Are you keeping part of your human nature, or have you given it all up?

Good Morning! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Our Father gave me a strong desire to share this with you. We make our salvation a process. Some of us say it is a process, different levels of maturity which is true. But the reason why this is true is because of our stubbornness and all the things we do not give up  all at once. We say a sinners pray and ask God or forgive our sins, well our sin is ourselves. We are not sinners because we sin, we sin because we are sinners. It just came to me this morning. A friend of mine said she accepted Christ at a early age, she cried and she felt his love or grace come over her, but all during her life she kept sinning and asking for forgiveness and God never left her. I asked her how she knew He never left her, she said she could look back and tell he was always with her. I asked her how she knew she was forgiven when she asked. She said she knew because that was what she was taught and that is what she believed. I ask her did she feel anything in side deep down, when she was forgiven, she said, "No, I just went on thinking I was forgiven and I believed I was because He said He would and I was told by my parents and preacher that He does. I asked the Lord this morning about this and He told me, many people receive my love at an early age, but they soon forget about it when a love of a boy or girl comes above His. A love for a parent comes before Him, a love for a sport or activity comes before him. He told me sometimes their dreams or their plans for their won life come before. He also told me my love does not come up above many people when the cares of this world gets in the way, people often forget about me and who I am.  I asked, "Does that mean they fall from grace and can not be brought back? He told me it could mean that, but it also can mean that latter on in life they remember my love, repent and I will forgive them, they did not learn first to remain in me, so my word and my love would remain in them. If they do not repent and keep going in the wrong direction they will continue to forget my love, and forever not change, but those that are young often do not know how to give up themselves in faith to me so I can fully live in them, so they give me a little here, and a little there, and never receive all of me so I can work through them, those people will be not living the plan for their life that I planed, the road is narrow, they may not ever truly know me, because they will have some of their sinful nature still guiding them. they will be still worldly.  He went on and told me this is all in my word to share with others. The level of our salvation is not because He puts levels on us it is because we put levels on Him by us not giving up our total self to Him when we first meet. He went on to tell me that we preach a prayer, a prayer that we have to ask forgiveness for our sins, and we list them and confess them. It is true the sin needs to be forgiven, but our whole self is the sin, our human nature needs to be forgiven and crucified with Him, not a sin here and there. He went on and told me He does not hold us responsible for our sinful nature, but He does hold us responsible for not receiving His life giving Spirit of grace. So on judgment day if you say to Him, "Father I could not help but to sin, that is my human nature, I prayed to you, I did miracles in your name, He is going to say, I did not know you. He is going to tell you He knows your nature if created it for His purpose of making Himself known, but He will tell you He gave His Son to you so He could defeat the sinful nature in you and then He is going to say, " I do not know you."  If it were not for sin that created the law, we would not need Him and His Holiness to make us like Him, and it must be our choice to give up sin for His love. Adam did not have what we have and know what we know, He had no knowledge of good or evil, the natural man does not know what we know or have what we have, He had no knowledge or power to defeat evil, but Jesus Christ is the image we must know to have Him and to know what He has, He has the power to defeat evil and to make us true Sons of our Father. We then become the image of the Father with his Son when we accept Him has our Savior, Lord, Father and God. When we do make that choice of wanting His love that kills all the sinful nature in us, we are free from all bondage as long as we continue in faith expressing itself through the love we have for Him above all else as our Savior, Lord, Father and God. He gives us a Holy Spirit to live permanent in us so we can know His love and our love for Him above all else, it will always guard our hearts. We know we die to ourselves a little everyday by denying our will, He takes us and uses us any way He chooses, and we let Him because our will has been given to Him fully, nothing held back, nothing still on the shelf, nothing remaining in us that He did not put there, this is what He intended to happen to each of us but it is our human nature that keeps us in bondage, follow our Savior and Lord by  crucifying it once for all and never take your eyes of Him and that crucifixion! I love everyone  with the love He gives me for you through every word and deed!!

Who is the catcher in the Rye?

Last night, I watched with much amazement a documentary on J.D. Salinger. I must confess I have never read the book, "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger, I do not have too now, although I might some day. I am sure it is an amazing story due to learning about the amazing man who wrote it. I wish I could sit down and talk to him, but he is gone from this world. I was drawn to his personal story more than I was drawn to the book, but realizing at the same time the book is his story. Always searching the truth and never truly finding it. Looking for it in people, places and things all around him much like his character's in the book that this documentary allowed us to know. This man that wanted his voice to be heard  but was always afraid of his voice being known. I think he wanted his voice to be heard  but he was not living the voice that he wanted to be known. He searched most of his life for answers in his mind to fill his spirit from all kinds of sources never feeling complete enough to walk out into the open world so they could see his completeness. Always living in fear of betrayal of his work getting out, but only to find out it was a betrayal of people finding out who He was. This fear I know of people seeing what truly is inside me. If you are a writer being drawn to speak your emotions and feelings but have fear of people seeing them, this would make for a very secluded life after you have revealed through your work who you truly are. The truth is always suppose to set us free, putting our true emotions out there, confessing them aloud, not hiding from them. But if you can not face the truth yourself, you will want to be alone with only your words and not wanting to share them with your closest friends and family. This is why I believe he did not want any of his work to be published until fifty years after he was gone, this would mean anyone that truly knew him face to face would be gone. I lived most of my life not wanting people to see the real me because I hid it from myself. All along he was thinking he was the only complete person in the world, telling the truth about everyone, he never faced his incompleteness within himself. He told everyone the truth about himself and everyone through His writings, especially in his amazing fictional book, "The Catcher in the Rye." After it's great success He hid from the world. I believe it was because of the fear everyone would see him for who he truly was. All along wanting to catch everyone before they fell, before they cried, before they became like him, but never being caught himself. After I prayed to my Father last night with deep compassion for this beautiful soul He had created with a voice that needed to be herd. I also knew God our Savior heard his voice  and loved it, but we have to know our Savior's love for ourselves before we can share our true voice with others. Our true person within has to know his love before our true person within can come out, without fear. He is the truth that sets all men free. This is the poem I am dedicating to Him today, I hope he hears it where ever he is. I know he knows it is true, but  this is for all of you that don't know He was trying to catch others before they cried, before they fell, not knowing he too needed to be caught. This poem is written by Vicki Gann, January 22 at 12:05 after seeing the documentary of J.D. Salinger the night before. If you have read, "The Catcher in the Rye" you will understand this poem and also if you know J.D. Salinger in person, know that I understood the man because of who is in me, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, he is writing this through me for all to know Him.

WHO IS THE CATCHER IN THE RYE

We want to catch others
all day long, before they
fall, before they cry.

We see the world hiding who they
truly are, always false, not realizing
they too are searching
to be caught.

Who are you thinking you are all alone?
Don't you know, you too are
still searching for a home.

There is only one that can truly catch us in
the rye. It is Jesus. So do not worry who
we are, when He has caught you,
we will be caught too.

Has "church" become the least place you feel loved?

God has put many people in my path that ask me questions about "church" and why has it gotten to the point that they do not feel comfortable when it should be the most comfortable place to be. I have prayed about this subject for the last two years, and during my praying life to God on this subject, He revealed some interesting relationships to me from my "church" organization. First of all, I must tell you that my church is the same as Christ's church, it is the people in my world that do the will of God, it does not matter where or who  they are or how they carry out their "church". From a house, a school gym, a mission field, a neighborhood, or a traditional church building. Christ said, "Where there are two or three come together I am with them. Of course He also said, "The Kingdom of God is within you" meaning where ever we go we bring the whole Kingdom of God with us and share it with the world. Most people that discuss this with me think the "church organization" has become a social "religion" club where people think of themselves as pure Christians and you have to be a pure Christian to enter. Kind of like the most "popular" Christian gets the welcome and the hospitality. I would rather be in a Christ led Church with three people that love Him and know Him than be in a church that has 10,000 people that do not know Him but love each other. The "church" God wanted us to have was a universal church with the same mind and spirit glorifying who He is in their lives by worshipping Him out of the love they have for Him, but as we know, His church has not turned out that way. From the start  there were great division that divided His church with one person believing this and another believing that and it has created one division after another. Now most of the divisions are now  called denominations. It has become where the non denominational churches have created a separate church with more rules to follow, but more people following them. Most people I talk to know there is no perfect church because there are no perfect people. I do not understand this comment when I look through the mind of Christ, of course their are no perfect people, but Christ is perfect and if Christ is leading your Church and He is your foundation, then of course your church is going to be a perfect Church. People will be building each other up, no condemnation, forgiveness, purging out the evil with the love and truth of God, people are becoming and desiring to be God filled Christians, filled with His love, peace and joy. With His ever lasting hope that never fails. Like God says be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect.  The leaders will be living a life with His light of love shinning in them, so others will be changed by it. There will not be anger growing, resentments growing, jealousy growing, condemning growing, self-reliance growing, and pride in themselves growing.  There will be no divisions in the church because everyone will be confirming or defending His presence in them building each other up, forgiving and worshiping in Spirit and truth. This is what a perfect church looks like, but they are far and few left, or maybe there was never many. I know a few and believe they are growing in number because the grace of God is growing and not by the understanding of people in their ways but through the faith in Jesus Christ and His ways. If you are at a church that is led by people that do not truly know God then you can change that church, and like Jesus said, you will recognize them by their fruit. If you are filled with the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit in you brought you to that church for a reason, you being a true child of God has been brought there for that purpose. It may take a while and you may get persecuted every time you go, stay humble in His love for others and yourself, and you make Him known by letting His work of love come through you by His words and deeds. Be bold when you have to be bold and be gentle when you have to be gentle, He will always guide you if you hold fast to Him and His love He has stored up for you for this very purpose. It will be hard, you may be lied about, yelled at, disliked, compared too someone you are not, talked down too, made fun of, and questioned. Hold fast to who He is making you and He will change that church through you!! Always show the fruit of the Spirit working through you so no one can point fingers at you and say you did anything wrong. If you do by letting your flesh come through than ask for forgiveness and be the example He has made you to be. Their deeds will be brought into the light, when you put your trust in Him. The true Christians in that  church will follow you because you follow the truth of Christ, and then all of you together will change it, with Christ leading all of you and all of you praising Him for all His work ! I have seen this happen and it is now happening as we speak. You have the power to do the impossible because the power to do the impossible is living inside you! The power of God working through His fullness in you! Jesus said, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. We look at this message and think it is for the "unchruched" but it for all the people who do not know His love because their lives are not changing from His love by them not living out His teachings and His commands. If you love Him you will be living out His love by living out His commands.  Remember to always have faith in the fruits of the Spirit God has given you to compete everything He has given  you, never take your eyes off Him and His work will be complete in you to share with others no matter where He sends you! I am sending you love, peace and mercy from the Father through me to all who are given God's Character to complete all of His challenges.
Many prayers,
Vicki Gann

Who are you?

My Lord has given me so much through blessings, but that is not as important to me as what he has given me through relationships by the Holy Spirit. Because through each relationship I know He is either teaching me something or helping me "unlearn" something. He is always taking away more than He is putting in because He has already given us all we need when He died for us on the cross, it is up to us to receive it. I thank Him everyday for showing me what I need to "unlearn" so I can learn more of who I am.  We all NEED him, we do not have to have him, he is not going to force anything on us, but we all NEED him to become who we were meant to be. If you are someone like I use to be that always worried, always complained about my life and the cards I was delt. Most of the cards I dealt to myself! Always tired of fighting within myself.  Always blaming someone else for making me feel the way I was feeling at the time. Not really sleeping restfully most nights. Using my humor to cover up many insecurities I had about myself.  Using humor to talk about people, cutting them down through humor or making a joke of their insecurities so I would feel better about my own. It was funny, it made people laugh, so I didn't  think it hurt anyone. Not realizing it was hurting me more than anyone else. I even used my religion to cover up my insecurities. I used working for the Lord to cover up all I was not. I thought helping people and being a servant for the Lord might make me feel better about myself enough that I would be who He wanted me to be, and others would see that I was being an obedient servant, and say good things about me. I just got tired, never really changing, and did not understand at the time what my Lord wanted out of me.  Finally after I had been tossed back and forth most of my life from one idea to another trying to find out who I truly was, never receiving peace always searching for that completeness some of us do not know truly exists; I found it! I now being the best we can be is never going to be good enough, it is only Jesus Christ that can give us that completeness. I can not tell you how many times I have heard people say, "I am doing the best I can".  I was one of those people, saying it over and over again. I bought cards that said it, and believe me, there are a lot of cards that say it! I know now our best of all best is not close to what Jesus makes us to be! Jesus was asked in John 6 v 28 "What must we do to do the works God requires?29 Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." That means all we have to do is believe in Jesus Christ and why he was sent. It sounds easy but when you learn who He is through the word, (the Bible God so graciously gave us to learn more about Him) it gets more complicated and most people give up and don't realize that we are given His Spirit to guide us and help us learn about him. Without the Spirit of God everything in this life is meaningless.  I know, it sounds like I am making myself more important than others that do not have the Spirit. If you have the Spirit then you will understand what I am talking about. If you don't, it is going to sound like I am making myself more important than anyone else.  I am no different than anyone else, I was probably a bigger sinner than most. This is why I needed Him more.  There are so many people going their own way today, interpreting the Bible the way they claim is the right way to suit their life style or their religion. Scripture says that it would be like this, I suppose it has always been like this. If you do your own research of the church you will find out for yourself. We now are going in all kinds of directions with all kinds of denominations. I only can speak for  myself and I do believe I am speaking for my Lord also because by the Grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. He wants us to be in unity encouraging each other through the power He has available for all of us.  There is one body and one Spirit, everyone has a chance to be called to the same one hope, the same one Lord, the same one faith, the same one baptism, the same one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. We do not keep the unity that God wants us to keep, we are too busy being "religious" and not focusing on the One God through Jesus Christ. We are focusing on other motives, other idols and ourselves. I lived most of my life without Him being my Lord and savior, now I am taking the place of the women that told me this several years ago.  I challenge you to get to know who he is through the Bible and when the Holy Spirit brings the word and Him together and you receive the Holy Spirit than you will truly begin to know who you truly are and you can quit being who you are not.  He will mold you like clay and smash you like grapes to create His pottery design and His poured out wine. Don't give up, the molding and the smashing of the grapes are going to be hard, depending on how much you need him.  I needed and desired all of Him and it was very hard for me. The hardest thing I have ever done and ever will do. I went through a lot of suffering and Godly sorrow that led me to knowing my Lord and Savior. What I gained will always be more than I suffered and deserved. It is an awakening within myself that is indescribable! I am receiving more and more of Him everyday! I will always try not to turn down or miss an opportunity He gives me to learn more about Him.  When your spirit becomes His Spirit you will see things through his eyes, mind and soul, you will be complete to live the life He intended you to live, for Him. Remember His life for you is what He created you for not the life you create for yourself. Always keep Him close through the Spirit and His Word, if you have been given the Spirit, you will know when He is troubled. He is bigger than anything you are suffering through. If you are someone that worries read your Bible, if you are someone that has no hope, read your Bible.  If you are someone that can't sleep for any reason, read your Bible. If you are someone that suffers physically or mentally, read your Bible. We have been given this life to praise Him and if you are not praising him in it, read your Bible. If you are someone you know you are not suppose to be, read your Bible.Give your cares to God because he cares for you. When he cares for you He cares so much better than we do!!! Read your Bible until you understand it or  until you crave it, which ever comes first. I am telling you this because I love you more than you could impossibly understand, unless you too love him and know him as I do and then you will know how much I love you!

Are you saved without the Holy Spirit?

I talk to people all the time about my Lord and Savior and we calmly discuss with love and compassion like Paul suggest we all do about our salvation.  We spur each other to wanting to learn more each day how we can serve Him better.  This topic came up the other night and I feel like I need to add a little more to our conversation after I got home and prayed, He directed me to the right scripture to help me say what He wanted to say.  His words are so much better than mine. Thank you Jesus!
Jesus says if you are not born again you will not receive the Kingdom in Heaven.  John 3v3 "I assure you: Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." So if you are born again do we still sin? Romans 6 v 10 For the light of the fact that He died, He died to sin once for all; but in light of the fact that He lives, He lives to God.11So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
I have talked to some Children of God and I ask them if they still sin and they say not every day but unconsciously I might and I always ask for forgiveness from my Heavenly Father because I know I am only human and because I am still human I may sin. There are people that are so close to our Heavenly Father and  they may not sin everyday but who are we to think they are right or wrong because God knows their heart and their life shows what they believe.  I admire people that love God so much that there life has been taken over by Him, they grow with Him in every situation, in every person they meet and decision they make.  We tend to not understand  those people because we think they are terrible because they say they don't consciously sin.  Romans 6 v 2 How can we who died to sin still live in it?
I know myself ask God to forgive me for each sin I commit and I learn from it through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit equips me with everything I need not to commit that sin again.  I grow through the Holy Spirit, I just do not keep on sinning.  If I do I have not received the Holy Spirit.  Romans 6v14 For sin will not rule over you, because you are not under law but under grace.
If you are someone that doubts all the time, worries all the time, jealous of someone all the time, shows malice or hatred toward someone, or expects admiration from men for all your accomplishments then are you someone that has the Holy Spirit?  Some think you can go on being this way and ask for for forgiveness and keep right on living the same and you are going to Heaven because you are saved by words "I believe in Christ", because you are baptized, and because you go to Church every Sunday.  Romans 8 v 3-5 He condemned sin in the flesh by sending His own Son in flesh like ours under sin's domain and as a sin offering 4 in order that the law's requirement would be accomplished in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.5 For those who live according to the flesh think about the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, think about the things of the Spirit
If you are always worried and always doubt most likely you have not received the Holy Spirit, but do not give up. Keep asking for His guidance and love and ask Him to help you with your unbelief, He will send you enough of His Spirit to overcome anything the world throws at you.  Remember what Jesus said in John 16 v 33  I have told you these thing so that in Me you may have peace.  You will have suffering in this world.  Be courageous! I have conquered the world."  The world meaning anything and everything that keeps us from God, including our flesh, meaning ourselves.
I use to worry, have doubt, guilt and was consumed by the worlds acceptance, then I decided to control my own world by my own rules in who I was.  I was going to be what I wanted to be and no one would ever hurt me.  That made everything worse, I was more lost then before.  I learned our best in ourselves is not good enough.  It will only turn into something else God has nothing to do with.  Our only salvation is through Jesus Christ when we receive the Holy Spirit.  This is my believing in Him and all of what He says and does.  1 John  4v13 This is how we know that we remain in Him and He in us: He has given assurance to us from His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and we testify that the Father has sent His Son as the world's Savior. 16 And we have come to know and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one whoremains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. If God is in us, how can we sin? So keep as close to Him as spiritually possible not humanly possible. Try to always remember like Jesus says in Mathew 19 v 26 "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
People tell me all the time we can not remain in Him so we do sin and we are forgiven. I am convinced like Paul, in Romans 8 v 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any power, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
A Pharisee (expert in the law and a religious leader) tested Jesus with this question, "Which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Mathew 22 v 37 - 40, Jesus replied: "Love your Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.  39 And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.40 All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commandments."
I believe if you do not seek to posses these two commandments you will not  receive the Holy Spirit. When I first started understanding these two commandments, and all scripture written since time began is based on these two scriptures, then I began understanding my Lord, and through His mercy of forgiveness I was given the Holy Spirit.  Now through the results of having the Holy Spirit my life has changed drastically.  My life is His to do with what ever He wants.  You must remember He loves us all, it is us that love Him differently.  I love Him every minute because everything I do is out of love for Him.  When I speak to every one, the work I do, through raising my children, and everything else in my life is a love prayer to Him for all that He has given me.  I have been reborn; from a daily sinner, a daily worrier, and a daily controller, to a daily lover of Christ, a daily worshiper of Christ and a daily follower of Christ. Through Christ I have been given a relationship with my Heavenly Father. This is what the Holy Spirit does, it gives you that relationship. Seek the Holy Spirit through prayer, reading your Bible and showing Him your determination of getting to know him through all distractions, put Him first and all other things will be put in there proper place. We all have the opportunity to be Gods children.  Like John says in 1 John 3 v 8 The one who commits sins of the Devil, for the Devil has sinned from the beginning.  The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the Devil's works. 9 Everyone who has been born of God does not sin, becuase His seed remains in him; he is not able to sin, because he has been born of God. 10 This is how God's childen- and the Devil's children-are made evident. So do you believe we are saved without the Holy Spirit, I do not.  I was taught this only through God teaching me not any other source. Thank you Jesus for everything you have given me and making me all of who I AM.
As always this is what God has taught me through my journey, let Him teach you through your own journey and we will meet someday in the same place!! I only write for Him so you may be enticed to get to know Him. All my love and many prayers to all who read this.

Do we have free will?

We are going through some believers in Christ thinking that we do not have any free will in any situation.  We also have some believers that believe we do everything ourselves.  I do not want to discuss different denominations I want to discuss our Bible, Christ and our Heavenly Father, which for me is all we need to discuss.  If we discuss these three divine persons and His word all else will be proven to our own spirits satisfaction.
I believe we have been given a free will to choose our Heavenly Father and their is proof in the Bible.  I believe God knows everything that is going to happen in life, I believe He creates certain things to happen in our lives to prove He is The Creator and has better control of our lives than we possibly can. (Thank you God) I do know through our choices and daily sin we create consequence our self that may produce heartaches and misfortune we may have to go through. Either way, if we sin and create consequences or He creates consequences, He will be there to guide us and comfort us through it, all we have to do is love him.  He loved us first but we have to love Him for His love to grow within us. He knows all but He does not decide all for us.  He knows if we are going to believe and love Him or not, but He does not make us love Him or believe in Him. Would you want someone to love you out of free will or would you rather make someone love you? If that was the case we would not be free would we? I am free, because I love Him!!
In the Hebrew version of the Bible there are 4 different variations of the word choose, which is used 246 times in the old testament. In the new testament there are 10 variations used 65 times which gives a total use of the word 311 times.  I believe if there were no choice for us to choose our Heavenly Father He  would not have used it and told us many, many times about how we are to love Him first, if we have no free will He would not tell us to love Him first He   would  automatically make us love Him first.  He knows who will love Him but He does not make us love Him.  He creates circumstances to know Him but we miss them over and over, I missed many circumstances, but when I finally heard Him and had ears to here and eyes to see I turned and He was waiting patiently for me. I am sure He got up set with me and was sad every time I did not respond to His call, but when I did, I know He rejoiced because I heard Him in my heart while I was rejoicing He was too!
God uses the word regret 2 times in the Bible.  When He created the flood, and when He appointed Saul King.  I know a lot of you believe the people chose Saul to be King but I believe the people wanted a King and God did not.  The people did not listen to God about how a King would not be able to lead them as He did.(Sound familiar?) He wanted Judges but they were mere men too, they did not follow in the Lords foot steps all the time either.  Samuel was the first Judge but He appointed His sons to lead after him and they did not follow God like there father Samuel did. If you want a good story read Samuel 1 and Samuel 2.  God picked Saul for the first King but the people chose the idea of wanting a King.  Now if God chose everything for us and was in control of our free will  and we had no free will, He would have done what He wanted to do not what the people wanted. It is written in 1 Samuel v16 Anoint him leader over my people Israel:he will deliver my people from the hand of the Philistines. I have looked upon my people, for their cry has reached me." He picked Saul to be the first King.  Saul however did not follow or wait for God to guide Him. He jumped a head of God and did not obey Him often. If there is regret there is sadness. If we do not choose, why would there be any regret or any sadness.  God wanted Saul to choose Him above all else so did Samuel, but Saul had other ideas and God hardened his heart because He knew Saul would never choose Him over himself.  God gave Saul many chances but He never turned to God, He only cared about himself.  David knew God had appointed Saul King, that is why David did not kill Him.  He had three chances to kill Him but David loved our Heavenly Father above Himself and let Saul live out of love for God because God had anointed Saul to be King.  Saul was anointed by God to be King. This scripture was written for us to learn many things from, freewill is just one of the  things we can learn from this.  Our leaders are human they are not God, every leader will make mistakes but they must love our Heavenly Father above all else.  He can only lead them into being a great leader, whether it is leading a nation, a family, or our self, God must come before all else then He will put Himself in your heart so you will never loose Him.  Thank you Jesus for choosing us so we can choose you!! It has always been our choice to choose Him after He chooses us, we can be like Saul, and God can regret ever choosing us.  Now with the Holy
Spirit we are sealed into Him, we have help that Saul and David never had! Thank you Jesus!! Please write me and give me your thoughts on this widely discussed topic.  God gives us all that we have and are, we have to let Him work within us for Him to show us who we are.  With out Him we are nothing.  I love you and pray for all to know Him. Jesus himself says in John 7 v 17 If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own.  Thank you Jesus, I love you so much!!! As always this is what God has taught me through my journey of getting to know Him.  You have your own journey with God, please commit so we all can learn more about Him through others.
Many prayers,
Vicki Gann
