Are you burying your mind and heart from hearing God's truth?

Sin, lies, and the wrath of God is not among many conversations today. We try our best to ignore talking about sin, lies we are living, and His wrath or discipline. We bury our heads in the sand when it comes to discussing what each of us truly should be dealing with among ourselves. There are many more conversations we desire to talk about that helps us keep burying the one we should be facing and talking about. Most people are willingly committing sins and ignoring His truth, and some maybe experiencing His discipline but they bury their minds and heart and do not face His truth, nor do they look to Him to tell them.

Romans 1:18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.

What happens to people who continue to ignore His truth, hold it back, or suppress it?

Romans 1:21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but there thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like man and birds and animals and reptiles.

  •        They knew God
  •        They neither glorified Him as God
  •        They did not give Him thanks
  •        Their thinking became futile
  •        Their hearts became foolish
  •        Their hearts were darkened
  •        They claimed to be wise
  •        They became fools
  •        They exchange the glory of the immortal God for                other images

This tells us that when we continue to ignore God and who He truly is because we are not glorifying Him in all we do and in who we are by His given image in Christ, and we also are not thanking Him for who we are and in what we are doing our thinking will become futile, our hearts will become foolish, and be darkened. We will claim to be wise but we will become fools because we glorify other gods as Him. This could be man in his own image, or anything we are putting above Him.

Let us look at some words to help us understand His meaning

Glorified – This word in Hebrew means to honor, celebrate, to praise higher than any other person or thing in word, and deed.

Thanks – being grateful for all you have has come from Him.

Because these people did practice either of these two principles through His given Spirit, they became….

Futile – this word in the Greek language means foolish, vain or empty. This means their “thinking” became foolish, vain, or empty.

Foolish – this word in the Greek language means without understanding, no intelligence, stupid. This means your heart will become without any understanding of who you truly are, your heart will become stupid.

Darken – without any of his light, can’t see through His sight, and can’t understand through His thoughts

Since God has told us what happens to us if we do not live by His truth, what then does He do?

Romans 1:24 Therefore God gave them over to their sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity of the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped served created things rather than he Creator- who is forever praised, Amen.

This scripture tells us if we continue to bury our heads in the sand and not acknowledge God in who He truly is, and if we continue not giving Him thanks for all we are and what we have been given He will give our minds and hearts over or up to whatever we are desiring above him. In this case these people in this scripture He is telling us about desired sexual impurity of degrading their bodies with one another, they exchanged the truth of God for a lie they believed so He gave them that lie they desired. A woman having unnatural sexual relations with a woman, and a man desiring to have unnatural sexual relations being with a man. They worshiped and served what they were creating rather than Him the Creator in what He created, who is supposed to be forever praised, Amen.

These people Paul is talking about through the Spirit of God desired a lie instead of God’s truth, this does not only mean sexual relations, it could be any desire that is not his truth. A hidden desire to steal, get rich, glorify yourself for all your accomplishments, or desiring things and pleasures of this world more than Him. It could be people desiring to please people above pleasing Him, and their own good works.

There are many lies we could each be desiring that are not God’s truth. What He desires for us is to be fully sanctified in knowing Him through Christ His Holy Son. Knowing His truth in who He is for all of us is eternal life, now and forever!

John 17:2 For you granted him (Jesus) authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

The true image of ourselves He can only give and reveal to us through His Spirit as we follow Him  through the faith He continually gives us through each of our own relationships and circumstances. God’s truth is always revealed to us through His Word and Spirit we are suppose to follow. The Spirit of God will teach us all things and give us His understanding of His word that can never be shaken.

John 14: 25 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

If you have been given the truth of who God is through Christ, and you do not glorify Him, thank Him or praise Him for all His truth of who you truly are, and you are desiring other things above getting to know Him then today you can change that!!

You can go to the Cross and truly give yourself to Christ, and ask Him for forgiveness for not glorifying Him and His truth, and not praising Him in words and deeds in all that you do and say.  He will forgive you and give you a true and clear understanding of him through His Spirit, that is not futile, and you will be given a full heart of love to purely glorify Him above all else in your life!! You can begin being the real true person you are, and experience true freedom in the abundant life He can only give you through His Spirit of truth! Today is your day to quit burying or suppressing his truth deep within you, and put all the lies behind you through His forgiveness, mercy and grace!

May His love keep you from burying your mind and heart in the sand, so you can live truthfully in His presence!!

Who are we living to please with our plans, ourselves, the world or God?

Who are we living to please with our plans, ourselves, the world, or God?

We hear so much about the divisions in America today. We hear about our divisions in our politics, races, sexual identities, what is sin and what isn’t, and what is accepted and what isn’t.  We here songs about it, we see different people in all walks of life doing different things about it. We hear speeches about it, but what wall of division should we keep up, if any, or what wall has been placed that no one will ever break? Is there so much greed, ignorance, hatred, and sin in America because many are living to please themselves, or the world?

First, we each must look deep within ourselves and ask who each of us want to truly please, God, ourselves or the world? It is that simple, either we can live to please the true God, ourselves, or the world. We will never be able to please all, but only One. When we please ourselves or the world we will not be pleasing our true God, and when we please God we will not be pleasing ourselves or the world.

Let us look at what happens to people who live to please themselves, the world and God through God’s Holy Word. There are many scriptures that tell us not to follow or trust in ourselves, and the world. Today we are looking at one in Isaiah, chapter 30, that tells us a lot of what happens when we follow ourselves and the world, and what happens when we turn to Him.

Isaiah 30: 1-3 Woe to the obstinate children, declares the Lord. “To those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin; who look for help to Pharaoh’s protection, to Egypt’s shade for refuge. But Pharaoh’s protection will be to your shame, Egypt’s shade will bring you disgrace.

If a person has faith in himself making his own plans and not considering God, they will be counting on other things and people while making there on plans along the way. They will be forming alliances but not with His Spirit. He will not be leading them, they will be living a life of sin, upon sin, and those who they are relying on whether it is themselves, others, a job they have, or a government that gives them assurance or protection all will end in them feeling shameful and who they are relying on will bring them disgrace.

NIV Isaiah 30:15 In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. You said, No, we will flee on horses. Therefore, you will flee. You said, we will ride off on swift horses; Therefore, your pursuers will be swift.

Repentance - The KJV uses the word “return” in the place of repentance. The Hebrew word is shuwbah is sounds like shoo-baw’ which means retirement, withdrawal or surrender. This means God wants us to get to the end of ourselves in our own strength and retire, withdrawal, surrender or return to Him as being Lord of our lives. He is the only one that can deliver us and save us from our sinful natures, greed, ignorance, and break the walls of hatred toward one another.

Rest – Hebrew word nachath sounds like nakh’-ath. this word means rest in attitude, chill out, don’t be afraid, anxious or loose self-control when sin comes knocking at your door. This means our attitude only rest in Him in all circumstances when we return or surrender ourselves to Jesus Christ as Lord of our lives. Through His Spirit He will give us a restful heart and delivers us while we wait!

Quietness – this word is shaqat it sounds like shaw-kat’ it means to be undisturbed while you wait or rest. All this is what God gives us through Jesus and our repentance or surrender to Him at the Cross, and we keep surrendering, resting, and being undisturbed by His presence. But the rebellious children who do not want to live by God’s Word and His teachings would not have anything to do with surrendering, resting in quietness of His Spirit they want to make their own plans and live their own lives the way they chose too.

Have you noticed a lot of “Christians” are desiring to only listen to pleasant things, and some have quit wanting to be confronted by the truth of God’s word they would rather live in illusions?

Isiah 30:9 These are rebellious people, deceitful children, children unwilling to listen to the LORD’s instruction. They say to the seers, “See no more visions and to the prophets, “Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions.

When we take our own way after God has told us to repent of our sins or to return to Him, our rest in Him alone is our salvation, in quietness of spirit and complete trust in Him is our strength, and we say NO, and want to go our own way he will let us to prove we are nothing without him in this world. Our sins will pursue us along with the wicked in the world, and one day we will cry to Him for help!

When one lives to please God and waits on Him there is another story….

Isaiah 3018 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him! O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes, you will see them. Whether you turn from the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it. Then you will defile your idols over laid with silver and your images covered with gold; you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, “Away with you!”

When we live to please God by waiting in surrender, rest and undisturbed spirit relying on Him and His Spirit as our Lord we will always hear His voice telling us where to go living out his plans and will for our lives. We will be giving up all things in ourselves, and in our lives, that are not Him that we idolized before. Not only do we have rest in our souls, and our hearts are full of His gracious assurance, He does more for us!

V 23 He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. IN that day, your cattle will graze in broad meadows.

The day we surrender and wait on Him He will give us strength, and begin blessing us in all we do, and we will have all we need to share with others!!

If you find yourself being rebellious against God because you have chosen not to live by His word, and not to return or surrender your soul and spirit in rest and quietness to Him. You can return, and surrender now this day and he can begin blessing you and giving you all you need!!! Never let Him go as you surrender your spirit, soul and body to Him everyday living out His Word through His given Spirit that clothes you in His righteousness, strength, restful soul and unending peace!!! He loves to prove these words to all His children in Christ!! He loves to prove to you through Him you will have all need in this life spiritually, physically and emotionally as you continue to live out His plan! Begin truly today, take that step of faith in Him and watch Him work in, through you and all around your life as you continue to follow His plan!!!

Have you been "Thunder Struck" by God's Word?

Have you been “Thunder Struck “by God’s word?

Jesus gave the name Boanerges to John and James the sons of Zebedee. This name means Sons of Thunder. For me it happened that way, I, like them became a daughter that had been struck by my Father’s Thunder, as if I was “Thunder Struck.”

Mark 3:17 James son of Zebedde and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means Sons of Thunder);

Our will to surrender, as John and James will to surrender, came and comes today by the Holy Spirit of Jesus giving us His faith in the Father, and His mercy and forgiveness for our sins by way of the Cross that washes over us transforming our spirit, body and soul as if we have been “Thunder Struck” by God as they were, willing to give Him All of themselves, we are too. What He gives us in mercy compels us to surrender all of who we are that is not Him daily, and when we do the fullness of Christ is given to us, and we become Daughters and Sons of Thunder as He spoke through John and James He speaks through us the same way. His mercy and forgiveness is like being thunder struck by God. His words are like thunder in our hearts, powerful and majestic, and they come through us to others the same way.

Psalm 29:3 The voice of the LORD is over the water; the God of glory thunders, the LORD thunders over the mighty waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic.

Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God- this is your spiritual act of worship.

Our act of worship toward God is giving ourselves to Him every day, and His mercy given to us is what compels us to give our bodies as sacrifices. If a person has not experienced God’s mercy which is his forgiveness of sins given to them through the Cross they will not be compelled to surrender their bodies as an act of worship to please God. Most of us worship God through service, traditions given by men, and through worshiping others. The only worship God wants is offering ourselves to Him in faith as sacrifices, in view of the mercy and forgiveness each of us have received by Him from the Cross, and the rest will come through us by His presence.

Today if you hear his voice do not harden your hearts toward Him and be disobedient going your way, or following others that are not following Him. If you have not experienced God’s voice living and active in you, through his word penetrating your soul like thunder dividing your soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and judging the thoughts and attitudes of your heart then you need to go to Him and ask Him to reveal His word to you this way.

Ask for his forgiveness in view of His mercy because you have been ignoring His Word as the truth of who He is; if you have. Ask Him to forgive you in view of His mercy for following others that truly have not been following Him; if you have. Ask Him in view of His mercy to forgive you for putting others, or service before giving yourself wholly to Him; if you have. He will uncover and lay bare the truth about you through His presence so you can give a correct account of yourself to Him. He will reveal the truth to you through His Word of truth, that penetrates like thunder. Listen and obey his truth that He reveals and you can begin to be a Daughter or Son of Thunder penetrating the world through His word with His power and grace!

Hebrews 4:7 Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

His thunderous peace and love always!

How long has many of His children been sleep walking?

Revelation 3:1b-2 I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake UP! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of God.

Is the majority of the “church” in America, and in the world sleep walking into death today when it thinks it is alive in Him? Do we need to Wake Up and truly follow Him and His life through His Spirit?

The definition of sleep walking was interesting to me. It is called somnambulism, and it is when an individual walks or does activities while they are unaware they are a sleep. With God and His relationship we can be deceived having a case of sleep walking, thinking we are awake and alive in him but truly we are a sleep and dead spiritually. I think we have been thinking we are fully alive in Him for quite some time as a church majority when we have been dead. God is telling us to Wake UP from our deception!!

Why isn’t the “church” or the majority of God’s body of believers resembling the first church in the New Testament? Why isn’t many of His children being healed spiritually, physically and emotionally? Why isn’t the world looking at His church and wanting to be a part of it, and why does His church look no different than the world that helps themselves?

Are we following His death within ourselves, His resurrection within ourselves, and within ourselves His life? The answer is clearly No, when I look at the majority of his body of believers today. We are not following Him or His Word through the Spirit He can only give. Let us look together and see His proof He has revealed to me.  We truly need to clean out our closets before He will give us our new wedding clothes of white.

Do we follow his child like Spirit as a Son wanting be taught by His Father, being a virgin bride clear of all other wisdom, trends, and traditions of the world that want to enslave us? Let us look at His life as our model and check and see if we are only married to one Spiritual husband?

First, like Him, where are we getting our wisdom from? Only from His Spirit, and only through receiving Him from the Cross will His Spirit open up the understanding of His words in our hearts. A natural man cannot see, hear, or conceive what God has prepared for them. His Holy Spirit will never add or subtract anything in our hearts that He does not open up through His written Word. In other words what is in the Bible is in our hearts through His direct Spirit, He does add or subtract anything that is not already written in the Bible. His Spirit and the Bible will always coincide with the same reasoning with one another. First comes the Spirit of God directly into the heart and mind of his children, then His Word opens up in their hearts and mind. The person then has the mind of Christ through His Spirit and are capable of knowing for certain the deep things of God. When a person experiences this revelation it is quite overwhelming at first, but He will calm his child down where they can speak through His self-control as their soul rest comfortably in Him alone.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 However, as it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him, but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

1 Corinthians 4:15 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment. For who has known the mind of the Lord that he my instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

With this written let us begin and see if the majority of his “body” of believers today go by His Written Word through his death, resurrection, and life, or do they follow another Jesus they are creating, with a different gospel, and are we putting up with it easily?

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.

Did His "church" long ago let someone come in and preach another Jesus other than the Jesus Paul preached? Let us look at the life of Jesus and see if the majority of the “body”  has been following the same Jesus Paul preached about, the same gospel, and the same spirit Paul received.

Did Jesus go to seminary school to learn about God, to know God, did he have to pay to get a degree before He could be a Priest, council or do His ministry? Did any of his disciples, or apostles? God chose Him, called Him, and gave Him all He needed to be all of what God His Father was asking Him to be through His Spirit? All though we know He was God he still was a perfect human with no blemish or sin He had to depend totally on His Godliness to accomplish all His Father was asking Him to do. Jesus sent us out into the world just like God sent Jesus out into the world, although we are not perfect, He does a perfect work in and through us every day as we die every day to our nature giving him our own personalities to be used for his purpose. We should be looking at his life and our life should follow His spiritually, physically and emotionally through His Spirit. Is it?

Clearly any believer as well as non-believers can see the difference in His first “church” and the church we are claiming to be His today. When you compare the first followers of Christ they clearly  followed his death, life and resurrection, and He worked through them because of it. Today not so much and it is easily seen.

Did Jesus tell his first followers to celebrate Christmas, and Easter, or did He? Did the first body of believers?  No He didn’t, and His first body of believers did not either. What did He tell them to do in remembrance of Him?

Luke 22:19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new convent in my blood, which is poured out for you.

When we look at the life of Jesus he was living through the law at the time. He was a Hebrew Jew and was raised with their sacrificial laws, offerings, festivals, and Sabbath days so He lived them out in his life because He came first to fulfill all their laws, offerings, festivals and Sabbath days through His Spirit first. While he was still alive he gave them little rain drops of his truth because they would not be able to understand all of what He was saying at the time, until he resurrected, and then the Spirit would remind them of all He said, and through the Spirit each person could then fulfill the law being free of doing all those things, but through Him could be right with God.

Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

John 1:16 From the fullness of his grace we have all received on blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God, but god the One and only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.

Romans 5:9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him! For if, when we were God’s enemies we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, ow much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ in whom we have now received reconciliation.

John 14:25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart’s be troubled and do not be afraid.

This would mean the Jews would not have to do all these festivals, offerings, and laws physically any more. He would complete them within himself through His Spirit when they receive Him after the resurrection through the Cross, and be reconciled to God through Him and not have to live through the law anymore! I can't imagine how much weight was lifted off of the first Jews. Not only for their sins, but for having to live through the law of keeping all those sacrifices and laws they themselves could not ever keep.

Another piece of evidence that the “body” is not following today that the first church did is through the orderly worship instructions that is in 1 Corinthians 14:29-31, the majority of believers today truly do not worship this way. Many are in too big of a hurry to do what they want to do, and do not give Him first priority on Sunday much less in their daily lives. Many want to keep the one speaker and all listening method without sharing God's revelations from others with the whole body gaining more of Him through it. Others have been taught a certain way and they are sticking to what they have been taught by others, justifying it in many ways, and again man following other men and not God.

1 Corinthians 14:29-31 Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said, and if a revelation comes to someone sitting down, the first speaker should stop.  For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged.

We can truly see from what has been written by way of His Spirit of truth that Jesus did not tell his children to go to Seminary school, celebrate his birth, his resurrection on certain days, and we can clearly see His first followers in the Bible did not either. He clearly knew in Him they would every day hold on to what He could only give.

How much of a virgin do you think God sees when He looks at His majority of churches today, are they presenting themselves to him as a complete virgin? Sadly to say not many, and for a very long time when you go back in history.

Thank God we can Wake UP, be the few that truly follow Him, His life, death and resurrection and prove His Word through His Spirit can turn His children around! It is not too late to repent and Him begin working in and through His children just like He did through the first church and then the world can truly see how different we are from them and many more will be drawn to Him!

Revelation 3:4 Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes will, like them, be dressing white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

We can repent and begin again only keeping what He wants us to keep, clean out our closet with all the clothes that do not belong to Him, and that means EVERYTHING! I know how tempting it is to keep some of the old, but clean it out for Him and He will give you the strength and will power to do it!! If we only want to put His wedding clothes on, we will give up all things for Him and His sake, and we will test everything. If we want to be a virgin Spiritual bride and Him being our only Spiritual husband we are married too, meaning the only God we listen to as Lord of our lives, we will, if we do not then we will not; He will never force us.

Would He then be working in and through us like He did in His first church? I do not know that is up to Him, but I am willing to give up all for His sake, are you?  This was a huge step for me to give up what I followed most of my life, but He has brought me too far to continue not giving up all he is asking of me, and pressing on each day through His Spirit of truth to be more like Him as He molds me into His true image, his love compels me to move and do and I must follow if I want to remain in His love and guidance. The same goes with you where ever you are.

It is up to us all to be obedient to Him giving up what He is asking us too so he can work freely in and through us for His purpose of creating a Kingdom of His very own as He did through His first church. If you are willingly please join me, and we can rejoice in Him together growing more into his image while he works in and through us more freely as He did His first church.

Are you neglecting God's gift?

Are you neglecting God’s gift?

Have you ever got a gift you didn’t need or couldn’t use?  You like the gift, but it is put in a closet somewhere or sits on a shelf collecting dust. Sometimes you use the gift for something it was not made for, and you don't get the full benefit of why it was made. Maybe you don’t need it, and it has no true purpose but to “look good” on a shelf for all to see.

God’s gift of Jesus, His Holy Son, is different. He is not wrapped in a pretty bow, or in a box like other gifts. He doesn’t want to sit and look pretty on a shelf. He wants to be used in you, and through you for others for His purpose. He is active and does not sit on a shelf. He does not give like the world gives. His gift came a different way, from the Heavenly realms of God, through a Cross, through a crucifixion, through persecution, betrayal, and blood. His gift came through atonement of our sins, through a resurrection, and the giving of His righteousness through His Spirit.

He is given to us for a purpose, and He works in us, and through us by all the spiritual gifts He gives us of Himself to use in building up His Kingdom for God, His, and through Him, our Heavenly Father.  We are not suppose to neglect his gift like we neglect others. His gift is the gift of God, of Himself; He is given to us for His purpose. Many today are neglecting His gift by putting other gifts above Him. They have a love for money, and a love of other things and people above Him. They are wandering from His faith and putting their faith in themselves, other people, money, and pleasures of this world in making them whole and true.

1 Timothy 4:14-16 Do not neglect your gift, which was given to you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters: give yourself wholly to them, so that every may see your progress.  What your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you I, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Today we who are in Christ are anointed by God through His message of salvation from the Cross, and this anointing can come from God alone as it did with Paul or through His children as it did with Timothy. We have been anointed the fullness of Christ to be used in us for His purpose not for our own motives, and we do not choose what part of Him to mold and shape as we determine, He molds and shapes us as He determines.

Colossians 2:9-12 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. In him you were also circumcised in the putting off of the sinful nature (flesh) not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.

We are to guard the gifts of Christ, the fullness of Him that has been entrusted to us by God. He and His gifts should be the most important gifts in our life, and not neglected. They come from God Himself!  His gifts have been entrusted into our care. We guard them by turning away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas that is falsely called knowledge because it will draw us away from our faith in Him, and we will not be able to use the gifts He has given us properly when we lose faith in Him.

1 Timothy 6:20 Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what I falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have wandered from the faith. Grace be with you.

Through the Spirit we are given all the spiritual gifts of Christ that help our physical, and emotional lives. If we neglect Him we are neglecting His gifts and we will not be walking and speaking through His will for our lives in His fullness in the building up His Kingdom. God does not ever take Him and his gifts away, but we neglect Him and His gifts when we are not obedient to His will. He can’t use His spiritual gifts to work in and through us for His purpose of making us whole in body, spirit, and soul for His sake, if we are neglecting our faith in Him and His gifts.

Ephesians 1:3 Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the Heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will-to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.

Today if you notice yourself neglecting His gifts, and you do not want to continue neglecting what He has given you from the Cross, the good news is you can repent, tell him with a sincere heart that you are sorry for putting Him on a shelf, or using parts of Him for your own purpose and use. Tell Him you want to experience the fullness of Him, and He will forgive you and restore your gifts of His Spirit so you can begin speaking and walking through life from all He gives you through His fullness for the building up of His Kingdom.

Grace be with you.

Have you truly given your life into the Potter's hands?

Have you truly given your life into the Potter's hands?

God uses different parables to describe our relationships with Him, and many today have not received the meaning of the Potter and the clay. There are a lot of other images today walking around that clearly are not being made as Him being the Potter and them being his clay. Their fruit, wisdom, and image reflect they are not, and many are being deceived.

For a piece of pottery to be made there has to be a lump of clay, a wheel, and there has to be a Potter that molds it. The clay is hard pressed on all sides so it becomes a design the potter desires. If the clay is hard it will not mold so a potter has to add water to it, and has it moves on the potter’s wheel the potter presses it and molds it to the shape he wants.

Spiritually speaking in God’s parables we are the clay, and He is the Potter. He is the Potter molding us into the image of His First Holy Son. He has been molding his children in this way since the creation of the world.

Isaiah 45:9 Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker, to him who is but a potsherd among the potsherds on the ground. "Does the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?' Does your work say, 'He has no hands’?"

A potsherd is a pottery fragment, and to God we are nothing but little fragments waiting to be shaped and molded into some design, and if you do not know He is the Potter you will be making yourself into something that he cannot use for his plan and purpose for his new Kingdom.

The clay cannot tell the Potter how it wants to be designed that is up to the Potter, so the clay has to yield to whatever the Potter wants it to be if the clay wants to be what the Potter wants to use for His purpose. If the clay yields then the Potter can design it has He determines, and it will be what it was intended to be, but if the clay does not yield to the Potter it will be of no use to the Potter for his plan and purpose for the building of his Kingdom.

Jeremiah 18:2-6 Go down to the Potters house, and there I will give you a message. So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. Then the word of the Lord came to me: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?”

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.  We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry about in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

This clearly tells us God is molding us by the power of the Holy Spirit into the image of his son, and we are yielding to Him as the Potter and we are His jars of clay. In Christ when we are hard pressed on every side, we are not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down but not destroyed. We have Him and what He gives us of himself surpasses, and delivers us from all we go through. We know Him by what He himself gives us, and we are clay being molded by His hands!

When we feel we are hard pressed on every side by trails and hardships He lightens the pressure by his peace, and we are never crushed.  Because we are perplexed about others at times he gives us joy in Him, and we are not over taken by despair. When we are persecuted at times He blesses us through His Spirit and through his other children, and we are never alone.  We may be struck down but we are never destroyed because we live in him now and always for eternity.  We are continually being made in the image of Christ becoming one with the Father as the Son was, is, and always will be with the Father. We deny our power and live through His power denying ourselves every day as we carry our cross so His life can be revealed in our bodies.

If you feel deep inside as if you are being crushed by the cares of this world, in deep despair, abandoned, and destroyed little by little everyday then you may not be yielding to Him as the clay into the Potters hand. For others they may feel like they are going on the right path but are being deceived and their path will lead them to destruction.

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to destruction.

Many today including "Christians"  are being the potter, and Him the clay as if He is the clay in their hands. Sexual immortality, alcohol, drugs of all kinds, lying, greed, and idol worshipers worshiping many people, themselves, and other gods is more reflected today in the world and among his believers.  Many of his  children do not reflect His holiness, and His redeeming power of grace through the image of Christ, his life, death, and resurrection.

Today I urge all of us to look in the mirror check and see if our image is something we are creating for our own purpose of who we want to be with our own motives, or are we being molded into someone the Potter wants us to be by putting our lives into the Potter hands.  We have His Spirit to live by within ourselves, and His Word that follows His Spirit that testifies if we are giving ourselves to the Potters hands. His Spirit, and His true word will always testify for us if we are reflecting His image and truly putting our lives into his hands, by him molding us and shaping us to His image. Is your image in the mirror reflecting the life, death, and resurrection of Christ through His Spirit?

If you see that the image in the mirror does not reflect, or is not being molded by His Spirit of himself and His Word the good news is you can repent of your sins; He is waiting for you!! Ask Him for forgiveness, tell him you are sorry for trying to be the potter, and you want Him to be the Potter and mold you into the image He wants you to be through Christ so you too can know Him as the Potter and live out His plan for your life as being His true child! He will give you His Spirit to begin molding you, and I urge you to continue to listen to Him through His Word of truth, and your true life can truly begin being molded by the true Potters hands!!

A life being molded by God the true Father and Potter is an amazing life that takes you far past yourself! If this is what you truly desire he will do it! Your new, and true life can begin growing and being shaped until He is finished with you on earth, and you will know with no doubts your beginning into eternity starts now in the Potters hands!

Do not be the pig that goes back wallowing in the mud!

There are “knows” God wants us to know. God gives us knowledge we are supposed to receive in the Bible through His Spirit of truth that is supposed to convict us through the Holy Spirit, and some of us are ignoring it, or some of us are ignorant to this knowledge. If you are in Christ this will grieve the Spirit of Christ in you that goes beyond your own shame for the sin you are committing or the wrong way you are going. Godly sorrow you receive from the Spirit of Christ will always lead you to a better way of life if you are wanting to please Him. I guess it truly depends on who we are truly wanting to please in this life we are living.

If you are not in Christ you will be judging your own sin, or your wrong way, and it may seem right by your own understanding and no change within will be taking place, and you will continue to live in it or going the wrong way.

If you do know these “knows” and receive them as His knowledge and then get all tangled up in the corruption of the world all over again you will be worse off then you were before you knew them through Christ.  You may be deceiving yourselves and don’t even know it.

2 Peter 2:20-21 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: A dog returns to its vomit, (Proverbs 26:11), and “A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud.”

The First “Know” we know within ourselves is if we have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior from the Cross. We know and want to follow His Spirit and power that gives us all we need in this life to escape the corruption of the world, and if we know Him we know this truth within ourselves. We will not want to be like the pig that goes back to wallowing in the mud, nor will be like the dog returning to its vomit. Are you being like the pig or the dog today or a true child of God? Have you received this knowledge of Him?

2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

If you know Him like this, God is telling us not to get tangled up again in the corrupted life we once led. Do not be like a pig returning to the mud, or like the dog returning to his vomit. Do not be drawn to the mud or the vomit keep your eyes on Jesus your Lord and Savior, repent, ask for forgiveness and commit your lives truly to Him.

The word entangle in the Greek language is empleko and it sounds like em-plek’-o. It means to get involved with, or weaved together with a thing, person or a way of thinking. If you are a child of God you want to be entangled with God, His Spirit, his love, and His purposes, if not you will return to the mud or the vomit like the pig and the dog. God is warning us not to go back to the mud or sin like the pig goes back to the mud after they are washed clean.

Another “know” we are to acknowledge in our lives that many are ignoring or being ignorant too through Christ comes from God through Paul to the Corinthian church in Corinth.

1 Corinthian 3:16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple.

I see all kinds of people ignoring the knowledge of their bodies being a temple He lives in. Some of the people who are among the body of believers today continue to smoke cigarettes, do drugs, over eat, over drink, live in sexual immorality, boasting of themselves and others, and with no change of heart.

God is saying through Paul to the body of believers in Corinth “You yourselves are God’s temple and God’s Spirit lives in you.” Why do you continue to follow your own way and live by your own wisdom? God says the same thing to us today as His children through His word. “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple, how can you do that knowing I want to live in you, don't you love me more than these?”

Paul pleads with them as a child of God knowing God lives in Him and Paul knows he has surrendered His life to Him. Today we who know Him and know He lives in us, because we have fully surrendered are pleading the same thing to His children. It is not only for their health and well being, it goes beyond that, it is for God and because He wants to live in them by way of the Cross, and He can’t fully because they will not give up things He is asking them too. They are not living in His will and plan for their lives.

V 18 Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a “fool” so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: He catches the wise in their craftiness,” (Job 5:13) and again, The Lord know that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” (Psalm 94:11) So then no more boasting about men, all things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the further- all are ours and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.

Paul is telling God’s children to become poor in wisdom as a “fool” not knowing anything in the presence of God, as a child wanting to be taught by Him, so He can live in them and they can follow Him as their Father knowing what is best for them. Paul wants them to have faith He will give them all they need to live by through His divine power to reject the corruption of deception and all ungodliness in this world, and through that same Spirit of Christ we too tell the same thing as Paul is telling the church in Corinth.

Through His divine power we can all receive these “knows” within ourselves and can all break the addiction to any drug, over eating, over drinking, sexual immorality, boasting of ourselves, and living by any standard this world lives by. Today do not be deceived, and answer the question God is asking you, “Don’t you know that you yourselves are my temple and that I want to live in you?”

If you don't know then go to the Cross and receive Him as Your Lord and Savior so you can be His temple that He lives in. Tell Him in all truth you know you are foolish and have no way of knowing Him, His thoughts and ways. Tell Him you want Him to truly change your life into His child knowing His wisdom and ways. Confess to Him with an open heart.  He will change your life into what He wants it to be, and you will know He lives in you and you want to give Him all of yourself so He can!! Don't be the pig that continues to wallow in the mud, or goes back to wallowing in the mud, be His temple through Christ He lives in and through!

What "if" do you want to follow?

Romans 8:9 You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, IF the Spirit of God lives in you. And IF anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ he does not belong to Christ.

Our Heavenly Father through Paul is not telling these people in the church in Rome that they all have the Spirit of Christ in them, he is telling them IF the Spirit of God is in them they will want to be or not want to be controlled by the Spirit of Christ as their Lord or controlled by the sinful nature. God never forces anyone to be controlled by the Spirit.

Our Heavenly Father explains through Paul what the Spirit of Christ accomplishes in them IF He is in them, and IF they want to be controlled by Him.

1) Your body is dead because of sin. Everyone’s body is dead spiritually because of sin. Meaning no human being is right spiritually with God.

2) Your human spirit is alive because of the righteousness of Christ His Spirit gives your spirit within. If you want to be controlled by this person you will be made into His righteousness. You are willing to be controlled by this new person that is within you.

3) “The Spirit gives life to your mortal (natural) body.” This means your mortal body will be given a supernatural lift of life from His Spirit that goes beyond your mortal body, beyond your mortal understanding, mortal knowledge, and mortal righteousness.

In other words, IF you willingly want your body to no longer be controlled by the sinful nature or the world, and you willingly want it to be controlled by  His Spirit, and through His Spirit you can overcome your sinful nature and the world.

V10 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And IF the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit.

He then tells them IF the Spirit of God is in them they have an obligation to fulfill as children of God to live by the Spirit of God, and IF they continue to live according to the sinful nature they will die.

V12 (A) Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation-but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For IF you live according to the sinful nature you will die;

This does not mean they will die only physically when the time comes, but spiritually as well. This means they will remain dead inside and not live true to themselves as His children by His life giving Spirit If they continue to live according to the sinful nature. Only those who live by the Spirit of God can see the change His life giving Spirit gives them. Only the Spirit of Christ saves us from living in hell for eternity. He then gives them another if.

V12(B)but IF by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because  those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

These words lets us know we can live by our sinful nature or by the Spirit, IF the Spirit is within us we then have the power to put to death the misdeeds of the body. IF the Spirit of God is not in us then Christ is not in us and we cannot live through His Spirit, and live now and for eternity, but if by the Spirit we want to put to death the misdeeds of the body we can now and live for eternity with Him.

Today IF we are not being led by the Spirit of God because we are not willing to, or because we would rather live by the sinful nature and all the pleasures it gives us, we will be spiritually dead toward God as long as we want to live by our sinful nature.  Even our good is not God’s spiritual best and His holiness. We will never know Him personally as our Lord and Savior, and He can never reveal to us who are now and live for eternity with Him.

IF you do want to live now and for eternity by the Spirit of God, but you know the Spirit of God through Christ is not in you then truly go to the Cross, tell God you have had a change of heart, you truly want to know Him, confess your sinful nature, and hand it all to Him to be crucified so you can come to life through His Spirit.

It is a huge leap to leave all behind, but what His life giving Spirit gives overcomes all you think you have lost. The true life He can only give you within is the only spiritual life within that completes you now, and all others things in life will come to you now for eternity! It is a narrow road full of His riches.

Where you spend eternity is a life much greater than the life you will spend here, and if you do not live according to His Spirit your life for eternity will not be with Him. What "if" do you want to follow? Your sinful nature, or the life giving Spirit of Christ? One is spiritual death now and for eternity in hell, and one is a life giving Spirit now and for eternity in Heaven.

Are you walking through life like a mule or a horse?

DO NOT BE LIKE THE HORSE AND THE MULE!

Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bride or they will not come to you.

God is talking to His children in this Psalm telling them not to be like the horse or the mule who have no understanding.

Most of my life I walked around like a “horse” and a “mule” with no understanding of who my Lord and God truly was. I went my own way, and I was my own councilor leading me where I thought I should go. I never came to Him willingly because I had no understanding of His love for me and my love for Him. I had no councilor or Holy Spirit to teach me the way I should go. I found out the only true way to know Him and which way in life I should go is through Jesus and the Cross.

When I went to the Cross I quit being that horse and mule with no understanding because I received the Holy Spirit and now I go willingly where ever he takes me because I have all I need from Him to be and do whatever He ask of me as His Holy child. His love surrounds me and keeps my heart upright in His presence, and it molds me into the person I was created to be as His true child.

Mules and horses are very stubborn animals, they will not come to you every time you call them, and you cannot control all of them without a bridle or bit.

I was raised around horses, and have heard stories about mules. I knew some horses that would come to me easily because they knew I took care of them and fed them, but still they would do as they wanted when they wanted. Horse lovers know they have to respect horses because of their size and stubbornness to a certain degree if they want to gain their trust.

I knew some that could be easily trained with bit and bridle.  I also have known horses that you would have to chase and trick for an hour or more before they were caught.  I have also heard about mules that would not move no matter what you did, and the next morning they would be standing in the same place you left them.

I have known horses that have gone without water and not drink when water was right in front of them. If you have been around horses or mules I am sure you have some stories about how stubborn they can be at times, and God being the one that created them knows them more than anyone. He tells His people not to be like them, but many are.

How many of his children today are still being “horses” and “mules” doing what they please and going the way they want to go when God plainly councils them to go another way?

How many of His children know He gives them all they need but still go the way they want to go?

How many of his children today walk away from Him when He is holding out his hand with food and water to live for eternity?

How many wander away from God and for years he has blessed them over and over and over again but they do not listen?

How many of His children have to go through hardship after hardship before they will acknowledge who He truly is?

Today if you see yourself in the mirror as a mule or a horse with no understanding of God then listen to Him calling you from the Cross, repent and confess your sins and He will forgive you. He will send you His councilor the Holy Spirit to lead you as He lead Jesus, and you can be made into His child in His presence every moment, and going where ever He calls you in word and deed, and have all the understanding of Him that you need.

John 15:26 When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.

As you put your trust in Him giving you all you need for His will for your life, His unfailing love will surround you and guide you for eternity. You will testify to others about His love you received from Jesus, and the love you now give Him through Jesus. He will keep your heart upright and you will rejoice in Him always.

Psalm 32:10 Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trust in him. Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous, sing, all you who are upright in heart!

Do not be like the horse and the mule and miss out on the understanding of Him He has for you through the Cross of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! Let Him be your guide to who you truly are!

Are you God's Salt of the Earth through Christ?

Good day to all, grace and peace from God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ.

What does the correct measure of salt give your food? Doesn’t it lighten up all the natural food flavors beyond what they would taste like without it? We need some salt in our food to make our bodies healthy, but not too much, and not too little. There are time we have used too much and our health is in jeopardy. I have tasted some food that taste very bland like card board with no life, but add a little salt and it taste great!

Jesus tells us He is the salt of the earth.

Matthew 4:13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

Colossians 4:6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

If you are led by the Spirit of God you can experience the change within yourself if he has altered your behaviors to the image of His. For example their might have been a time in your life you would have acted with harsh sarcasm, mocking someone, or making fun of them to the point your attitude may be a little too spicy. Like your food when you add too much pepper.

Proverbs 22:10 Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife; quarrels and insults are ended.

The word mocker means a person who ridicules by mimicry of action or speech; mimic in contempt. If you see yourself being this person, or God is revealing to you another person being this way you would like to help, you could always say to yourself or to another person, “Jesus is the salt of the earth, I believe I am, or you are using too much cyan pepper.”

Another example might have been a time when you my have snapped at someone without self-control, and when we are lead and being led by the Spirit self-control and discipline is something His Spirit gives us. In this case you may have used to much cyan pepper.

Proverbs 22:24 Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered. Or you may lean his ways and get yourself ensnared.

Then there is another time we may have experienced bitterness, resentment toward someone because they don’t think and like the same things you like. Then you would be using too much salt.

Romans 3:14 their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness, their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know.

Still another time you and I may have been, or are being now too sweet and no change in us, and no change in the other people around us will occur, we may be more concerned with pleasing ourselves and others more than God.

1 Thessalonians 2:4 On the contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please men, but God, who tests our hearts.  You know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed-God is our witness. We were not looking for praise from men, not form you or anyone else.

If we see our behaviors being examples of using to much pepper, cyan pepper, salt, or sugar by all these behaviors being revealed to us then we need to turn to Christ and repent. Receive His forgiveness and grace so you will be able be His salt of the earth allowing Him to speak when and how in His correct measure, so you can remain in his peace, guarded by His love, so others may be drawn to Him. He is the only "salt" that keeps it's saltiness and does not loose it's flavor!

His peace, and saltiness always!
