His Spirit of truth.

I lived most of my life being sorry for my sins, but my sorrow came from me disappointing myself, and disappointing others, but not from disappointing my Heavenly Father.  There was no conviction from His Spirit that gave me “Godly sorrow” which is quite different than our own feelings of sorrow, guilt or shame we receive from ourselves, or others. Godly sorrow is much different than our own convictions of doing something wrong, or not living up to our own expectations of ourselves or the expectation of others.

If we live by our own guilt or the guilt of displeasing others it will quickly go away, or be covered up by our own deeds of righteousness, or self-piety. We will repeat the same sin, or other sins repeatedly because we have no power in us to change us from our evil natures, or our own righteousness that we all are overcome by. The Holy Spirit convicts us all the time of our sins, and our own righteousness. He never stops or gets weary, and in, and through Him we will not either. Our Father tells us this through Luke records of what Jesus said.

John 16:8 When he (Holy Spirit) comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness because I am going to the father, where you can see me no longer, and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

The Holy Spirit will always convict us of our sins because we cannot believe in Him on our own, this is a good conviction because without Him we cannot believe in Him and be delivered from sin.

The Holy Spirit will always convict us of our good or our own righteousness.  He has gone to the Father so we can receive His. Without Him going to the Father we will not receive His Spirit that convicts us of our own righteousness, and our own righteousness will always lead us in the wrong direction.

The Holy Spirit will always convict us in regard to judgement because we cannot judge ourselves due to the sin within ourselves and Satan’s power over us. Through His given Spirit He judges us, and judges through us keeping us rightly related to God our Father which is the Son’s and Father’s same Spirit of truth. He is making us One with them, and He is the only one that has the power to condemn Satan and his work in and through us for his kingdom of darkness.

Many today are teaching there is no longer any conviction, or Godly sorrow from the Spirit of God through His children, and this is a wrong teaching. Many are teaching he does not convict us all the time, or He does some times, but not other times. He will always convict us because He is trying to make a people of His very own for His Kingdom. He will never ignore our sin, it is us that ignore Him.

The word repentance means a change of mind of past sins, past wisdom, past ways of following other human beings and their wisdom, past following of our own righteousness and self-piety. This means one wants to change their life, and quit sinning for their Heavenly Father’s sake and will, because they know through His Given Spirit they have sinned and are sinning against Him, not themselves, not others, but Him and Him alone. They have received a conviction through His Spirit.

Jeremiah 40:3 Now the Lord hath brought it, and done according as He hath said: because ye have sinned against the Lord and have not obeyed His voice, therefore this thing has come upon you.

When a child of God sins against the Holy Spirit of God they are given repentance in order for them to change for God by His power He gives them to change with. It is different sorrow one receives from sinning against oneself, or the “feeling” one receives from themselves or others high expectations of themselves they will never be able to live up too through their natural human goodness or evil desires, and both will result in wrong motives.

When a child of God is sinning against the Lord through His Spirit it is different than only sinning against themselves, disappointing their parents, friends, wife, children, boss, coach or teacher. When a child of God sins against His Spirit than His repentance given to them creates Godly sorrow, and Godly sorrow gives them an opportunity to bow down as a child wanting to be taught by his or her Heavenly Father. When a child of God through Christ bows down, humbles themselves as a child, His grace and forgiveness is given that takes them way past themselves in repeating the same sin over again, and they have the power to live for God and not for themselves, this world, or Satan any longer.

God has offered everyone repentance through His Son on the Cross, but not all will repent, or want to change their ways as they all did not the day Jesus offered repentance, and he denounced them publicly without fear.

Matthew 11:20 Then Jesus began to denounce the cities in which most his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.

The problem many "Christians" are facing today is much like what Jesus faced before His Spirit was given. Many "Christians" us are like Peter before He received the Spirit of truth, seeing Jesus as something for their own purpose in the world, and they are living through their own natural mind seeing their own purpose for him, through their own “feelings,” as Peter did.

Without His Spirit given to Peter, Peter would have never saw Jesus as He truly was. Peter loved Jesus very much, as much as he could naturally, but it was only by what he knew naturally through Peter’s own mind being a natural man, and seeing the world through his natural mind, and not seeing the plans of God through the mind of Christ, because he couldn’t. Jesus rebuked Peter for His own good because Jesus loved Him, and He would rebuke him again and again. Peter had not received His Holy Spirit when he denied him three times. Jesus in turn asked Peter three times if He loved Him. This was not for Peter to prove to Jesus he did, but for Peter to prove to himself that He did, and if he did, he would feed his sheep. Which He did feed his sheep without hesitation, because the feeding of His sheep came through His Spirit. He was heart broken when he denied Jesus, but not truly changed by Godly sorrow that leads to salvation until He received His Spirit of truth.

Many today form Jesus the way they want to perceive Him as Peter did, a loving friend to save them from the rulers of this world, a loving brother to conquer their enemies by his miracles and power, or neighbor willing to change the world without His word, judgment, or truth they can only receive through His teaching, loving Spirit of truth.

Many "Christians" today are living by their “natural feelings” as Peter was, and not His Holy Spirit of truth that revealed God's will and purpose that truly changed Peter to do His will and not his own. We are all emotional natural human beings with strong emotions, and desires. We are loaded down with natural feelings disguising His true presence as Peter’s feelings disguised his as being something real from God.

Peter received the Spirit of God and knew it was given to convict him, and divided his natural righteousness and evil desires from the nature of God correctly.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samara, and the ends of the earth."

We all must receive His Spirit that goes much deeper than our feelings and emotions to hearing His voice as if He was sitting right beside us. He gives us all we need to control our feelings and emotions as we hear His voice molding us and shaping us to be His children everyday through His given word of truth that is dwelling in us that opens up his written word.

Godly sorrow is not our natural “feelings” of sorrow from our sins, it is a given gift of God to bring us to where He wants us to be as a loving Father. Jesus tells His disciples

Matthew 11:27 All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.

Jesus chose Peter, and knew Peter would respond to His given repentance the right way, bowing down to Him, wanting to change his ways, for the sake of Jesus, because he knew he sinned against Him, not himself or others, but against Him and Him alone.

That is why He was chosen and that is why we are chosen today, because God knows who will repent and change because they have sinned against Him through His Given Spirit, they have been convicted by His Spirit of truth.

The same way His Spirit worked in and changed Peter from his natural feelings to God’s nature that surpassed his feelings of conviction into hearing God’s voice of truth that changed Him through the Spirit's convicting work.

God gives us a great description of His gift of repentance through Paul, and what it is given to us for. His repentance is given each time we do sin, and it changes us from continuing to live in sin. Today many do not live by His given, loving and gracious repentance. Many think it is a bad thing to live by God’s gift of repentance, and many today are nullifying this truth of what it means to live with God’s gift of repentance, because they do not want to feel guilty of sinning against God. They have created another teaching and another gospel to live by, and it is deceiving many with no Godly sorrow that brings repentance and leads them to salvation.

(NIV) 2 Corinthians 7:10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that lead to salvation and leave no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 11 See what his godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point, you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter.

(KJV)7:11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

Godly sorrow through His Spirit produces or manifest many things within ourselves. It is a perfect work God works in us and through us for others.

1)    Godly sorrow brings repentance or a change of heart for His purpose of His Spirit working in us, and through us.
2)    Godly sorrow through His Spirit  leads to our salvation with NO regret, only mercy and forgiveness.
This is so true, only forgiveness and grace is given to His children through Christ, that teaches us to say no to ungodliness, there is no regret that keeps us down. There is only grace that lifts us up.
3)    Worldly sorrow, which is our own sorrow and guilt, or others guilt and shame Satan uses, it brings death, no change within ourselves only regret, worry, anxiety, doubt, confusion, despair and hopelessness.
Worldly sorrow is what I lived through during my youth, teens, and twenty-nine years of my adult life. I know what worldly sorrow is and how it can deceive many into self-piety or their own righteousness that can never save them.
4)    Godly sorrow through His Spirit produces in us the earnestness or carefulness of the Spirit of Jesus. We are careful to make sure we are following His word through His teachings and not the teachings of man or of this world. This is produced, or wrought (accomplished) in us through His Spirit.
5)    Godly sorrow through His Spirit produces in us a eagerness to clear ourselves if we have offended God, we are not to prideful in speaking His truth if we have offended Him, or if we have not we are eager to prove we are His children and no longer are conformed to this world.
6)    Both KJV and NIV say indignation is produced by the Godly sorrow through His Spirit. This is a righteous anger that arouses within the child of God because of something unjustly has been committed against them or against someone else. This is not an uncontrollable anger, but one that speaks passion and truth for the benefit of all. Jesus experienced this type of anger from the Spirit of God many times when rebuking His disciples, the Pharisee's, the Roman government, and with the people of his home town.
7)    Godly sorrow through His Spirit also produces fear, or alarm within a child of God. This is a fear of displeasing God, and it is like an alarm going off in one’s heart they need to answer quickly. Jesus experienced this briefly in Gethsemane in a way none of us can understand, fearful of taking on all the sins of the world, and he was refreshed quickly by angles of God through his prayer, and was able to continue as God's Holy Son taking on all the sins of man upon himself. We also will be refreshed by unseen angels of God through His given Spirit when we face any fear through our prayers.
8)    Godly sorrow also produces a longing, or vehement which is a great force of energy to be right with your Father above all others and things in this world. This is the consuming force of his love that takes a person past themselves, others and things this earth is consumed by.
9)    Godly sorrow also produces through His Spirit a passion for God's judgement to be carried out above all things and people in this world so they can be ready to complete God’s work in them and through them. They are deeply passionate about seeing His judgment carried out any way God has arranged for the building up of His kingdom that takes them beyond themselves and this world.

Those who have fully surrendered to God, as God says through Paul, all of these behaviors, longings, and desires will be manifested in them through His Spirit given them Godly sorrow as they were mainfestied in these church members in Corinth Paul wrote too.

Many “Christians” are teaching that God no longer produces this in a person, they claim He is kind and ignores our sins as if there were no Godly sorrow needed within us anymore because God is “loving and kind” and does not produce any Godly sorrow in them. This is not true, without Godly sorrow there would be no conviction of sin against God that leads to repentance and is needed for our daily walk of salvation. We will never change without Godly sorrow, and without the Cross we cannot receive Jesus through the Godly sorrow and repentance Jesus gives us that keeps us denying ourselves and carrying the cross He gives us daily through His Spirit of truth.

Many people do not receive God's truth about His sorrow being a part of His love for us that grants us repentance, and a changed life to live for Him and His New Kingdom.

If you are living through your own feelings of sorrow, and you want to receive His repentance that truly gives you Godly sorrow so you can change by His power and grace, ask Him today, speak to Him as a humble child. If you are not hearing God’s voice daily, and only living by your feelings ask Him to help you receive Godly sorrow so you can truly repent and change through His convictions that work in and through you daily as He speaks personally to you everyday as your relationship with Him develops.

Tell Him you want to hear His voice speaking to you, and not only go by your natural "feelings" but hear His voice of convictions, and you may hear Him like you never have before!

Are we willing to suffer persecution because of God's Word?

ARE WE WILLING TO SUFFER PERSECUTION?

Today we are going to discuss ONE of the reasons our Father reveals why His children suffer through many trials and tribulations. There are many reasons we suffer through being His chosen children through Christ as we continue to give up more and more of ourselves to Him every day for HIS SAKE. It is the suffering of persecution many of us do not want to be a part of, and if a child of God does not want to experience this type of suffering, God tells us they cannot be a part of His full blessings in Christ and continue to grow in Him.

These powerful deep words from Jesus through the Holy Spirit that were recorded by John speaks volumes as why followers of Christ are persecuted. Many today do not get persecuted because they think they are higher than Him, or fear sets in because they are afraid they will lose more than they will gain. If He is working in and through a person they will get persecuted by those who are worldly whether it is a believer that still lives partly in this world, or an unbeliever that is fully part of the world. These words He speaks to his first disciples live in each child that has fully surrendered to Him.

John 15:18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

John 15:20 Remember the words I spoke to you: No servant is greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me.

If a person is loved by the world Jesus says that is a good sign that they belong to this world and not His Kingdom. If the world loves a person, or the person loves the world then how can they be a part of His? He takes us out of the world and separates us from it, but many “Christians” today act as if they are still part of it. He tells us if a person obeys His teachings, then others will obey his disciple’s teachings because they are One teaching the same things He taught through His Spirit.

Many today do not live by or follow the teachings of Christ, they follow the world and man-made traditions, and they do not get persecuted for the same reasons He did. I often wonder if that was one of the reasons Constantine, the Emperor of Rome, combined the pagan beliefs with the Christian beliefs so the world would not persecute him or his government because he wanted to still be connected to this world and his own beliefs.

Many of us know the persecution from the Jews, the self-righteous “religious” people, and from the Roman government Jesus our Lord experienced. They did not receive God’s grace through Christ because they never accepted Him.

John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, (only begotten) who is at the Father’s side, had made him known.

Many today do not take that step of faith letting Him speak and walk through them, out of fear of losing a relationship, their popularity, their accomplishments, social status, and ignore Him, and His presence they can’t see, just like the Pharisees, and the Roman government did. In my last blog, we discussed in detail what a person would have to give up if they were willing to follow Christ. Today we are discussing what we all must face and endure when we do give up all for Him.

Matthew 5:11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in Heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

There was no way Herod or Pilot would of gave up their standing in their government for Christ or for God. It was far too important to them to humble themselves before God and surrender to the teachings of Jesus.  That is why God chose them, he knew they would never surrender to Christ. He knew that the Pharisee, Sadducee, and the Sanhedrin during the time Jesus walked the earth proclaiming the Good News of God’s NEW Kingdom they would never surrender to Jesus and give up their standing in their religious circles, in their synagogues, and in their high standings in their government, and that is why God placed them to live during that time.

He knew who to choose for His disciples, even the one that would betray Him, because he knows the ones who are going to endure persecution, and the ones that are not, and they all had a purpose in fulfilling His Father’s prophesy. Today is the same, He still knows the ones that are going to surrender their lives wholeheartedly for Him, endure persecution no matter the cost, and stand the test of persecution without being shaken to complete the growing up of His sons and daughters during this time He has placed them in.

The god of this world, (Satan) and his army had their eyes and ears blocked, and they had no intention of wanting them unblocked, and God knew it. Today, as it was then, he has blocked many ears as Satan did then, and many are making it easy for him too. When a person is not willing to humble themselves through the sufferings of Christ through persecution it will hinder their walk and perfect will for their lives.  Jesus tells this to the masses through His parable of the seed, and through his circumstances and other relationships our Father gave him, or placed in front of him.

Jesus lived to do His Father’s will, for His Father’s sake. He laid down His life for God above his family, friends, and government. All during His ministry he was refreshed by His Father through prayer. His Father sent angels to refresh Him because Jesus was the first Holy Son that came from God willing to give a full and total unwavering Heart of Himself completely to His Father without sin.

Jesus Christ was willing to let His Father speak through Him, He was God’s Word in the flesh walking among us through His Holy Spirit. He was not speaking to condemn us but to save us. He spoke those bold words to the Pharisees to save them from themselves and the false teachings that had developed through the law they were living out. Do you want to know Christ and have fellowship with His sufferings, or do you want to live your will for others or for yourself so you can still be a part of this world?

The Pharisees wanted no part of the sufferings for Christ they wanted to keep their high standings in the community. Paul wanted to know the sufferings of Christ, and through His Spirit we will too if we do not fall away when persecution comes.

Philippians 3:10 I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Through the same Holy Spirit, we will want to suffer as Christ suffered as Paul proclaims through persecution, that is the suffering Jesus suffered. We know Paul truly did suffer through a lot of persecution because He did His Father’s will and not His own through the Holy Spirit of His First Son. We who have experienced the sufferings of Christ know by suffering as He suffered we are being blessed by His power of His resurrection growing in us lifting us up in Him past where we were.

I am not talking about the severe persecution that goes on around the world. There are different measures of persecution we all must face, and that depends on where He has placed us.  Not many today want to suffer the sufferings of Christ at any level, and because of that they invite many other sufferings that are needless, and do not grow in Him as He wants them too.

Many of us are taught many lessons from God through “The Parable of the Sower”, and I have learned a great deal about our human nature, the Son and the Father through this amazing parable. Jesus had to deal with a lot of people whose hearts had become calloused toward him when they heard His message of truth HIS salvation was proclaiming to all people.

Today this parable still speaks His truth and still others respond to it the same. God’s word through Luke’s record keeping explains the meaning of the parable from Jesus to His twelve disciples. Gods’ word through Matthew’s record tells us what this “testing” in Luke’s record is.

Luke 8:11 “This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.

Luke 8:13 “Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.

Matthew 13:20 The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away.

In Matthew’s record, he calls persecution a test, and in Luke’s record he calls testing persecution. We can receive through both records we know God test us to see if His word is dwelling in us, He will speak His words through us for the building up of His Kingdom, or we will fail the test, and not allow Him to speak His words through us. Are we failing the test or are we letting Him freely speak through us for the building up of His Kingdom?

He will always test us if we are pouring out what He has poured in for the building up of His Kingdom. He does not want any of His children to be ignorant of who He is and why He came.  We will always be persecuted in some way, and through this test of persecution some of those that hear the word will stay and continue to bear His fruit for His purpose, and will, and some humans will fall away because they want to live their will for their lives. They are not willing to lose their standing in their community, a child, friend or family member, or quite possibly their job, so they quickly fall away.

Who we are living for will always be proven through God’s word, and it will always separate us from the sin within ourselves, and from the world. It will always be because of God’s word that His true children are being persecuted. Many “Christians”  think they know God but truly Jesus says they do not, because if they did they would be listening to His word, and His teaching and not follow others and their teachings. Today He speaks the same through us as He did then.

Each of us can reveal this human nature driving us Jesus is describing in this parable. Any of us can continue hearing God’s word with joy repeatedly rejoicing, and we can repeatedly fall away because of fear of persecution. Instead of freely speaking we have more fear of losing a relationship we can see, then losing His relationship we can’t see.

The good soil is a heart completely devoted to God, that person hears the word, understands it, because He is above all in their lives so He gives them the understanding of it, and they produce a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

God knows who is fully devoted to Him, He knows who truly put Him and His word above all things and all people, and He knows whose heart will bear His fruit just like He knew His first disciples and those who would betray Him. Which one are we, the one that continues to fall away because of persecution, or the one that is fully devoted to Him above all?

God tells us this through our blessings and woes through Luke’s record of the words of Jesus we all will experience persecution from many, and on many different levels, but like then, are we willing as the did to suffer persecution as He suffered on all levels. Are we willing to be those who are blessed by Him or one He looks at with piety?

Luke 6:22-26 Blessed are you when man hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.

23 “Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in Heaven. For that is how their father treated the prophets.”

24 But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort.

25 Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry.
Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.

26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.

The word woe means someone that God pities, or looks on with piety because they are not rightly related to Him. For an earthly example, it would be like the piety of an earthly father looking upon his children after he had made a bridge for his children to cross above a pit of poisonous snakes. His children chose to ignore the bridge, and walk the way of the pit through their own understanding. To be pitied by God because one is not rightly related to Him after He has done everything for us to be, is a woe, and a piety I would not want any part of. His piety will grow into His wrath, a woe I want nothing to do with.

The woe’s our God is speaking of in this message are for those who are rich and never share what they have with others that would make them have less so others that do not have can have more for His sake

These people would never hurt for the hungry for His sake, or never mourn for the suffering of another or for the lost children of God for His sake.

These people would have all women and men in the world that spoke well of them, but they do not know God, and they would not be doing anything for His Sake.

They do it for their own sake of looking good and prosperous, and for the sake of others, but not for His Sake. These people that are happy and care free have woe’s deep within them they do not realize, because they do not have Him or know Him or His voice. They listen to the other voices more than they listen to His Voice which speaks through His word.

Why would people “hate Christians”, want to “exclude Christians”, “insult Christians”, and “reject a Christians name as something evil”? The wrong teaching, or the wrong idea of Him can cause us the wrong view of Him, and keep us from truly living out what He only can put in each of us.

Why would someone persecute people living in, and through Jesus Christ as being something evil in the world? Why would anyone think He is evil, think His followers are evil, be crucified, beheaded, and persecuted in many ways?

Like always we will ask our Heavenly Father through the Holy Spirit of His Son, and He will answer. Jesus talks to a Pharisee called Nicodemus that came to visit him at night in secret because Nicodemus was more fearful of losing his relationship among the Pharisee’s rather than losing His relationship with God the time this conversation takes place.

This statement Jesus tells Nicodemus is why many do not turn to him, reject him, hate him,  insult him, and the same reason still applies today if He is working in us, and working through us. If He is working in a person, and through a person the same persecution He received we will receive on all levels He did.

John 3:19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who dos evil hates the light, and will not come in into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth (the Spirit of Jesus) comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.

Jesus tells us in this statement when we receive His light HE exposes the evil that is within all of us, there is no exception, Jesus said His light has come into the world, not only shown to a few but to the whole world. Some will love darkness, and want to remain in darkness. Others will be ignorant to His truth for other reasons not because they are deliberately being disobedient but they are being deceived and living through a lie, and the illusions of truth.

Jesus is the judge or the verdict that came into the natural world that exposed every natural human being’s deeds, thoughts, and motives, whether good or bad, they were all evil in God’s sight. All natural men have no good motives. He wants to give all the world His light of truth through Christ for all to live through, but not all want to listen and obey His light of truth, they still want to remain in this world, and not be a part of His.

How does a person respond when He comes into them and exposes their evil sinful nature? They have two responses either they can live through His truth that exposes God’s work in and through them through His given Spirit, or they can remain in darkness, and those that remain in darkness or want to remain in darkness will not like Him. They will persecute the person He is living in, in some way, not because of them in who they are, but because of Him in who He is through His Spirit and word.

Jesus explains his motives are different than a natural man's motives no matter how good they may sound to us to his brothers that did not believe in Him in another conversation God reveals to us through the records of John.

John 7:3-7 Jesus’ brothers said to him, “You ought to leave here and go to Judea, so that your disciples may see the miracles you do. No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world. For even his own brothers did not believe in him. Therefore, Jesus told them, “The right time for me has not yet come; for you any time is right. The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that what it does is evil.

We can see Jesus gets persecution from His own brothers because they are naturally thinking of themselves in their natural state of mind, so naturally they are seeing Him through their natural views, and naturally they see Him as they see themselves. They clearly did not know Jesus, His truth, motives or His deeds. They did not know why His Father sent Him, why His Father was performing all the miracles through Him, because they had not received His Holy Spirit that gave them the understanding, so they still had their mind on earthly matters, and not His Kingdom.

Through our natural human light, we will not expose the evil in us, or in the world for the right reasons, it will always be for vain purposes, so everyone can see how good we are, or everyone can see how good someone is. Jesus plainly teaches us to be careful not to do our good deeds in front of people so they will be seen by them, or known by them.  This His brothers did not understand, and today many have not received this understanding of how He works in and through us.

Mathew 6:1"Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in Heaven.

People get their rewards from themselves feeling good just like the brothers of Jesus was describing. Jesus knew where and who His rewards came from and no one could ever take them away. He was not trying to make himself look good or feel good, and he certainly was not doing it to make people feel good. He was doing it for His Father and He knew where His rewards came from.

The same words He speaks to us, when we see Him as only a natural man, or see ourselves as being only a natural person any time is right for us because we do not expose the evil in the world for the right reasons it will always be to make ourselves look good, not Him. He does expose the evil within us and through us in others, and that is why His children get persecuted as He did. Not because of who they are, but because of who He is.

Up to this point in time His brothers nor any of his disciples received any persecution that amounted to anything. When He was arrested, they did, but they scattered like scared cats being chased by a dog. After He resurrected He gave them His Spirit of truth, and they endured their persecution as He endured His, because the Father gave them all they needed as He gave Jesus all He needed.

At some point in our own relationship with Him we all will experience some persecution if we are growing in Him. Like Him, it could be from our own personal family members, body of believers, community, friends, co-workers, government rulers or authorities. God tells us through Luke’s account of another encounter with persecution Jesus experienced that came from His hometown.

Luke 4:24 “I tell you the truth, he (Jesus) continued, “No prophet is accepted in his hometown.

Luke 4:28 All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. They got up, drove him out of the town. And took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him down the cliff. But he walked right through the crowed and went on his way.

These people were not evil people in their eyes, they all did good works, were kind to one another, loved life, helped one another, went to worship in their synagogues, and loved God through man made rules and traditions.

Jesus told them the story of Elijah not coming to heal them in the days of Elijah when God brought severe famine throughout the land, and God only healed Naaman, a Syrian widow, because she believed Elijah was a man of God. That is when the Jews in his home town got furious because He was telling them the truth, exposing their sinful nature going their own way, listening to their own voice, and not the voice of God seeing Him as He truly was.

Whether they thought they were good through their own eyes, God did not, nor did His Son. They had no faith in Him nor in God their Father giving them all they needed, so He left without performing many miracles. He does the same thing today when we do not see Him as He truly is.

Through our studying of God’s word today we know why Jesus got persecuted, and we know why we do, when we walk and talk as He did He exposes the evil within us and through us as He did. We will have a heart fully devoted to Him as His first disciples so He can perform many miracles within ourselves, and through us for others, so people can be drawn to Him?

Will we be like His home town, and see Him in others as a mere human, and not God living in and through them as they did. Will we want to throw them off a cliff when they speak His truth to us, kicking them out of our lives because we chose to live in sin, or accept a lie that is not true.

Today in America, and in our own families it seems we are throwing Him off a cliff, and keeping what and who makes us comfortable in the world we have chosen to live in. Paul warns the church body in Thessalonian they will face trials of persecution and they were destined for the trails because they had accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

1 Thessalonians 3:2 We sent Timothy, who is our brother and God’s fellow worker in spreading the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith, so that no one would be unsettled by these trails. You know quite well that we were destined for them. In fact, when we were with you, we kept telling you that we would be be persecuted, and it turned out that way, as you well know.

He will test us with our children, he will test us with our parents, co-workers, church body, friends, and where ever he places us in the world if we are speaking and walking out His word in our daily lives. I hope this will help you past the test He has given you, and if you don’t remember today is a new day for all to receive His amazing grace, repent, change your heart to a willing heart completely devoted to Him so through Him He can work in and through you for others giving His blessings while you are being persecuted with his signs, miracles and wonders He can only give as He gave His first church.

Persecution will come but He gives us all we need of Himself to endure it, just has He did His First Son, disciples, and apostles that came after, and still are coming and living through Him on this earth. He gives us a heart to pray for them, and forgive them as we continue to speak and walk in and through His presence.

If those who are persecuting us leave our lives, or ask us to leave their lives as they left Him, or He left them. He will replace anyone or anything we have lost for His sake with His amazing grace that continually washes over us, not only for us, but also for them.

All people must surrender their lives to Him to work in and through, just like all His reborn children that came before us. He will never give up sending others to speak and walk in front of a person to tell His truth of grace and salvation if anyone else is not able because they have left, or He has told them to leave. We must always stand firm in His truth no matter the cost, and not compromise His truth for someone else.

He gives all His reborn children the heart to continually pray for his lost confused children, and those that persecute us for telling His truth. He will send others to be the answer to our prayer when we are no longer able to speak His truth to them. That is how he cares for the lost and confused souls His reborn children care about when He can’t speak through them. He will send someone else in our place because we continue to pray for all those who prosecute us because of His Word.

Are we conforming to the world, or His Kingdom?

ARE WE CONFORMING TO THE PATTERN OF THIS WORLD, OR HIS KINGDOM?

Paul’s letter to the Roman church urges, and beseeches, “Christians” in the view of God’s mercy, to offer their bodies as living sacrifices, holy, and pleasing to God. This should be all of God’s humble children through Christ spiritual act of worship everyday as they live. A living sacrifice is offered every day one lives, that is why it is called a living sacrifice because God wants to live in and through His children while they live now.

Roman 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God- this is your spiritual act of worship.

The word urge, is used in the NIV, and beseech is used in the KJV, and this word in the Greek means beg.  Paul was begging with all the compassion he could muster up for the Romans through God’s mercy to offer themselves fully and wholeheartedly as living holy sacrifices that would please God. That would mean no conforming any longer to the patterns of the world, or for their own desires and will. He was begging them because he knew if they didn’t they would not be pleasing God, and would not be made holy in the fullness of God through His Son’s image.

Paul wanted their minds, hearts, souls, spirit, and body renewed, and transformed by God’s truth, and He knew if they didn’t give themselves fully to God, He would not live in and through them for others. Paul knew if they wanted the fullness of God to live in them as He did through His Son the Romans and all Christians would have to fully give all of themselves to God.

This is not debatable, or something any of his children through Christ should be arguing about, this is what all of us should be offering to God, not a few, but all His children that have been offered God’s mercy from the Cross should be living out this act of worship to God through Christ every day of their lives. IF a person has not experienced God’s mercy from the Cross then they will not know what it means to give their bodies to Him as a living sacrifice and what that means.

God’s forgiveness through the blood of Jesus washes over a person when He draws them to the cross. It takes their weight of their sin off their shoulders, and washes them clean. His mercy reveals His love for His Son in their place, and in view of His mercy we repent, give all of ourselves to God, for His use to work in our body and through our bodies for His purpose.

Paul was telling the first Christians in Rome this was every child of God’s act of worship. This is the way each of his children worship Him, by giving themselves to use for Him to speak through, think through, walk through and live through. Just as He did through His Son He wants to do in and through us. Through Christ we are one with God as the Son was with God. Why?

Because God has chosen us out of the world to live in His Kingdom as a people of His very own. We are His offspring, children of the light, through His first and Holy Son. WE are not greater than Him but we will be like Him through His Spirit. For Himself God so love the world He sent His Son to die for us so we could be holy and true through His Son, and He could have and build a Kingdom all His own.

His Kingdom lives, and thinks totally different than this world does, and if we do not sacrifice our bodies as a humble child through Christ our minds will still conform to this world and not be renewed for His Kingdom, which is holy and only living to please God doing His perfect will, not our own.

John 18:36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews, but now my kingdom is from another place. “You are a King then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.

How many “Christians” today this moment, truly live on the side of truth and listen to Him? Jesus Christ is the only human that came from God, without sin, lived perfectly denying himself, no confidence in his flesh, bodly speaking and doing God’s will with Joy all the way to the end of His life to the Cross. Jesus was born from God’s Spirit in the womb of Mary, for God, and was to be used by God for His purpose of drawing all people to Himself through His Son.

Through Him we will be living to please God our Father the same way doing our Father’s will, for His purpose, denying ourselves, and carrying our cross, through His Spirit bodly speaking and doing all He did we will do. This will be done with joy because of all He gives us of Himself will work in us and through us for His purpose, as the Spirit worked in and through Him, He want to work in and through us.

His Spirit comes with His joy, and all the fruits of His Spirits were in Jesus are now in us. All of God’s words are in us, and speaking through us. Paul repeatedly says, not I but Christ does His work in and through me, I am being offered as His drink offering pouring out what He pours in so all can benefit from Him. Paul knew Jesus was in him, doing his work in and through him for His purpose. Paul knew he was sent the same way Jesus was sent, and through the Same Spirit of truth that was in Jesus, was in Paul and now He is living in and through us as He lived in and through Paul. But are we willing to give ourselves up like Paul did?

Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.

How do we test and approve of God’s will? By not willing to be conformed any longer to this world, and be willing to be transformed by God renewing your mind. This word conform means to comply with the customs, views, ways or standards of. The word transform means to transfigure, or change into. We must get to the end of ourselves and the end of this world if we want to be his disciples willing to be transformed by His wisdom, and presence. We must be willing to give up all the patterns of this world so we can be transformed for His Kingdom.

When we prove to Jesus that we have come to the end of ourselves and the end of this world He will renew our minds, and we will know His perfect and pleasing will. Many today are not getting their minds renewed because they still are conformed to the pattern of this world, and are turning away from His Kingdom.

Many are not consciously disobeying God, but they don’t pay attention to God.  God tells his children his instructions, but many do not truly pay attention to Him, not because of willful disobedience but because they truly do not love Him above all, and do not respect Him above all. He said, if you love me, you will listen to my instructions, and if I am your Lord you will listen to me, period. If we truly love Him and respect Him above all, we will listen to Him above all, and do what He says above all. God makes it simple, and we make it complicated.

Many think they are living to please God, but their lives, fruit of their spirit, wisdom, beliefs, and teachings they live by do not conform to God’s Word through His Spirit of truth. Many live conformed more to the pattern of this world, and twist it to conform to the pattern they want to live by and are not willing to be transformed by His Spirit of truth through His given understanding of His word.

How many of us today are too prideful, and set in our ways for our minds to be renewed by God? How many of us say, “I have lived this way all my life and I am not changing it for anyone!” “I have lived and others have lived this way for centuries what about all those people who have gone before us, are they wrong? Remember He is a God of the living, and He wants you to focus on Him, not others who have passed away.

The Holy Spirit desires to renew our minds so we can be right with God, one with the Father as the Son was with the Father. He does not take in account what people do when it comes to each of us, or who others follow above Him when He is speaking to each of us, and He does not want us to focus on anyone else either. He wants to teach each one of us personally by the same Spirit and renew each of our minds to the mind of Christ, the same Lord over all. We do not heed and attain what He says.

John 17:20 “My (Jesus) prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me, and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Through the Son can we only know God’s fullness in His glory, His unity, His mind, His power, and His love so the world will know God sent Him to save it. Today there are not many who are One with God as Jesus was One with God and it has a lot to do with being conformed to the pattern of this world, and being devoted to other things and people above Him.

He wants all His children to listen and pay attention to Him and Him alone, as His Son did, and that is what our Lord wants for us and His Spirit within wants for us. He wants us to focus on Him so He can work in us, and through us fully as He fully worked in and through His Son and His other first disciples His word plainly reveals to all of us. They were all FULL of His Spirit. His children quit listening only to Him centuries ago, but His children today can change that. He is constantly wanting to teach His children, and renew their minds, but we willingly must not want to be conformed to this world.  Many “Christians” today, as in Paul’s age, do not pay attention to what God teaches, they want to live the way that want to and justify the way they are living as following Christ going His way, when their way does not reflect His Spirit nor His word.

Many today take away from the gospel message of the Cross, and add different meanings that nullify the cross, and Jesus says, remain in me and my word and I will remain in you. Many have wandered away from His word, so Jesus cannot remain in those as He wants because they do not live by His instructions through His word.

John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Mathew 10:34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother -in-law- a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.  (Micah 7:6 prophecy)

God is telling us there may be members of our own family that do not love God above all, they will love this world, the pleasures of this world, and the pattern of this world more than Him.  His sword that divides us is His word, and there may members of our own household that his children’s enemies because they do not want to live by His word, they want to add to it, and twist it to suit their own desires, traditions, ways and their own teachings.

If someone does not live by His word He knows, no one can hide that from God, it doesn’t matter how one justifies it, He knows if we truly are following His word or not. God’s word is what divides us, judges us, and   guides us, strengthens us, and lifts us up. It is the only word that touches our heart and renews our mind. It lives in us and keeps us actively moving forever forward toward Him.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul, and spirit, joints and marrow, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Jesus plainly says we are in this world, but because of Him we are not a part of this world any longer. Many “Christians” today live by the pattern of this world, and say they do not, but by their actions, and beliefs they cannot deny it, but they still do.

John 17:14 I (Jesus) have given them ( disciples) your word and they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.

Many are comfortable where they are, and do not test their own actions, motives or why they do things. The Spirit of God continually test all spirits and judges all motives, and things that we do to keep us right, and through us to help keep our brothers and sisters right, but we do not pay any attention to Him. Many read His word, and say it is true, and say they live by it, but truly many do not. They add to His word, twist His word and then follow man made traditions and say it comes from God.

1 Thessalonians Do not put out the Spirit’s fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything, Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and He will do it.

There are many ways we can put out the Spirits fire, and many people do not realize it because they do not test everything, they treat God’s prophecies and instructions with contempt by ignoring His word.

Matthew 15:6b Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
“These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teaching are but rules taught by men.”

God speaks to us constantly through these teachings to renew our minds, to make us holy, and pure so He can work fully in and through us for His purpose. He wants us to experience the fullness of His Spirit as the first disciples and apostles did, and clearly many “Christians” today do not follow their example, or the example of the first churches with God’s many miracles, signs and wonders as they lived them out then.

Paul was a very prideful Pharisee, he had many accomplishments, and was looked highly upon by his Jewish family. He was favored by many in his Jewish community. He had many reasons to have confidence in his flesh or his own works. Many today think to themselves, or speak out loud, “What about the church I have been attending all of my life, what about my friends there, what about all I have accomplished there, would I have to give up all that to walk, and talk as Jesus walked, and talked?

Paul tells us he had many reasons to be confident in himself (flesh, works) his religion, and the popularity he experienced from all his work he did for God. Paul takes it one step further and says he had more reasons than anyone did to have confidence in his flesh for all the accomplished work he did all his life before Christ.

Philippians 3:3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh-though I myself have reason for such confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he has reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: circumcised on the eight day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for legalistic righteousness, faultless.

1)     He was circumcised on the eighth day (lived by the law)
2)     A person born of Israel (God’s first chosen)
3)      He came from the Tribe of Benjamin (One of the most highly respected, but smallest    tribes of Israel)
4)     He was a Hebrew of Hebrews (As far as a Hebrew, He was on the top of the list)
5)     He was a Pharisee (The Pharisee was a Jewish sect that started after the Jewish exile. In addition to OT books the Pharisees recognized orally a tradition and high standards of belief and life. They sought for distinction and praise by outward appearance, outward forms of piety, ceremonial washing's, fasting, prayers, and alms giving; and did not show genuine piety for the widow, poor and fatherless. They prided themselves on their good works, synagogue meetings and appearance, and their knowledge of scripture. They held a belief of a Messiah; and Him saving them from death and hell into Heaven. They possessed great influence with the common people. They were bitter enemies of Jesus and his cause; and were in turn severely rebuked by him for many reasons, their excessive desire for wealth, their fear of losing their popularity with people more than their fear of God, their ambition, their reliance on outward works, and their affection of piety to gain popularity.)
6)     He had a great passion for God, by persecuting Jesus Christ and His church
7)     Lived by the Mosaic Law, living legalistically righteous, and he did it very well, Paul was good at being good and He took pride in his righteousness. He was faultless living through the law.

We can see Paul had a lot to boast about, but he tells us whatever he thought was to his profit in days’ past, he now considered loss for the sake of Christ. His mind had been completely renewed at the point of this letter to Philippians. All his ideas, teachings, studies, worldly treasures, and pleasures he was willing to give up for the sake of Christ.

He goes one more step and tells us not only did he not profit from those things anymore, he considers everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus his Lord, for whose sake he was willing to lose all things. Today many are not willing to lose their comfort in this world like Paul was willing, nor the other disciples and apostles that gave up all they valued in the world that He built His first churches through.

Philippians 3:7 But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.  What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.  I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ-the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.

Paul considered not only were they no profit but a loss, and called them rubbish, (manure) compared to what He could gain from Christ and be found in knowing Him and his Heavenly Father. I can’t imagine Paul’s father’s response when Paul told his father all of what his father taught him through the law was manure compared to what He gained knowing Jesus, hopefully he responded toward Jesus, and not away from Jesus.

Paul would have no fear in telling him because he was  bold and fearless in speaking God’s truth to anyone for their benefit. He never would sugar coat God's truth to make it more bearable for someone to swallow, and we should not either. Jesus has a way of working out all of our pride so He can freely speak, and we can freely walk away without any anger or resentment if His truth offends them. Paul was the type that spoke God’s truth when he wrote and when he spoke, because He had fully given God all of himself and his life to use as He desired.

Paul was willing to sacrifice all he gained in the world for Christ. He did not want to have a righteousness of his own that comes from the law, or his own works, but he wanted the righteousness that came directly from God that came through Christ, by faith in Him from all Christ was giving Him was much greater than all he had lost.

Paul was willing to lose Jewish friends, Jewish customs, family, his religion, and all his previous thinking. He knew Christ was willing to give Him all, so Paul was willing to give up all for Christ so His mind could continually be renewed without any limits. He wanted to experience more of His power through His resurrection he knew was already in him. Paul could not get enough of what God was willing to give Him, and we are His children have the same opportunity given to us by our Father through His Son.

Today are we willing not to be conformed any longer to the pattern of the world like Paul? Are we willing to cut all ties that put out the Spirits fire from welling up in us to overflowing with His power and grace?  Are we willing to be strangers in this world and be children in His Kingdom?

Worldly trends and patterns are deceiving. Man-made traditions, no matter how good they sound they will not renew our minds, they will deceive and enslave us with illusions. God’s truth only renews our mind and transforms us correctly so He can work in and through us for His purpose. Who is truly willing to give up all as Paul gave up all to gain more of Him our Lord and Savior for Him to work in and through us in His full power through His Spirit as He did then?

If you are willing to give up all that is not God’s truth, He will begin taking you places through His many gifts you might not have seen within you before. You may see more of His many signs, miracles and wonders as His first disciples did.  You may have to lose more of this world you may not be willing to give up, but like Paul, what we think we have now will be of no profit compared to the surpassing knowledge of knowing more and more of Jesus. He is waiting to prove this to all of us, as He did then in and through Paul.

Father, help us to completely let go of ourselves, this world, and all the patterns, and man-made customs it lives by. Help us see your truth that your word plainly reveals, and be bold enough to live it out in our lives. Create in us the desire to be living sacrifices for you, so you can fully live in and through us continually renewing our minds so we can live in your perfect will for our lives. We want to know the full power of your resurrection that redeems us. Help us give up more of ourselves, and turn away from this world so you will increase more in us through your healing power and grace that prepares us for your Kingdom.  In your Sons, Holy name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Are we letting ourselves be sent as He was sent?

ARE WE LETTING OURSELVES BE SENT AS HE WAS SENT?

Are you aware of what you are letting in your mind, what you believe, and what you follow in the way of wisdom? Jesus continues to tell us to watch out how we listen, and what we listen to, and to recognize false teachings so we will not wander away from His truth.

Through His Spirit continually living in us He will always test, watch, and recognize other spirits. Through His Spirit we hear his voice He reminds us of His words to His first disciples. We hear His words as they heard them through His Spirit within us.

God tells us through His Spirit, we will watch, test, recognize, correct, rebuke, teach, admonish, encourage, and judge. This too me is the most important part of His love for us, because He is doing His best to keep us rightly related to Him, molding us, and shaping us to be a child of His very own that is pleasing to Him.

Through all His watching, helping us to beware, testing, recognizing, correcting, rebuking, teachings, admonishing, encouraging, and judging we are shown truly how much He loves as a good Father, Lord and friend that He is. Without His Spirit, we would be aimlessly following any man, woman, philosophy, tradition and basic principle that cheats us from receiving His truth. We who want to please Him, and do His will for our lives do not want to be cheated from receiving all He has for us daily!

God says the wisdom and mind of God can only be received through His Son, and no other truth, way or life can anyone know the mind of God, the ways of God, and the teachings of God in a deep and most profound divine and gracious way other than through His Son that He sent to earth for all to be cleans from their sin by HIS judgment, mercy, and love.

No greater love is shown in the world than Him dying for us, and cleansing a person's soul of all their sins through his mercy and forgiveness. It is a huge wait many carry around and do not know the weight of it, until He lifts it. Our Father has made a way for all to be more sinless by receiving His Son everyday through His Spirit of faith, grace and wisdom. But sadly many do not know this love, they do not speak of it or show it through their own lives.

God tells us no other wisdom, judgement, or mercy other than receiving Him through His Son can renew and keep us cleansed by receiving His righteousness. If a person goes by any other spirit, gospel, or follow any other way God tells us we will be cheating ourselves from receiving what Christ the Son and Father have for us. It is amazing that God gives us His awareness through His Spirit!

Matthew 15:6 Thus you nullify the world of God for the sake of your tradition.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

This covers all traditions of men, even the “good” basic principles of the world, what some may call “good” philosophy and “self-help”, can be deceiving us, so we need to beware of what philosophy, traditions of men, and basic principles of the world that may be deceiving us that we are following. Sometimes we are being cheated when we don’t even know it. What are we supposed to do, and who should we be listening to?

The words of our Father through Jesus that were passed down through John’s record proclaims the work we must do is to believe in the one He sent.  I truly did not know believing was a “work”, and it is not meant to be a “work” like we humans think when we think of “work”. You are given faith and it comes through Christ so to keep this faith, we have His work he does in us, and through us that keeps us receiving His faith.

“John 6:28 Then they asked him, (Jesus) “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.

“Believe in the one He has sent.”

The Father first sent Jesus Christ as Himself speaking and working through HIM, convicting the world that is how Jesus kept His faith because God was working in and through him for others, and that is how we keep our faith letting Him work in and through us.

John 7:15 The Jews were amazing and asked and asked, “How did this man get such learning without having studied? Jesus answered, “My teachings is not my own, it comes from him who sent me. If anyone chooses to do God’s will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. He who speaks on his own gains honor for himself, but the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

First the Jews were amazed that this carpenter, who was an ordinary man, not of nobble birth, and who had no “higher learning” would know such wisdom that He had about God. Jesus studied, but not through the ways of man, but through the ways of His Father. That is why He tells them my teaching is not my own, as if to say I did not learn this on my own studying the law, or the Torah, I was taught by my Father not through rules, and traditions of men.

Then He tells them as He tells us, if any one chooses to do the will of my Father they will know if what He teaches comes from his human flesh or from God. Then he tells them the one who speaks on his own, whether it be good or bad, gains honor from himself, but the one who sent him is a man of truth, He is free from all false hood meaning he was full of God’s truth whether it be good or bad, nothing false is in Him.

John 8:15: You judge by human standards; I pass judgement on no one. But if I do judge, my decisions are right, because I am not alone, I stand with the Father, who sent me. In your own law, it is written that the testimony of two men is valid. I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me.

This is another proof that Jesus was sent in the world by God our Father. Jesus boldly told the crowd they judge by human standards, because at that time no one could judge through the Father no one had the Father in them to judge through. Jesus tells us he judges no one through his human flesh but through the ONE who sent Him.

He does not stand alone, and He knows His decisions are right because He did not make them through his human flesh but He stands by what His Father has revealed to Him for His will and purpose. He then tells them not only does He testify his judgment is correct but His Father who sent Him testifies for Him too, and we know it is through His Spirit.

If Jesus was sent by the Father to judge the world what does that mean for the first disciples and us when we receive Him? After His resurrection, Jesus was seen by His disciples on the evening of the first day of the week when they were together, the doors were locked because they were fearful of the Jews.

Jesus came and stood among them and said, just has He says to us today through His Spirit, when He stands in front of us, as He did His first twelve, did Paul and all other people that He comes to, after they repent surrendering all of themselves to Him, and wanting to do His will…..

John 20:21 “Peace be with you!” AS the Father, has sent me, I am sending you. And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.

He gave all the authority to His disciples to forgive sins through His Spirit as He had to forgive sins, and he told them if they don’t forgive someone else then that person is not forgiven. This is one of our Lord’s most powerful statements for His disciples. Who are they that they can forgive sins? They are just men?

The same thing that was said to Jesus was to be said to them through His Spirit. They were sent has He was sent. For a person who has repented and received His Spirit He will give them the understanding of what these words mean, and we see it through all the disciples in how they changed when they received the Spirit of truth we too get that same understanding of His word, who He is why He was sent, and we are sent for the same purpose and reason He was.

They would know the Father comes in them through His Spirit and lives in them and through them as He did in Jesus. He testifies for us, He judges through us, He heals physically, spiritually, emotionally and intellectually us as He did them, and through us and He did through them.

They knew their decisions were right because they were His decisions revealed to them. The same way Jesus knew His decisions were right because the Father revealed them to Him, Jesus now was revealing His decisions through them.

Jesus did nothing on his own, He spoke what His Father told Him to speak, and it was the same for the disciples, they too spoke what their Father told them to speak and they did nothing on their own.

As the Father held up Jesus to stand firm, He now held up the disciples so they could stand firm. They lived out their lives in Him by all He had given them through His Word to follow Him, His life, crucifixion and resurrection through that same power that was in Him was now in them. God our Father sent them the same way He sent Jesus to draw more people to Him and the Father and through His Spirit, power, miracles, signs and wonders they all did.

Jesus is sending us the same way through His breathed in Spirit that is like the wind, we do not know where He comes from, what he is going to say, or where he is going to walk we just follow and hear His voice telling us what He wants us to speak, and how to walk.  Jesus was focused on His Father so the Father could reveal His truth, and through Jesus we too are focused on the Father so He can reveal what we need to speak and how we are to walk.

We are sent through His judgment into the world just as He was sent with His Father’s true judgment, rebukes, encouragement, love, gentleness, kindness, and the fruits of His Spirit into the world, and His judgment is given out of love, for our benefit in making us right and true through His Spirit, for His sake in making a Kingdom of His very own, and through us for all to benefit from.

Many in the world today, and in his "church" do not listen to Him, as they did then. Before the disciples received the Holy Spirit, they were stubborn to believe He had risen after Mary had told them. Jesus knew they were being stubborn and he was not afraid to tell them, and today many are being stubborn after many of his children speak His truth to them.

There is nothing Jesus could do for the stubborn people that remained stubborn, but He still rebuked them regardless because He loved them and wanted them to know that a stubborn heart against God’s truth will cause them not to receive what He has for them. His rebuke is a good thing, and only those who are not proud will except His rebuke. They were cheating themselves holding on to their stubborn hearts from receiving His truth.

Mark 16:14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating: he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

Sadly, His Spirit is grieving today as He did when some of the church went in the wrong directions as some of his disciples went and quit following him because it became to hard, and one did betray him and we see how that ended. I do not see the majority of His church today as the New Testament church following His life, crucifixion, resurrection.

The majority have followed, and allowed more man-made traditions, different philosophies, molding God and Jesus the way they want to, interpreting His word the way they want to, twisting it to suit their own life styles, continually sinning, not changing, but have a form of Godliness but not by His power.

I do not see the “church” today as the first church willing to change and do His will being sent as He was sent. The majority are sent, by their own power, for their own reasons, going their own ways, and many do not realize it.

If we are aware of any teaching, man-made traditions, philosophy, or basic principles of the world we are following that is not based on Jesus Christ, he gives us repentance. I will end with His repentance available for all of us to receive and begin again, or for the first time, asking Him to forgive us, and letting go of all that is not truly Him.

Those who have ears, let them hear what His Spirit speaks, unclog your ears, be willing to do His will for your life, and give up your stubborn hearts. His Spirit speaks what His life and words speaks, there is no difference. He is waiting for his sons and daughters to come to Him, and give up all that is cheating them from receiving the fullness of Him. We who are truly His do not ever want to cheat ourselves in receiving more of the fullness of Him; He never quits giving!

May His fullness dwell in our hearts everyday growing now and forever!

Are we becoming "soul equal" to Christ?

ARE WE BECOMING “SOUL EQUAL” TO CHRIST?

As I live and breathe through His Spirit He has given me the mind to wonder, and ponder all things in myself, and around the world as He does in all His true children. On this earth, I see many do, speak, and love for many purposes, and “for goodness sake” but is it for His sake? How can our souls be soul equal to Christ? Soul equal is mind equal. Many of us think we are going in the right direction, but are we?

Proverbs 16:2 All a man’s ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD.

A natural human being’s way may seem innocent, but a natural person’s motives are never for God’s sake in why a person will do anything. That is why Jesus came, through His Spirit a human being’s soul, spirit and body will be reborn with His motives lived out in and through them for others for our Father’s sake. The Holy Spirit lives for the Father’s sake and for His interest in other souls.

Today as it was in Paul’s time there are not many who live through God’s interest in other souls. Jesus Christ is the only human being that had the right motives for the Father’s sake, that is why when we have faith in Him, as Paul did, all our motives will be changed into the right one’s for God’s sake or the Son’s sake, it will not be for any other reason.

(NIV)Philippines 2:21 I have no one else like him, (Timothy) who takes a genuine interest in your welfare. For everyone looks out for his own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.

(KJV) For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ.

The word “likemined” is translated into the Greek word isopsuchos, and this word is used only in this scripture.  Many other words are used with like mindedness that represent same thinking and understanding but this word means something different, it’s definition reflects the soul.

The definition is “equal in soul”. Those who are in Christ know they need to seek the same mind set, and they know they can only do that through Him as He gives them the understanding of God and Himself through His Spirit that teaches them and gives them the understanding of His word.

This word, isopsuchos, means “soul equal” meaning no other person was interested in other souls, only Timothy. That is the only welfare in others our Lord Jesus was interested in.

If a person remains in Him their interest first will be in their own soul giving all to please Him for His sake. When God begins to work in a person through His Spirit, they will submit all to Him, then He will work through that person for other souls to be drawn to Him for His Sake so they too can begin submitting all to Him. This happens to each child that fully surrenders to God. Once you have surrendered all you then will be “equal in soul” as Christ was. Not many today want to surrender all, and this is what Paul experienced building the first churches as we do today.

He will be above all in your life, as the Father was in the life of Jesus and all who came after that wanted all of what He had in Holiness and goodness He could only give. This depends on each person in what they are willing to give up for His sake.

They will be “soul equal” to Christ and fight the fight of faith in Him giving their soul what it needs every day, and through them He will give what others souls need around them. All His children should be growing more, and more “soul equal” in Christ, and through Christ pouring out what He as put in, as each live in and through Him for His other children, or for the lost to know Him.

Not their health, not their families love, not their friends love, not pleasures of this world, not their homes, not their fields, not their jobs, not their success, not their income but their own souls and the souls of others will be their main interest because that was, and still is His main interest. That is why Jesus said,What good is it to gain the whole world and forfeit your very soul. (Mark 6:36) He main interest was the souls of people, and redeeming them.

Paul was telling the church in Philippi he had no one like-minded, or soul minded that he could send, but Timothy, at the time this letter to the Philippians was written. Paul saw, and heard everyone else was looking out for their own interest, and not for the interest in other “souls” being equally “soul minded” like their Savior Jesus Christ, but Timothy.

Today I see the same people Paul saw, me first, as Paul saw himself first, through what Jesus revealed to him, through God’s Holy Spirit of Jesus. Then Paul saw through the Spirit of Jesus that was in Him others that put their interest before His, and did not have interest in souls being soul minded as Jesus was, only Timothy.

Their motives were for the wrong reasons as to why they were doing what they were doing. It was not for Jesus’s sake, and through the Holy Spirit working in and through Paul He saw they had their own interest in mind for their own sake, and for the sake of others, so their mind had no “soul” interest. Those who have fully surrendered to Christ today, as Paul had fully surrendered to Christ in his day, see today in God’s church what Paul saw in his day through the Same Spirit. His church is lacking “equal soul” minded people interested in other soul's as their Savior through His Spirit.

Here are a few of His words that may help you realize who, and what you should be living for, and it is not for your sake, or for the sake of others, it is for His sake. Anyone can be complete in Him for their own benefit in being whole and true to themselves through the same Spirit of Christ and have His interest in other souls, so through you He can lead others to Him. Only through Him can a person be right and true, and through them He will be drawing people to Him for His sake in saving their souls, and through him souls matter, and they will matter to his children because of Him.

He gets the glory and the praise for all He has done in and through us for others. It is not I, and for my sake, and for others sake that I live, but Christ lives in and through me for His Father’s sake, and we give all glory to the Father and the Son for what they did for us as One God, through His Life-giving Spirit.

Matthew 10:37 “Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me (Jesus) is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever loses his life for MY SAKE will find it. “He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives the one who sent me.

Matthew 19:28 Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelves thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children of fields for MY SAKE will receive a hundred times as much, and will inherit eternal life. But man, who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

2 Corinthians 12:10 That is why, for CHRIST’S SAKE, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

We can receive many revelations from God through all these words He has given us to learn about Him from as He gives us the understanding of them. Today many people are loving people this is true, but many people are truly not loving God above all and losing their lives for HIS SAKE, but we can repent, as Paul repented, all the others that followed Him repented, and I repented and began a new life in Him, you can too!!

The word sake in the Greek language is heneka, and it sounds like hen'-ek-ah, and it means "on account of."  You can replace "sake" with "on account of." This is what a true Christian does when they truly have given their lives to Christ as Savior, Lord and Father truly wanting to please Him. The Spirit will guide them in doing all things for the sake of Jesus. If you are not I can fearlessly say He is not leading you. On account of Him all followers of Christ are willing to give up all things for His sake, just like He did for His Father, we do for Him and the Father.

I will quit smoking "on account of" Christ has asked me too.
I will quit smoking for "His sake" because he asked me too.

I will sacrifice my body to him "on account of" Christ has asked me too.
I will sacrifice my body to for "His sake" because Christ asked me too.

I will not love anything, or anyone of this world more than Him "on account of" Christ asked me not too.

I will not love anything or anyone of this world above Him for "His sake" because Christ asked me not too.

I can do all things He has asked me to do for His sake, or on account of what He has given me of Himself to do it!

He speaks these words to us personally as well as through the Bible. The Spirit speaks to us the same words that are in His Bible, and they are lived out, and heard daily. His voice is clear coming from within in a way that goes beyond our own understanding, and we know His voice. His voice will always lead us in the right direction, and His Bible explains what He is saying within us always through his life, crucifixion and resurrection. The Spirit lived out His life, crucifixion, and resurrection and through us He does the same.

We continue to repent when he pricks our heart when we are going in the wrong direction in word, thought, or deed. We begin sinning less, and changing into more of his soul equal. We who are in Christ can continually be “soul equal” as Christ was, making our souls our first agenda in being well with Him, and through Him His interest will poor out of us for other souls being well with Him.

He  wants to work in us and through us today as He did in and through His first disciples and apostles that received Him. When we begin, and keep decreasing He will begin, and keep increasing in us, and then pour out to others.

Losing our soul, and life for His Sake is what all of us must do to receive what He has waiting for us, holding for us, and wanting us to have. Through His Spirit we can only receive His knowledge of His love He has for His Father and His Father’s love He has for Him, that surpasses any understanding of our own so we can be interested in souls for His sake. If you have no desire to care for other souls then your relationship with Him is not the most important.

When we each get to the end of ourselves in knowing we cannot be, or do all of what we are supposed to on our own we will delight in our weakness for His sake, because we know through our weaknesses we will receive His Spirit giving us what we need to make us strong, and Him always getting the glory for our strength.

For me, I am weak in all ways, and I am delighted to be weak in all ways, so in all ways He gives what I need to be and do for His Sake, so I can find my true self, and the life He has planned for me. I have no pride in my flesh, nor self-pity, and that is the miracle of Him within any human being, to be completely free for Him to give, work and pour out into the world. Sadly not all in the world want or like what He gives, and that is because He exposes all evil, not many want their evil exposed, not many can give up all, and not many can love Him above all.

Many today do not realize when someone puts something, or someone above Him that is evil through God's eyes. When someone follows another wisdom other than His that is evil through His eyes. When someone rejects His ways and teachings that is evil through his eyes. When someone does not acknowledge Him that is evil through His eyes.

When a true child is close to Him He will prick their hearts each time they begin doing or following any of these teachings or ways. If a person keeps ignoring him after a while they will become numb to his pricking of their heart. Not because He has left them but because they quit listening to Him.

John 7:7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that what it does is evil.

Each obstacle, and trail is apart of his work on our way to completing ourselves as we live, and belong to Him. His work in and through us never will end on this earth until our body dies. You and I being obedient to all He ask is the key that opens the flood gates of His presence increasing as our journey is lived out. Those who are His true children never will fear Him exposing their evil, they want their evil to be exposed so they can live for His sake, and through His power they know He can defeat any evil that is within them.

Being a true child of God does not mean they are perfect people, it means they trust Him showing them and teaching them how their souls can be. He reveals in each person, and through each person all of what does not please Him, as well as what does, then a true child of God will follow His instructions through His power His Spirit can only give. All this is lived out through His Spirit. This was proven first through Him, and all others that followed Him, and now He proves this truth in His children today.

Take every sin to Him for His sake, and not for your sake, for your parents sake, for your children's sake, for your friends sake, for popularity sake, for your health's sake, but for HIS SAKE, and He will give you what you need of Himself to end it. Commit  every deed you do to Him for His sake.
Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

Take every wisdom you follow to be His, not man's for His sake.
Matthew 16:23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.

Take your body and commit it to Him for His sake.

Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship.

Take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ from the power He has given for His sake, and you will receive what He has waiting for you.

2 Corinthians 10: 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

If you have not done this, or began practicing these teachings of our LORD through His Holy Spirit's lead you can begin any time. Ask Him to forgive you for not giving Him your all, not putting Him first, or not beleiving He can defeat all the evil you are living in and through whether it is another wisdom, deception, or illusion that keeps you from receiving His truth He has for you.

He is faithful and He will complete every work you need within you, and through you for others to be drawn to Him. It is always up to us to attain what He teaches us, and not return to the evil we once followed that kept us from receiving more of Him.

He is waiting for you, ask Him to forgive you for not losing all things and ways within yourself for His Sake, and begin losing all of yourself for His Sake, and never quit losing yourself for His sake, and what you gain will surpass all you have lost because it was for His Sake! Your soul will begin and end being equal to His as long as you remain in Him, He will remain in you!
